Here's a shot of the 1.9 liter. Note that the head is about 25mm taller than a 1.6l head. Walter used the same turbo (Garrett T3) that is OEM on 1.6l TD's. He had to modify some 1.6l hard fuel lines
to fit the new injector position, and used a special long vacuum pump / oil pump drive shaft to get everything to reach down to the high-volume oil pump. The 1.9l head has hydraulic lifters and big ports,
and requires a special big-port intake manifold. One thing that you might notice as odd is the way the valve cover seems
to attach - only two hold down fasteners, in the middle of the cover. Anyways I think Walter's caddy looks like fun. He reports that wheelspin is attainable in first! When you consider
that usually the Garrett T3 doesn't get going until the engine has some big load to push against - like second or third gear, wheelspin in first takes on a whole new meaning for this engine.
And Walter hasn't even turned up the pump yet...
