ATP written

The dreaded ATP written is done and it was about as brutal as I'd expected it to be.

I wish I had some deep insight into the test, but it's just not particularly relevant to the real-world and takes knowledge of the arcane to a new level.

I'd taken probably 10 practice tests using the faatest.com software and studied the ASA test prep book from cover to cover a few times over the past month.

This morning I woke up and figured I probably wasn't going to learn much more than I already knew so I walked in to the testing center, sat down and gave it a shot.

My target score was a 90 or above and I made an 89. I'll take it because I'm just so sick of studying for the thing and because I expected much less when I finished up.

I'm pretty sure I could take the test 20 more times and improve my score by a few points at most twice, make the same score three times and card a lower score the other 15 times.

So, it's done and I'll accept the results. If someday it become important to show a higher score on the ATP written to get a job, well, I'll probably look for a different job.
