Technical Materiel Corporation GPT-750 Transmitter

The ULTIMATE Boatanchor! Weighs 822 pounds, has pair 4-400A final. Operates on LSB, USB, ISB (Independent Sideband), AM (low kevel) and CW from 1.5-32 Mhz. Requires a degree in Rocket Science to tune up (well, almost). I have had this one since 1974. I hardly use it any more, since bitten by QRP bug, but once it's moved in, it's pretty well there to stay!

The newest of my 3 KWM2/2as. This is the Round Emblem. It still is one of the best sounding SSB rigs around. Also have 399C-1 VFO with it. The oldest is a straight KWM-2, Serial #570

A Place to avoid! The BASWAPLIST Mailing List.

Run by a California Lawyer with delusions of grandeur. After a post by someone that he considered SPAM, he posted a long message in legalese, threatening legal action if a $100,000 fee was not paid to him for all messages HE considered SPAM. Ended up his tirade with this:

"The fee is $100,000 per each incident of spam, as defined above.

Eugene Rippen, List Manager Attorney at Law, Calif State Bar Number 36511"

Kinda figures, doesn't it?

"Law is a sick profession marked by incompetence, lack of training, misconduct and bad manners. Ineptness, bungling, malpractice, and bad ethics can be observed in court houses all over this country every day. These incompetents have a seeming unawareness of the fundamental ethics of the profession". -Chief Justice United States Warren Burger
