Hammarlund

I am in the process of assembling a 100% USA made classic HAMMARLUND station from the late 1960's.  The classic Hammarlund station consists of the HX-50A SSB/ CW/AM transmitter, HXL-ONE amplifier, HX-180A receiver, and SP-200 speaker.  The receiver is in the basement awaiting some repairs following an 'alignment gone bad'.   The transmitter and amplifier are in the mail and on their way here.  I owned a similar station, sans HXL_ONE, back in the early 1970's.  Wish I kept it.  So 33 years later I am reassembling the station for the sheer pleasure of owning the equipment and making contacts with it.   I will post photo's of the equipment when I get the station setup, and I'll include more info on the radio's.   I have always been fascinated with the manufacturing location name, a distant and mysterious place called  'Mars Hill, North Carolina'.  73, Scott WA9WFA
