OUR PRACTICE

William A. Barnett O.D.,P.A.

Dr. Barnett is a graduate of Washington College and the Illinois College of Optometry. He also received his post graduate in child development from the University of Maryland. He has been in practice for over 35 years at South River Eye Care and the Bowie Optometric Group. Dr. Barnett is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Maryland Optometric Association and served on the Maryland Board of Examiners.

Karen S. Beling O.D.

Dr. Beling is a graduate of Wilkes University and the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. She has been in practice for several years at South River Eye Care and the Bowie Optometric Group. Dr. Beling is a member of the Maryland Optometric Association.

Michael F. Diffendall O.D.

Dr. Diffendall is a native of Lititz, Pennsylvania.  After attending the University of Delaware, he received his doctorate from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia, PA.  Since graduation in 1995, he has been in practice in both Pennsylvania and Maryland.

Dr. Diffendall is trained in primary care optometry, ophthalmic pathology, specialty contact lens fitting, as well as refractive laser procedures.  He is licensed to utilize both diagnostic and therapeutic pharmaceutical agents for the detection and treatment of eye disease.

When Dr. Diffendall is not practicing optometry, he enjoys boating and sailing on the Chesapeake with his wife, Johanna and their Cocker Spaniel.  His other recreational interests include running, biking, and weight training.
