Daniel Watts Troy, Sr. The Troy and the Watts families certainly had many connections. Two daughters of Gov. Watts, Florence and Alice both married Troy men, who were cousins. And Daniel Watts Troy, pictured above, married his 1st cousin Jane Eddins Watts. The Watts and Troy men also practiced law together. The Troys originally came from North Carolina and today have many desendants still living in the Montgomery area. Their burial plot can be found in the St. Margaret's (Catholic) section of Oakwood Cemetery.
