Watts Cemetery, Butler County
Highway 10 West
Watts Cemetery is located just a few miles west of Greenville on Highway 10 on the edge of a cotton field. John Hughes Watts, father of Gov. Thomas Hill Watts is buried here along with several other family members. In all likelyhood this is the site where John Hughes and Prudence Hill Watts lived and raised their family. There is evidence of a home close by. After Gov. Watts grew up here he later moved to Montgomery.
