Third Writing
|
After deliberations with myself, I have decided to say what it is I 'believe' in.
I know I will regret it later but let me say this right up front.
I reserve the right to change my mind. :)
My first writings here were about discovery. The discovery of self and of the unseen world around us. The second writings were a cacophony of possible scenarios that would change our reality. This, my third writing, is about one scenario that I have truly come to believe. In so many ancient cultures there are stories, myths, folklore or religions that have a running theme. A theme I find hard to ignore. There is always a Being in charge. God, Zeus, Odin, Enki, Enoch. There are His people: angles, lesser gods, the lower ranks. They are closer to this Head Honcho then humans. The humans owe their existence to that Head Guy. Whether we were made out of clay or manipulated into existence by playing with our DNA, or enhanced by superior beings to be used as slaves or life was breathed into us by a higher being and then evolution took over. What ever. 1. We were not here. 2. Someone else was. 3. They did something. 4. Poof...we exist. Then something happens. Humans end up on someone's shit list. Our very existence is abhorrent to that someone. In some ancient cultures it's the Head Guy that gets mad at us for over stepping our bounds or He gets worried that His people are getting too fond of us. In other myths it's the Head Guys' people who become jealous of humans because we seem to have the favor of that Head Guy. Either way, we humans have a superior being who hates our guts and proceeds to try and off us. When this happens the Being/Beings who like us or feel responsible for us step in and try to protect us. This split in the affection toward humans is apparent in many cultures. Anyway, back to business here. I believe, that there is a being that is bent on destroying us. This creature is long lived. It may even be immortal. It has contrived a well thought out deliberate plan to ruin the human race. The means to our destruction are many. War, disease and natural disasters are among the obvious instruments of our destruction. Obvious, but still ingenious. The fact that the blame for this stuff is never laid on the real perpetrator is proof of it's ingenuity. How many times have you heard someone say, "Why would God let this happen?" As if God were responsible for these bad things! But like I said before, those are the obvious ways 'It' is using to hurt us. The most damaging, insidious, degrading way to destroy the human race is to get us to destroy ourselves. And like it!!! A good example of this is detergent. We like detergent Soap. Lovely cleansing foam gently lifts the dead skin and grime particles off our bodies and rinses them away. Away...down the drain. We wash everything in it. Our kids, our homes, our clothes, our dishes. We soak in it. We wallow in it. If you don't use soap you are filthy. You smell bad. You must not be a good person. Soap and water = clean.. Water is the source of life. Water is life. Until you add the detergent. Then it is poison. Yes, it goes down the drain into the ground. Into the river...into the sea. It's a perfect crime don't you think? We contaminate the entire planets water supply with a filth called detergent in order to keep ourselves clean. This demon has eternity to watch us fall into It's diabolical trap. It can maneuver the human race into embracing the stuff of it's annihilation. He can sit, unmolested, as fluoride, milk, antiperspirant, tobacco, detergent, plastics and the automobile kill us. He has nothing to fear from us because as far as we're concerned, he doesn't exist.
I know. I still use soap and deodorant. I have been looking into those steam cleaners for the home. Maybe someone will read this and invent a way to process sand so we can use it to clean ourselves. Or sonic showers like on Star Trek.
I hope the benevolent Being/s is as motivated to help us, as the malevolent one is to slaughter us. Jan |
