So this is how it is going to be...this week new reduced standards for breast cancer screening have been recommended by
some obscure government sponsored panel. No more than a few days later, similar recommendations for reduced cervical
cancer screening were revealed by a similar panel. After which, this writer heard people say, "Health care rationing has begun".
Seems to this blog to be an astute interpretation of the two recommendations.

Imagine my surprise...mass media reported that the timing of the release of the two recommendations was coincidental.

Some people assert those are the first salvos of health care reform. This blog does not disagree.

It is now logical to soon expect a third recommendation for reduced cancer screening. It is also logical to predict that the next
target will be a suggested reduction of colonoscopies. That is the other cancer screening which medical professionals and mass
media have been emphatically promoting in recent times.

Government initiated health care reform...another good idea which will go horribly wrong.

Today this blog presents a simple but consistent random observation:

There are a great many people out there, who, in their own twisted minds, are trying to save the world (one stupid idea at a time).
There is one basic problem with this fact:

All to often, in the process of trying to be a hero, those folks inevitably make thing worse (they screw things up).

The above described condition will be painfully demonstrated to millions of Americans if the government enacts the planned
health care legislation, and the severity of the stupidity involved will, over time, become exponentially self evident.

Saw a human interest story on CNN today. The theme was Experts Calming Dooms Day Fears.
Scientists dispel rumors of 2012 global catastrophe.

At this point in time, this blog is of the mindset that shortly after 2012, one will be able to say:
The end of the world has been cancelled due to a lack of popular interest

However if one were to apply Backwardness theory to that CNN piece, we may be in for a rough ride in 2012.

Also, it should once again be mentioned that the 2012 dooms day hype is not unlike the pre Y2K hype and thus
one can expect a similarly unremarkable outcome.

As one hears the news reports of a mass shooting incident at a military base in Texas, and the initial reports have included
reports of there being more than one perpetrator (multiple lunatic gunmen), in my mind, just can not begin to comprehend
the need for such high strangeness this today.

Of the course the obvious explanation is that the shooter(s) must have been mind control victim/robotic assassins and that
their programming was activated to create a distraction from some other national issue (likely to divert attention from what
Congress is doing on the health reform legislation issue).

Should have blogged about the  balloon boy saga before now but better late than never. Soon as that balloon landed
and the six year old boy who was alleged to be on the balloon was no where to be found, I says to the wife, " This is
a clear case of  boy in the well.  The kid is at home, hiding in a box". The next morning, heard a news report on the
radio that the boy had been at home, hiding in a cardboard box in the garage attic. Imagine my surprise.

The boy in the well reference derives from the movie 12 Monkeys. Long story short in the movie, the main character
describes an incident he recalls where a boy supposedly fell into and was trapped in a well. Half of the town was at the
scene, rescuers where talking to the boy, there were live minute to minute news radio updates and such. The boy was
not in the well. The boy was talking to thru a baby monitor device he'd dropped into the well, and was hiding in a barn.

So balloon boy was a text book case of boy in the well. Which in some twisted way, is an applicable metaphor for much
of what we are collectively conditioned to think as a society, and thus we pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.

What if  NASA  bombed the Moon and nothing happened? Such a scenario does well to describe events occurring on the
morning of October 9, 2009. This writer could go into some detail about what television viewers saw of the event, but it is
unnecessary. To be sure, two things did happen that morning at the NASA LCROSS control center where both scientists
and news reporters were gathered for the climax of the LCROSS Moon Mission.

The scientists cheered and applauded and the news reporters simply scratched their heads in bewilderment and in that order.
And for once, the reporters got it right. To say visual evidence of the two lunar impacts was less than spectacular would not
sufficiently describe the event. A description of what was seen on television (in terms of actual impact and result) would be
essentially nothing. It is anybody's guess as to what exactly the scientists were so thrilled about.

As far as this blog is concerned, the reaction of the reporters was understandable and that of the scientists (in context) was
if nothing else, extremely consistent. This blog's interpretation of the reaction of the scientist can be summarized in one word.
Backwardness.  Any time that something of paradigm shattering significance is found its dismissed as a pile of rocks and or
covered up and hidden away from public view or both (in that order).

In that fantasy world so many others seem to be living in, recognition, acceptance and dissemination of factual truth is the
exception. The reaction of the scientists was extremely consistent with the larger trend of institutionalized backwardness,
which this society lives.

Yet another thing which this blog finds to be baffling beyond any measure of logic (in part due the obvious lack actual
achievement), the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize has been awarded to the President of the United States. This President and
his Presidency just continue to become more surrealistic every day. Watching network television news shows has become
not unlike an perpetual glimpse of a Salvadore Dahli painting. From the sublime to the absurd is a severe understatement.

Who would have thought that the Nobel Prize Committee would jump on the cult of personality bandwagon surrounding
the current President of the United States of America? But yet another anomaly in the continuing saga of the never ending
series of incongruous turns of events, all of which continue to indicate as well as expose the twisted, bizarre and ludicrous
ideological nature of western civilization and feel good leftist humanism.

What will be next,  Roman Polanski  as TIME Magazine's man of the year?

It would appear that a great many health care workers in the state of New York are not very happy as. According to an
Associated Press news story, they "plan to rally at the state Capitol today to protest a state regulation requiring them to
get a swine flu shot by the end of November or lose their jobs".

And who can blame them! As it is today, this writer is relieved that my continued employment is not contingent upon
acquiescing to the whim of the indolent politicians who enacted such a regulation, which will likely cause some good
hard working people to be fired from their jobs. Politicians who no doubt, would themselves never in a million years
enact similar legislation which would affect them in an equally invasive manner and/or cripple their livelihood.

At least once in the past (about August-September 2008) this writer had been exposed to the idea that September 30th would
be the time when the clock runs out which would herald the financial day of reckoning for the U.S. government, and beginning
of the end of high finance as we have known it...I continue to hold my breath.

In a previous blog entry (May 10) this writer said,

...the downward spiral of the global financial crisis appears to have stabilized...
is not getting any worse or any better) and this writer is somewhat bewildered by that.
The downward spiral should not have stopped, (in my view) because the system has not yet
     completely collapsed (finished imploding).

As this blog sees it, the global financial system still has not yet finished imploding. The Bernard Madoff investment funds were
a ponzi scheme fraud. The Federal Reserve banking system is a similar ponzi scheme. The primary difference between the two
is scope...a ratio which roughly equates to bullying school kids for their lunch money versus cleaning out Fort Knox (literally).

When it can be seen the Federal Reserve is going the way of the Madoff  funds, complete financial implosion will have resumed.

There are those who would assert, that by his recent remarks on racism, former President Jimmy Carter is in the throws of
some degenerative brain disease. This blog does not accept that idea. This writer thinks Mr. Carter is in possession of his
full mental faculties and thus he believes (in his heart) what he says.

The following concept may be difficult for some folks to comprehend (or not) but here goes: The opposite of racism is not,
to not hate those people who are of a race other than your own. Not hating other races of people is a neutral mind set which
by its nature, is not extreme thus can not be an opposite position. A neutral state is characteristic of a balanced perspective.

Logically, the opposite of racism is reverse racism, hatred of your own race (an unbalanced extreme opposite position).

The opposite of racism would be to hate that race which you are classified as. To assert that those who are in opposition
to the ideas and policies of a person simply because they are all not of the same race, (in the context of this blog) indicates
at least one of two conditions exist within an individual making such a claim. Chronic neurosis and insipid ignorance.

There may be another explanation for comments as ridiculous as those of Mr. Carter. Perhaps he simply can not process
the fact that not every American is stupid enough to buy into the cult of personality surrounding the current U.S. President,
and after searching his mind, he can not deduce any other explanation for those who do not agree with the current American
President's policies. So he then defaults to exploiting race relations...a disgusting ploy, which this blog suspects is wearing
thin with the American people in general, as is indicated by the apparent official White House response of...no comment.

On this the 8th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks in America, a great many of the American people
simply do not understand, realize, accept or can even comprehend, that all the truth of the events of that day has yet to be
disclosed. Too many people are to willing to accept the half truths and lies we are spoon fed by the mass media because to
think otherwise would severely disrupt their personal paradigm and that just doesn't work for them. They are we the sheeple.

As with the assassination of President Kennedy in 1963, the planning, execution of, and events following either of those
history changing days, any person who truly believes all the pertinent information has been told to the American people
is deluding themselves.

With the thought in mind that we are constantly told what reality is, I recall that at a young age a wise person told me,

Last evening the President of the United States spoke to a joint session of Congress, presumably in an effort to gather
more support for the proposed Congressional healthcare reform, which is consistently being incorrectly referred to as
the President's healthcare reform plan. Ascribing the proposed healthcare reform to the President is at best a misnomer
and at worst, is an outright lie. Members of Congress and Congressional Staff are those who are crafting the legislation.

Before writing this entry, this writer intentionally avoided exposure to any mass media coverage and commentary of the
President's Congressional address (which by the way, more than anything was reminiscent of a high school pep rally led
by a cult of personality). This blog thought it best to create this entry with no knowledge of what anyone else thought or
said about the President's speech, so as to avoid contamination of my thoughts by corporate media whores.

Worth repeating is something which has been said before in this blog; The motivation behind healthcare (or health insurance)
reform is not to fix a malfunctioning system. It is about appeasing the particular ideology, which is that of  The Party  leaders.

Another on topic salient thought of this blog...Some folks assert that if the Medicare/Medicaid system continues on just as it
always has, it will bankrupt this nation. To be sure, a semi correct but moot point. The United States of America is already
bankrupt even though it has not been declared or announced by official sources. If an entity has accumulated massive debt
to the extent that mathematically it can never pay off the debt, then that entity is technically bankrupt. A concise description
of the current depleted financial condition of the Corporation of the United States of America.

Its was about 10pm Friday evening during Labor Day weekend, we were on our way home, driving on what for us is usually
the road not taken and is a road less traveled (which oddly enough is same road where the home of Robert Frost is located)
when we came upon what was a new experience for me...a police road block sobriety check point. As it is, this writer tends
to favor the better virtues of temperance (as opposed to succumbing to the evils of the demon rum), thus the brief encounter
with the local law enforcement authorities (public safety officers) was an amusing distraction. Very quickly the cop became a
whole lot less interested in talking to me, than I was in talking to him. However the curiosity did not quite end there.

Less than a quarter mile after we passed through the road block, there was a lone police cruiser. Presumably that cop was
there to go after any stinking drunks astute enough to realize that a sobriety check point was up ahead and were turning
around to avoid the road block and the inevitable unpleasantness of a drunk driving arrest.

Around this country, there are many ordinary people doing not so ordinary things. One such person is a farmer in a small
New Hampshire town. Every autumn this guy and his associates engage in an activity known as pumpkin chuckin.

The contraption they use to chuck the pumpkins is a rather large (baseline height of 56 feet) trebuchet  (basically a catapult
powered by a counter weight). To be sure, it is a sight to see and good clean family type fun. When we were there last year,
by the time the second pumpkin was airborne, there was easily more than a hundred spectators there. People bring their kids,
grandparents and even the family dog. Some folks go so far as to consider their attendance a kind of pilgrimage.

And if that were not enough, as it turns out the weekly open to the public, trebuchet demonstrations are practice sessions in
preparation for a national competition held every November somewhere in Delaware. The Greenfiled, New Hampshire team
Yankee Siege, have been participating in the competition for a number of years now and they avail themselves very well as it
is typical for them (in their category) to win the competion as well as to set distance records for trebuchet pumpkin hurling.

It is quite a spectacle to see a 50 pound pumpkin hurled more than a quarter of a mile by medieval catapult.
I have been told practice sessions/public demonstrations resume in Greenfield, Saturday September 26, 2009.

A few more words from this blog about (some call it socialized medicine) national healthcare and healthcare reform.

Seems to this writer, that this society already has a national healthcare system in place, however to be entitled, individuals
must fall within certain specific government mandated guidelines to qualify and receive coverage. Ever heard of Medicare
and Medicaid? This writer has not heard of any significant discussion relating to the proposed healthcare reform, which
would attempt to fix Medicare and Medicaid, which by the way is precisely where healthcare reform absolutely must begin
if government orchestrated healthcare reform is to actually have any hope of success.

As it exists now, the primary motivation behind the proposed healthcare reform is to appease a particular ideology and
the simple truth is, the actuality of that conflicts with what is most sensible for this nation and its citizens.

If Party Member politicians were truly sincere with regard to their purported desire for meaningful healthcare reform
and universal coverage for all uninsured Americans, it seems to me that the obvious solution is to simply expand and
revamp the already existing Medicare/Medicaid systems. Unfortunately those systems are so rife fraud and waste that
the systems have, quite some time ago, become a financial fiasco (a money pit on steroids). So much so that any plan
which would willingly burden those systems with more users, would be a colossal error in judgment.

Its is a valid argument to assert that something must be done. However strange as it may sound, choosing to do nothing
is doing something and, may well be a far better choice than what would be an ill conceived attempt at corrective action.

This blog does not and will not work on the assumption that all these politicians crying out for healthcare reform, actually
believe in the proposed changes and legislation. How many of them even know what they themselves really think, versus
following the path of least resistance which is to simply regurgitate and support the Party Line. Begs the question it does,
How many Party Members are true believers and how many are just going along to get along?

This past weekend the wife and I went on a bit of a road trip. A number of incidents and events which occurred during
our excursion, are most correctly and succinctly described (and summarized) as, the Good the Bad and the Ugly.

The Good: Barely an hour after starting out on the road, we saw the complete arc of a rainbow. What was unusual was
the fact it was in the western sky, something which this writer has rarely (if ever) seen. That was cool. On our way home,
we stopped at a random restaurant which turned out to be quite satisfactory. Also got to see friends and family which we
just do not get to see enough of. And for the highlight of our trip we attended a surprise party that actually was a surprise.
Thumbs up to the person who planned the party as it was all good.

The Bad: It was a road trip so needless to say on the return journey, we had to make a pit stop, so we pulled into the
state of Connecticut visitor welcome center rest area on interstate 95 near exit 67. Imagine our surprise when we saw
a sign on the building entrance door which read CLOSED. One has to think, closed presumably due to budget cuts,
as it was not 'after hours'. Other folks there were not pleased either. It was bad.

The Ugly: As already mentioned, it was a road trip. About two hours after beginning the initial leg of our journey, we
thought it best to patronize a state of Connecticut visitor welcome center rest area on interstate 84. While I was in the
lavatory, some woman hollered in asking if there was anyone inside and then she babbled something about turning off
the water. I heard a guy in stall one utter something, apparently to no avail. For whatever reason (more budget cuts?),
somebody turned off the water in both bathrooms, while that guy was still sitting on the throne! That left just one
porta potty outhouse for all the people to use. My guess is it didn't take long at all before things got real ugly.

After we saw the rainbow, I intuitively knew that a blog entry would likely result from our trek, but at the time had
no idea the content would be quite so extensive, as those are just some of the notable things which could be said
of our odyssey this past weekend.

Cash for Clunkers Addendum
There is a point regarding the Cash for Clunkers post of this blog which requires clarification.

While it may be true that the program is intended to benefit consumers and reduce dealer inventories, anybody who
knows anything about how car dealers operate, understands car dealers will raise the prices of the vehicles they sell
in addition to whatever other slight of hand tricks they typically perform when selling an automobile. So much so that
of the up to $4500 of rebate money for each vehicle, the buyer will realize little or no actual cash benefit at all from
the government rebate. The deals will be structured so that the car dealer will get most, if not all of the rebate money.
Why? Because, right or wrong, that is just way it is.

08-21-2009
...And don't even get me started on the government sponsored Cash For Clunkers program (it would have been
more accurate to name the program Deals for Dunces). Once this blog hears of such a program, two substantial
aspects regarding the program, can be identified before the first cash for clunker deal is even signed...once again
an interest group other than the individual taxpayer is getting a financial bailout; car dealers are going take their cut,
their piece of the action.

And now that the program has aided dealerships in selling a great many cars, they are whining because they have
not gotten their government handout yet. To that this blog says, "Boo Hoo". It may take some time but car dealers
will get their fair share of that big pile of money which, strangely enough...doesn't...even...exist.

Cash for clunkers is just another smoke and mirrors shell game.

At number of locations in this county, there is infrastructure work in progress (primarily road improvements and road
resurfacing). At each site there is a sign:  Project Funded By The  American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
At the time I was not sure what that was. As it turns out, The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, is the given
name of the economic stimulus package enacted by the 111th United States Congress in February 2009.

One would expect that if I ever did hear the given name of the economic stimulus package back in February of 2009,
it was drummed out of my head due to hearing too many repetitions of the term economic stimulus package.

All things being equal, this blog is astonished to actually be seeing results from that stimulus money being put to use in a
tangible and constructive fashion, even if the jobs are only temporary...took them barely a week to put a finish coat of
asphalt pavement on six miles of road. Also, one must wonder how much stimulus money was spent just on those signs.

A couple of side notes, the State and local municipality, should have been ashamed to have allowed the road to decay to
such a dilapidated condition. There are dirt roads in the local area which are in better condition than that heavily traveled
stretch of a pothole strewn Broadway (route 28 in Salem, NH) prior to it being repaired.

Also, a true dyed in the wool 'conspiracy nut' would assert that, the roads are being improved for the day when, for whatever
reason, under the guise of some United Nations banner, foreign troops are deployed on U.S. soil  (presumably for what will
be some alleged humanitarian purpose). Of course such ideas are complete nonsense. Any damn fool knows that when the
foreign troops do come, they will do so no matter what condition the roads are in.

Seeing as how the linked essay in the Lady Gaga post of this blog, discusses certain elements of mind control, today this blog
will devote a cursory entry to the topic of mind control. Readers of this blog may recall the days when it was quite common
to see Hari Chrishnas at the airport. As a child, through the influence of elders and mass media, it was my impression that
those folks were brainwashed dolts. Today that opinion has expanded to include the term 'mind control victims'.

It was more than half my lifetime ago when in a public place, an acquaintance and I were approached by a lone Moonie.
Looking at this dude as he spoke, never before or since has this writer seen a person with such a vacant look in their eyes.
This young man's psyche had clearly been altered by methods not as yet disclosed to me. Although the term brainwashing
has become somewhat antiquated, is was rather obvious he had had first hand experience with some type of mind control.

Remaining on topic, a number movie and television drama depictions of mind control scenarios come to mind. Two episodes
of Star Trek: The Next Generation, one episode the victim was being mind controlled as a form of interrogation, in the other
the victim was conditioned as an spy and assassin. Perhaps the most poignant cinematic depiction of mind control, is the 1962
John Frankenheimer film, The Manchurian Candidate.

In the movie, the mind control victim (Mr. Shaw), after being sufficiently conditioned (programed), is sent back into society
with no clue what has been done to him. To activate his programming, one of his handlers would ring him on the telephone
and when he answered he would be instructed (with an ordinary deck of playing cards) to play a game of solitaire. Once he
began to play, he would continue until he saw the queen of diamonds, which was the trigger that activated his programming,
turning him into a totally compliant zombie and a robotic assassin.

Such media depictions are fiction, but one must ask, to what level is art imitating life? If a person like Charles Manson can
mind control a group of impressionable young people with some LSD and some streetwise mind manipulation techniques,
what could a group of amoral psychiatrists achieve in the mind control arena, with the proper mandate, while working for
some compartmentalized government intelligence agency with unlimited black budget research funding?

Would you like to play a game of solitare Mister Shaw.

There is a relatively new pop music vocalist out there, which the first time this writer had ever heard of and been exposed to
(just by flipping through the television channels), as God is my witness, I thought it was a joke (some kind of spoof parody
performer similar to Weird Al Yankovic). This writer was mistaken as she is not a joke. Lady Gaga is the latest made for
public consumption prefab pop star, unleashed upon America's callow, malleable youth.

This blog immediately recognized that something was not right with this performer, although at the time, could not specify
precisely what that something was. A writer at the Vigilant Citizen.com website summarizes in considerable detail, what
it is about Lady Gaga that threw up a warning flag for me (and it ain't good).   Lady Gaga, The Illuminati Puppet

It seems people at these so called healthcare reform town hall meetings, are at times, getting very angry and upset.

From what little coverage this writer has seen of the goings on at these 'town hall meetings', it is the interpretation
of this blog that if people arrive at one of those meetings in a agitated state, their agitation is increased exponentially,
once they hear the doublespeak gibberish the Party Member tries to pass off as a response to a very direct question.

For example, if Senator Specter's statements at recent 'town hall meeting' in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, (his words
drew several unmistakable, resounding choruses of boos from the working class people in attendance) are indicative
and typical of statements made by other members of Congress at other such gatherings, they should consider themselves
fortunate have gotten out of Dodge in one piece.

If one were to accept the premises that knowledge is power and ignorance is bliss, one can then begin to understand
the anger of working class folk manifesting at the healthcare reform 'town hall meetings'.

The folks at these open forums, are informed and the knowledge they have obtained, in some cases has generated
concern and exacerbated already existing frustration. To that equation add a thoughtful person being confronted with
a measure of elected official arrogance i.e. the "you don't understand" mentality of Party Members in general.

The resulting eruptions of bitterness are something which is not at all surprising.

are starting to wake up and be heard (instead of being herded)...The Health Care Debate Has Only Just Begun

it will intensify so much so, that it will obfuscate and obliterate any and all meaningful debate, leaving only noise.

Perusing the internet, anyone can find a considerable number of so called conspiracy theories, some crackpot and
half baked, others less so. This blog entry will focus on just one. A future with civilian interment camps in America.

Been reading about this stuff on the web for years now. Some websites go so far as to provide photographs of what
appear to be defunct military bases which have been converted for future use as civilian interment camps. Any person
which has been properly conditioned by years of societal indoctrination, into non thinking automaton like patterns of
thought, quickly and easily dismisses the possibility of such concepts being true.

Such concepts do become questionable when people advance such theories and for evidence, show pictures of enclosed
automobile transport railroad train cars, and claim they are to transport people like cattle, to these interment camps.

As far as this writer in concerned, verifiable proof that such camps are currently being set up in the U.S., has been lacking,
until now...If the Army National Guard is actively recruiting on the largest job search site on the internet (Monster.com),
for: Job Title: Corrections Officer - Internment/Resettlement Specialist, where exactly is it going to be that these Army
National Guard "Internment/Resettlement Specialists" are going to be employed? Not at the local Walmart!

Why the federal government would create civilian "Internment/Resettlement" camps here in the United States is unclear.
Can't happen here you say? Think again folks. It can happen anytime anywhere. There is indeed historical precedent
for civilian interment camps  here in the U.S. of  A...and looks like there will be again. The land of the free and the
home of the brave may well become the land of the interned (oppressed) and the home of the resettled. One is reminded
of a scene from the movie Red Dawn  where a group of men interned in a similar camp, spontaneously commence to
sing The Star Spangled Banner...

Everybody sing...  God Bless America, Land That I Love...

Joan of Arc capable of leading the middle class in a counter-offensive against them.
Elitists were alert to Palin's rise and prompt to act against her.

This should not be surprising. Elitists know the middle class is their historical
adversary and regard the middle class with disdain and enmity. Eltists know
the middle class is their historical adversary

Those words to this writer, present affirmation of what this blog almost immediately recognized Sarah Palin to be.
A potential giant killer and, as stated previously in this blog, in her "they see the significant potential to severely
disrupt the status quo...business as usual in the nation's capital."

It was on this day forty years ago (or so they say), when two Apollo 11 astronauts landed and walked on Terra Luna.
An appropriate time to revisit NASA's most recent Moon shot, the LCROSS Mission

First let me take a moment to revisit faked moon landing theory. While some faked moon landing theorists present
what seems to be compelling evidence, testing the veracity of that evidence presents a problem. As far as this writer
is concerned, the only way to truly verify the so called evidence, is to go back to the year 1969 and review all of the
live television coverage of the Apollo 11 Moon landing (simply not a feasible task). Because that is not going happen,
faked moon landing theory will always be just that, theory. Furthermore...

The other day tuned in on the radio just in time to hear broadcast of the BBC. They produce a half hour show which
focuses on arts and entertainment called The Strand. This particular show featured an interview with artist, Apollo 12
astronaut and the fourth man to walk on the moon, Alan Bean. In the interview, Bean talks about being on the Moon.
And this from Britain:  A Quarter of Britons Believe the Apollo 11 Mission Moon Landings in 1969 Were a Hoax.
Its just a thought but, which faked moon landing believer is gonna tell Mr. Alan Bean he did not go to the Moon?

Before I get to the point of this blog entry, there are two facts about the moon to review, either of which is noticeable
as well as remarkable. Although in the past this blog has used the expression, there really is no dark side of the moon.
With my at best rudimentary understanding of  celestial mechanics, this writer will attempt to clarify.

Without explanation as to why, it seems odd that when viewing the Moon from Earth, we only ever see one side
of the Moon and its always the same side (with explanation it still seems...odd). The explanation is simple enough.
The same side is always seen from Earth because the duration of the Moon's axial rotation is equal to the duration
of its orbital revolution (a lunar day is the same amount of time as a lunar year, 28 Earth days).

The second remarkable fact about the moon is the size of the Moon relative to its distance from the Earth. The effect
of that ratio can seem from somewhere on Earth every time there is a total solar eclipse. Given the vastness of space,
that these two conditions exist simultaneously, seems to stretch the limits of statistical random probability.

That the Moon is precisely positioned in Earth orbit so as to be just large enough to block out the Sun when all
three align on the same plane as viewed from Earth, is perhaps a quirk of celestial mechanics. However regarded,
the Moon's 1:1 rotation to revolution ratio, in combination with the total solar eclipse effect, gives the appearance
of orchestration (if not by God, then by others).

Yet again I digress. Time to explore some new crack pot theory about the true nature of the LCROSS Mission.

Recently enough, on an extensively syndicated radio talk show, there was a guest who introduced the idea that
perhaps the actual purpose of bombing the Moon, would be to disguise by destroying, some kind of an ongoing
operation (mining was suggested) they have had there going for some years now. Why they should feel the need
to take such rash action, is in the context of nations such as India, China and Russia, each announcing plans for
some type of lunar excursion. Through the destruction of the base of operations or outpost they have there,
plausible deniability of their former presence would be established.

And what of the plausibility of ideas which so radically depart from conventional wisdom?
Truth is often stranger that fiction.

What ever else is true and factual, it has been 40 years and for those people still waiting for
the second small step and the second giant leap, don't hold your breath, it just ain't gonna happen.

Once again yet another nominee for a seat on the Supreme Judicial Court of the United States of America,
has to face a tribunal of partisan United States Senators (and oh what a pleasure that must be).

Over the years, some of the names and faces on these tribunals change, but the general pattern of the proceedings
remains predictably consistent. The behavior of many the hearing committee members, whether they be pro-nominee
or anti-nominee, is quite often (for lack of a better word) loathsome. Any prospective SJC nominee who desires to
obtain the position for which they have been selected, essentially must prostrate themselves in front of the tribunal.

This blog can accept such hearings are necessary as part of the democratic process...primary objection is the repellent
nature of how committee members often turn such hearings into prolonged spectacles of badgering, self-indulgent tripe.

From the Reagan years to this very day, it makes me cringe, the gauntlet of idiocy these nominees have all had to endure
to become Supreme Court Justices. All except Robert Bork. At first he endeavored to persevere but ultimately he was
ridden out of town on a rail (those buffoons gave him the full treatment until he went away). All things considered its
surprising that he was not tarred and feathered as well.

Even more surprising is this writer has actually seen a person be tarred (with molasses) and feathered. The year was
1976, in the town where I grew up, as part of the Bicentennial celebration, someone got the bright idea to schedule
an exhibition which would feature a person being tarred, feathered and then paraded right through the center of town.
And thats exactly what happened. The event was said to have been a re-enactment of an incident involving a local man
that took place in colonial times, which its claimed was the inspiration for an early version of the song Yankee Doodle.

The so called world community continues to appear somewhat adamant about their (collective) desire to restore
the deposed Honduran president, Manuel Zelaya, as the president of Honduras (Viva el Presidentè).

As this blog sees it, broken down into simplest terms, what we are seeing is nothing less than a pitched battle
between Honduran national sovereignty and New World Order Globalism. Meanwhile, the common folk who
support the outsted Zelaya, are protesting in the streets...seemingly completely oblivious that Honduran national
sovereignty is at risk of perishing.

Honduras is small nation, what some would call a  banana republic, thus we can look at this as perhaps a test case.
If Honduran national sovereignty falls victim to NWO Globalism, it pushes all nations one step further down the road
toward a dystopian system of forced global governance.

Addendum: Two days after this entry was posted, Reuters published an article which provides what this blog considers
to be about as 'fair and balanced' an analysis of the political situation in Honduras as we will see from the mass media:

Q+A: The dispute that led to a coup in Honduras

This blog was going to wait until Sarah Palin had nearly completely fallen from the national political radar screen,
but in the wake of her recent announcement, now is as good a time as any for this blog entry.

As a vice presidential candidate, Sarah Palin was on the receiving end of the most intense barrage of attacks this
writer has ever seen a unleashed upon a candidate for political office. Ever! Those who spewed forth a torrent
of vitriolic hatred, basically fall into two camps:

The first camp breaks down into two subgroups. 1) The folks that hate her for no other reason than the fact
she is not a knee jerk liberal pinko commie sympathizer such as themselves. 2) The other subgroup, detest
Governor Palin because within her, they see the significant potential to severely disrupt the status quo...
business as usual in the nation's capital would have been at risk of being abruptly and substantially altered.

The second camp are the lackeys of the NWO, international bankers, global criminal cabal, powers that be...
what ever you want to call them, the people who run the world. Their motivation to take down Sarah Palin
is not so clear. If their motivation is not the same as the 2nd subgroup, then what was/is their angle?

On an internet message board, somebody hypothesized that perhaps the attacks directed at Sarah Palin,
were not about Sarah Palin, they were about the Governor of Alaska (who ever it was). Could it be that
the Governor (soon to be former) possesses some knowledge which the general public does not?

Or was it all just about intolerance and hate?

07-05-2009
It is an uncommon thing for a politician to willingly give up power without the benefit of old age or the inducement
of some scandal or criminal charges. Yet Sarah Palin has publicly communicated that it is her intent to step down
as Governor of the great state of Alaska at the end of this month. A move this blog did not see coming.

With the exception of the breaking news report of the announcement of her intent to step down as governor, this
writer has attempted to avoid exposure to any further mass media coverage of the story. The follow up coverage
which will be coming from the talking heads and twinkie reporters, as this blog sees it, will be nothing more than
insignificant drivel interspersed with meaningless blather followed by asinine speculation.

Sarah Palin has made a decision which is either an understandable personal choice, a calculated political move, or both.
One has to wonder at the timing of her announcement. One day before Independence Day, is not likely to be random.

07-04-2009
Today here in the United States of America it is Independence Day, an apropos day which to comment on events taking
place recently in the nation of Honduras. In short, the mass media has been reporting that the President of the nation of
Honduras was removed from power by a bloodless military coup.

Mass media coverage of that event and those in the days following, has provided only part of the information required to
establish an informed opinion on the coup and the removal from power of Manuel Zelaya. Media coverage has been
quite clear on the fact of the coup but has made little or no mention of the full reason for the military overthrow of the
President. A Reuters story reported the military "threw him out of the country after he upset the army by trying to win
re-election". More likely he was thrown out because of how he was trying to win re-election. Quotes from another blog:

President Zalaya took a page from the play book of Hugo Chavez and tried
to ram through a referendum that would allow him to stay in power for life

the entire world seems to be arrayed against the Honduran congress who followed
their constitution and ousted a president who was acting against the law of the land.

This brief video news report from Reuters, provides a more comprehensive explanation for the military (who in the spirit
of today, responded patriotically) action which removed el Presidentè Zelaya from power, exiling him from the country.

Another news report from the UK Telegraph quotes an advisor to the new Honduran President, "The world should be
clear that Zelaya was legally removed and Micheletti became president in constitutional circumstances
'. The story
goes on to say, "The Sunday Telegraph has seen the Supreme Court order to the military to arrest Mr Zelaya...".

We need not look for examples of backwardness. Tune in to mass media and there they are, and they just keep coming.

So the Honduran Supreme Court issued an arrest order and the army followed through on it. While it does appear that in
ejecting Zelaya from the country, the army exceeded the mandate of the court order, the arrest of the Honduran president
has been misrepresented by the mass media as a military coup. Therefore, coverage of recent events in Honduras is at best,
yet another example of poor journalism and at worst an intentional distortion of the facts and the essence of the situation.
Thus the conclusion of this blog is that former President Zelaya is in favor with the criminal cabal that runs the world.

If in the future (or the past) here in the U.S., a circumstance similar to that of Honduras developed, in which constitutional
requirement necessitated high ranking military officers to engage in a similar legal action, the outcome would be different.
Those warriors on the side of light, would likely be swiftly and permanently neutralized by the forces of darkness.

Conversely, when an American President falls out of favor with the so called global cabal, they are politically or physically
terminated. Two such American Presidents were Richard Nixon and John Kennedy.

The first thoughts of this blog upon hearing reports of the death of "the gloved one", was that it was untrue and that we
were all being scammed, again. After dismissing such thoughts and viewing the reports in the most simple of terms, the
conclusion arrived at was; Oh. Yet another dead celebrity. Nothing more and nothing less (recent others include but
are not limited to, Farrah Fawcett, Ed McMann and Karl Malden).

That some people would react in ways discussed in the linked news reports (below), is indeed a dismal and disturbing
commentary on the influence pop culture (and some of its icons) can and does have on some members of society.

Something so irrelevant in the context of the larger pictures of their miserable individual lives and that of the society as
a whole, is just another triviality distracting the general population from other, far more relevant and impactful goings on.

In a ruling on a reverse discrimination case (discrimination, it being reverse, forward, sideways or any other type is still
discrimination and thus is wrong) the Supreme Judicial Court of the United States today overturned a decision "endorsed"
by Supreme Court nominee Judge Sonia Sotomayor.

In a dissenting opinion Justice Ginsburg said the litigants "had no vested right to promotion." Such thought clearly implies
in her considered (legal?) opinion, the city of New Haven has the right to discriminate against whom ever they so choose.

More to the point, common sense indicates that Judge Sotomayor's ability to serve effectively, on the nation's highest court,
may now be legitimately questioned. From the mass media coverage, it can be deciphered that the judge's decisions are
affected by thought patterns which are narrowly limited in interest, purpose and scope.

Will she be  Borked? Not likely although perhaps she should be. No one (who expects affirmation) can tell me that by
her nomination for a seat on the Supreme Judicial Court, she is the most intellectually and judicially qualified person to
replace Justice Souter. Nonethless one can expect she will be confirmed despite the misgivings regarding her nomination.

The Constitution of the United States  - Amendment 2 - Right to Bear Arms:

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State,
the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

Gun rights advocates have been warning Americans for years now, that someday the government is going to initiate action
with the intent of confiscating all privately owned guns (pistols, rifles, shot guns etc.) possessed by the citizens of this great
nation. That day is drawing disturbingly closer. For this writer, common sense has always affirmed that the idea of
such action being perpetrated by the government, is inevitable.

Other than an incremental process, what has always been unclear to this writer about gun confiscation, is the method
which would be utilized. That has now become more clear. All gun owners will be required to obtain a license to legally
own a gun of any kind. Any person who is not compliant, would be committing a felony.

When a compliant person goes to renew that license (Black's Law Dictionary defines license as a permit to doing something
which is otherwise illegal) they will then be denied and will have to surrender their guns. Even worse, a person wanting to be
compliant, goes to apply for a permit for the firearms they have owned for decades and is then denied a permit. Now that
the authorities are aware you own guns and, since you have not been granted an ownership permit, you are in violation of
the law and if you do not turn in your guns, they will legally come and take those guns as well as charge you with a felony.

An insidiously incremental method of firearms confiscation.

The bill has been introduced in the United States House of Representatives. It is House Resolution 45, called the
Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sale Act of 2009. The text of the resolution can be found on the
Library of Congress web site.

If a person were to read the entire content of this blog, one could get the impression that this writer subscribes to
every (half baked crackpot) conspiracy theory out there. To think that true would be presumptuous and incorrect.
This blog entry illustrates that point while also remaining on topic with yesterday's blog entry

Perhaps in the past you have heard of the faked moon landing conspiracy theory. There are several variations of the theory,
one claims NASA astronauts never set foot on the moon (a theory this writer does not accept). Another theory postulates
that while NASA astronauts did indeed set foot on the moon, the video footage shown to the public of the moon landings
was faked on a movie studio sound stage, which would be consistent with the desire of NASA not to reveal the existence
of lunar artifacts which would definitively show there was lunar occupation in the distant past.

When proponents of the faked moon landing theory discuss their related ideas, rarely if ever, do they point to the fact that
for the hypothesis to be accurate, there would had to have been no less than six hoaxed moon landings.

Exploring the origins of the faked moon landing theory reveals perhaps one of the most illustrative examples of backwardness
imaginable. A physicist who at the time of the Apollo 11 mission, was at Mission Control as a CBS News correspondent,
has made the claim that faked moon landing theory was first disseminated by somebody at NASA on the same day the
Apollo 11 astronauts first set foot on the moon. Imagine that. In the view of this blog, textbook  Backwardness.

Recently, my timing was such that I was able (through the wonder of television) to see the real time launch of a rocket from
the Kennedy Space Center by NASA. The guy on tv said it was the  LCROSS Mission.  The rocket's payload is going to
Terra Luna. Apparently as part of the mission,  NASA is going to bomb the moon.

Why would NASA so blatantly disregard the fact that such an act would be a violation of existing treaties regarding space?
If one were to conjecture an ulterior motive to the mission (backwardness theory applies here), the obvious question is; Is
there some known or perceived lunar based threat which we (the general population) know nothing about? Is it the intent
of NASA (and by extension, we puny humans) to send a message to the others that are there, or worse to strike at them?

For many years this writer has read of and seen in various science fiction tv and movies, depictions of the concept there is
and/or has been Lunar ET/UFO civilizations (this blog does not have make this stuff up as there are plenty of other folks to
do that). Of course the current paradigm of western civilization predicates that there is nobody else on the moon and that
there never has been. NASA moon bombing violates space law & may cause conflict with lunar ET/UFO civilizations.

This writer does not definitively know whether or not there are 'others' on the moon but if there is, its not unreasonable
to expect that they are going to get a bit riled up when NASA's "kinetic weapon" impacts the lunar surface. And if there
are aliens on the moon, any person who thinks that such information would be disclosed the general public, is mistaken.

As a society, we have been lied to about nearly everything imaginable. Space exploration is no exception.

On all levels, the intentional fabrication or misrepresentation of information, is an act of deceit and to the application
of that deceit, there may be no limit. Any information perpetuated with the intent to mislead, is something of which the
consequences can only have a negative outcome.

There are two narratives this writer finds most interesting, one is a so called conspiracy theory, the other
an outright claim, both of which address the issue of possible (current) non terrestrial lunar occupation.

The first involves the Apollo 11 mission and the often the long pauses (noted by many) between the audio communication
transmissions of the Apollo 11 command module and Mission Control in Houston. Essentially the theory claims the pauses
are the ship to shore radio transmissions which the public was prevented from hearing. It is claimed the Apollo 11 astronauts
observed something on the moon which was of apparent non terrestrial origin. At least some portion of the blacked out ship
to shore radio transmissions, was a conversation in which the Apollo 11 astronauts were relaying their observation back to
Mission Control. That would explain the communication pauses but still, its just a theory, of which, any supporting evidence
seems to be lacking or nonexistent.

The second is an amazing story told by an individual known as Ingo Swann. If the information he provides in his book
Penetration, is accurate, then at the very least, there were (in contemporary times) others on (the dark side of) the moon.
Others, who according to conventional wisdom, did not belong there. His story is unlike any I have ever heard or read.
The book is now out of print. However some  used copies are for sale on Amazon.com. Prices start at 400 Dollars.

But I digress. So NASA (Never A Straight Answer), is going to bomb the moon...isn't that just peachy.
One has to wonder who the rocket scientist was that came up with that idea.

Then there is the issue of health care reform which is being proposed by the current Presidential Administration.
Nothing in this blog entry will discuss the political aspects (the motivations for and desired outcome of) government
sponsored health care reform. To properly articulate such a discussion would exceed my training and insights.

As history (and common sense) have repeatedly shown, any thing the government becomes involved with, while giving
the appearance of improving the lives of some individuals, the reality is that typically, government programs turn out to be
an unmitigated disaster for the nation as a whole. If the country is not yet bankrupt, after a few years of federally run
government sponsored health care reform, it will be (when that happens who will pay? The taxpayers of course).

The way this blog understands it, the federally funded Medicare and Medicaid systems are rife with fraud at a cost which
reaches $10s of billions a year. Thus, it would stupid not to think that, the more people which are covered by government
funded health insurance the more fraud there will be.

Another issue...I know a person who pays completely out of his own pocket for health insurance for himself, his wife and
and his child. That costs him in excess of $12,000 a year not including deductibles and copays. For a person like that, if
a government program becomes available which will reduced his out of pocket expense, what is the motivation for him to
continue paying a corporation for health insurance?

His cost savings would be simply be shifted to taxpayers, of which he is most certainly one. Thus there is the potential
(likely a certainty), that him switching from private to federal health insurance coverage, while reducing his initial out of
pocket expense, in the long term, would cost him more due to the increased taxation which will be required to fund
the government run health insurance program.

A few weeks ago some guy on the radio (Howie Carr, pronounced Kah), quoted someone else who said:

"If you think health care is expensive now, wait until its free."

AP Interview: Kids may get swine flu shots first

WASHINGTON (AP) Schoolchildren could be first in line for swine flu vaccine this fall
and schools are being put on notice that they might even be turned into shot clinics.

The scenario described above, is a reality of which this writer most certainly does have a personal point of reference.

We were in the sixth or seventh grade of public primary school when one day we were all herded from classrooms into
the gymnasium for a mass vaccination (I seem to recall they were giving us a combination of vaccinations which included
Whooping Cough, Rubella). Prior to that event, we had all been sent home from school with and subsequently returned
to school with, consent forms signed by our parents. A process which at the time was not unfamiliar to me having been
guided in the same way to a mass polio vaccination, also while attending public school.

First a mass vaccination program for the children then a mandatory program for everyone else?
Vaccination for swine flu which will essentially be experimental....Let the buyer beware.

For a number of years now, there are people which have been been derided by talking heads on the cable news
channels as well as the internet and other mass media sources. Their critics deridingly refer to them as 9-11 truthers.

Any time this writer hears some criticism (generally, ad hominem attacks) of these folks, I am always left wondering
if there is something wrong with seeking and or exposing truth. It has become quite obvious (by excessive repetition)
that the revelation of truth can be very upsetting to individuals, when the truth directly conflicts with their existing
internal belief structure (and with the resulting disruption of their paradigm).

So then what of 9-11 truthers? Have the American people been told ALL the truth regarding the events and aftermath
of September 11, 2001? Really, that is about as stupid a question as you will ever see asked in this blog. Historical
precedent has repeatedly demonstrated (much to my dismay) that the words truth and government, in the context
of the United States federal system, having nothing in common whatsoever.

And about 9-11 and truth...as far as this writer can find, no coherent official explanation has been provided which
would identify the cause of the destruction documented in these photographs. Truth is a rare and precious commodity
these days and it is to the detriment of all of the American people that that condition continues to exist as a reality of
the American way of life.

There are things which most people (including myself) dismiss (in our arrogance) as nonsense, based solely on our own
common sense and the trappings of conventional wisdom. However (ok here it comes), something being predicated by
conventional wisdom and common sense, by no means quantifies such assessments as being accurate or correct.

That and the next point are crucial in understanding what is being written on the topic of this blog entry...
The so called  Alien Abduction phenomenon  and a cursory mention of the peripheral  issue of UFOs

There is one point common to both the UFO issue and the alien abduction phenomenon, which needs to be articulated
so that those who read this blog entry, understand it. As a general rule, people (typically everyone) mechanically assume
that alien translates as extraterrestrial, meaning, of an off Earth origin (I suspect conventional wisdom has conditioned us
into that thought pattern). Even if correct, any kind of assumption regarding point of origin of something which is uniquely
unidentifiable, defies common sense (and logic). Simply put, alien (thus unknown) to our 'global village' civilization,
does not  irrefutably or necessarily indicate an off world (extraterrestrial) point of origin. Capiche?

Regarding the topic of the abduction phenomenon, like most people, this writer has no personal point of reference from
which to speak. One need not have experience with the phenomenon to be able to discern and point out what may be a
few on topic self evident truths.

When considering that graphical depictions of UFOs go back at least as far as stone age cave paintings, this writer would
not know where to begin rambling on the topic of UFOs, however, where the discussion of the alien abduction topic begins
is quite clear...The first documented contemporary account, allegation, claim, incident, narrative or report of alien abduction,
is that of  Betty and Barney Hill  in September of 1961 (the 1950's George Adamski contactee types notwithstanding).

Regarding any number of subjects, people are often heard to say, "there is no evidence to support that claim". While
the statement is accurate, conversely, rarely is anyone heard to say that which is equally accurate, there is no evidence to
refute the claim or assertion either. Neither point of fact resolves any of the related questions nor provides any answers.

The Alien Abduction phenomenon is a mystery to which all the facts have not yet been revealed. Seems to this blog that
there are three possible sources (for lack of a better word) which are most likely to be responsible for the experiences
people are having which they and others characterize as alien abduction.

  1. Biological or artificial life forms which are alien to our civilization are abducting and returning people
  2. A potentially identifiable psychological condition, neurosis or syndrome existing solely in people's minds
  3. A group or system which exists within and is part of our civilization is abducting and returning people

In conclusion, does this writer know any more than the average person about what the source of alien abduction is?
Probably not. Like most other people all this blog can do is speculate and hypothesize. But this writer does attempt
to do so free of institutionalized and self imposed preconceptions. Can you as a reader, make a that same claim?

There are several footnotes on the topic, which are worthy of mention. The most prominent of the alien abduction phenom
researchers was Dr. John Mack, Harvard University School of Medicine Professor and psychiatrist. Dr. Mack was killed
in a street accident in London in 1994. Was Dr. Mack getting to close to the truth? Or was Dr. Mack's prominence drawing
to much attention to the topic and did some terrestrial group feel threatened by that? "Mack initially suspected that" so called
abductees "were suffering from mental illness, but when no obvious pathologies were present in the persons he interviewed,
Mack's interest" in the phenomenon increased and he became the most well known researcher of the subject.

Another side note which represents an odd coincidence, is that at the time of the Hill abduction, there was another couple
named Betty and Barney that Americans were quite familiar with, Betty and Barney Rubble of The Flintstones fame. While
it is fact that The Flintstones tv show (debut in 1960) preceded the Hill's abduction (1961), it is still an odd coincidence.
Additionally, subsequent to the Hill abduction, an episode of The Flintstones tv show did indeed feature the abduction and
return of Fred by extraterrestrials (1963). This writer has to ask, was that episode inspired by the Hill case?

So the Senate (and likely soon the House of Reps. as well), in its infinite wisdom, has granted the FDA (Food and Drug
Administration) the authority to regulate the ingredients in tobacco products. Typically before the FDA were to initiate
any regulatory action regarding tobacco products, one could expect that there would be five years of studies followed by
several years of review after having spent millions of dollars, before the FDA would choose whether or not to exercise
their regulatory authority on any given matter in front of them.

To have such a similar expectation of the FDA with respect to this new found "power to regulate tobacco products"
would at best, be naive. A more pragmatic expectation would be that anti smoking zealots everywhere are rejoicing
over the prospects of the additional regulatory authority over cigarettes created by the new legislation.

Recently enough, there have been reports of an American actor being found dead, hanging in the closet of a hotel room
in Thailand, bound in various ways with rope, including having his hands tied behind his back. The folks generating those
news reports, seem content to speculate that the actor died an accidental death related to some type of autoerotic act.

If said reports are accurate, specifically the reports of his hands being tied behind his back, then for obvious reasons,
by definition it was not an autoerotic act. From there a person can then assume that at least one if not both of the
following is also likely accurate; Poor Journalism and/or a blatant indication of backwardness.

This writer can only sit and wonder what the rest of the story is. Was 'Grasshopper' exterminated like an insect?

Over the years there have been any number of commercial airplane crashes (from a number of different causes)
some of which, even after an official explanation is given, still seem to leave a person curious as to what really
happened. Any time a commercial airliner crashes or disappears under mysterious circumstances, the second
question which should be asked is, who were the passengers on that plane.

Examples? Congressman Larry McDonald was on KAL 007 which was shot down by Russian MIGs. Then there is
the Egypt Air flight 990 and the still controversial TWA flight 800. The Air France Concorde SST (only ever to crash)
which crashed outside Paris. Funny thing about that was a news story I saw on tv the day before, which discussed
British Airways SSTs (the only other airline to fly SST jets). Crashes of smaller planes which had high profile passengers
onboard are even more numerous...JFK Jr., Senator Wellstone of Minnesota, governor Carnahan of Missouri and in my
mind one of the most bizzare, Senator John Tower (they say a propeller came of his plane during flight), just to name a few.

Such is the case with Air France flight 447. First the plane disappears, then wreckage is found, then the wreckage
found is not from 447, then days later wreckage and bodies are found floating in the Atlantic ocean. Certainly is
a rather odd sequence of events, which raises suspicion as to the true nature of the cause of the loss of the airliner.

So, who were some of the passengers on that plane?

The swine flu scare of 2009 or at the very least, the hype related to it, is abating. This conclusion is arrived at by
using the number of links returned by specific query parameters entered into the  Google News search website.

Today using the search term, swine flu June 05 returned this: Results 1 − 8 of about 14 for swine flu June−05.
The same search for swine flu May 21 yielded: Results 1 − 10 of about 717 for swine flu May−21.

Strangely enough the same search today, for swine flu May 05 yielded nothing. This writer can assure you when
I entered that same query for May 5th on that same day, many dozens of links were returned. Seems rather odd that
a month later, the same search yields a null result.

Google employees have in the past, been known to tinker with the search results returned to specific query terms.

As this writer understands it, contemporary fundamentalist Christian teachings indicate a popular world leader is going
to emerge and that that same individual will be or become the Antichrist (what I believe matters not, other people will
think in accordance only with what they believe). This writer has heard at least one person express the idea that the
current President maybe that person. Don't know if that is so but the headline below indicates that there are those
who will now look elsewhere for the emergence of that world leader.

We Wanted a World Leader. We Saw Only a US President

Over the years we have all heard of things done by government and agents of the government which defy logic
and offend the sensibilities of those of us who prefer that government officials and minions act in the best interests
of national security and thus of we the people. With that said, this blog speculates there are activists and infiltrators
in such positions who do not share those same values. Posted a government website in error...Ear ache my eye!

To arrive a someone's home on Good Friday, to inform them they are in violation of some municipal ordinance
regarding religious assembly, is just plain crass. Assuming the Herbert  knew it was a day of religious observance,
one can imagine an individual with selfish bad intent, resulting from a power struggle existing only in their own mind.

Saw it on FoxNews this morning, it was just a "breaking news" banner headline across the bottom of
the tv screen, words which essentially read, tests unable to determine if North Korean test was nuclear.

Assuming a person was gullible enough to believe that, my first though would be, you mean to tell me that
with all the sophisticated apparatus in place around the world and in orbit, technology which we are told,
can pinpoint a missile launch any where on the planet by detecting its plume as it leaves the launch pad,
with all that, a precise determination can not be made of whether or not N.K. detonated a nuclear device?

That concept stretches the limits of imagination, and if true, simply does not inspire confidence of any form,
regarding related nuclear warning detection systems.

There was an editorial type news report posted on the web today with a curious headline, which in part, seems to dispute a
story in the "print edition of Newsweek magazine for May 18, 2009" (Newsweek being a high profile, corporate owned
mainstream media publication). Besides the obvious (some twinkie writer at Newsweek with a bias against Wisconsin,
jumping onto the swine flu scare band wagon) this writer does not really know how exactly to interpret either of the essays
but given this odd headline, it is on topic and thus blog worthy:    Is Wisconsin the Source of H1N1 Swine Flu?

One possible interpretation is that the Newsweek essay, is the first mainstream indication that the real killer virus is going
to be a lethal recombination of the H1N1 (swine flu) and H5N1 (bird flu) strains, resulting in a new mutation of the flu virus.

Has the 'writing on the wall' has become more legible? Have we been given a timely albeit worthless heads up?

There are likely not very many people on the planet, which would understand the following quote (and its context):
"You can pull the bale, you can remove the bale, but you can't change the bale (it has to want to change).

The point is two fold. The first point is a dig at those intellectually challenged individuals who, in the past have been
repeatedly heard to ask, "Are you going to change the bale? (see prior paragraph).

The bale changing reference may foreign to readers of this blog, but the concept helps illustrates a universal truth.
To many people go through life on autopilot, not giving any meaningful thought to what they are doing, and often,
what exactly it is they are asking or saying. Too many have no desire to alter that function of their petty existence.

There are things which we humans are simply not constructed to understand, yet science goes to great lengths to try
and explain such things and convince us (with their arrogance) of the truth of their convictions. The resulting theories
often provide illustrative examples of backwardness theory.

For example, take the science of  cosmology. Back in grade school, we were taught that the universe is infinite.
Then somebody got the idea that the age of the universe could be estimated by measuring the distance to the
furthest visible object. Once that was complete, we were then told that the universe is 13 to 16 billion years old.

For quite some time, this writer has been unable to reconcile the inconsistency which causes those two teachings
to be in conflict. In grade school we were also taught that infinite was defined as that which has no beginning and
no end. So you see my problem? How can something which has no beginning, be measured? The big bang theory,
by implication, dictates the universe must have a center and therefor a begining. If the the universe is infinite then
it can have no starting point and thus can not be measured.

It took some time, but theoretical physicists must have also realized the inherent conflict, and then came up with
multiverse theory. Yet another cockeyed attempt to explain that which we can not possible understand or explain
with the physics currently employed by conventional wisdom physicists.

This story appeared on the New York Times web site a few days ago:

President Is Said to Consider Preventive Detention Plan

...mulling the need for a "preventive detention" system that would
establish a legal basis for the United States to incarcerate terrorism
suspects who are deemed a threat to national security but cannot be tried

...ruminating over the need for statutory change to the laws so
that we can deal with individuals who we can't charge and detain

The mere mention of the idea of such a "system" here in the U.S. of A, should strike fear into the hearts and
minds of all American citizens. It would be created under the guise of protecting us from terrorists, but how long
would it then be until the system is misused & abused for political purposes? How long would it be before citizens
became political prisoners? What then would be the difference between our society and a totalitarian society?

If such a "system" becomes reality, only a matter of time it would be, when an individual's guilt would become
irrelevant. Mere accusation would be enough to get a person detained indefinitely, with no criminal charge.

Americans, click the link, read the story, then just go back to sleep.

A number a days ago there was a news story about, Scientists unveil 47-million-year-old fossilised skeleton of
a monkey hailed as the "missing link in human evolution". In another news report, the fossil is said to be that of
a lemur monkey and that it is the earliest common ancestor of apes, monkeys and homonids yet found.

In brief, being 47 million years old, it could not then be the missing link in so called human evolution. To accurately
characterize what the fossil would represent, would be a missing link in primate evolution, not human evolution.

Heard a news report radio this morning:  FBI Credits Informant for Helping Bust New York Terror Plot

After hearing the radio report, there were a few thing that were still unclear. Then I read a Reuters news report
about the arrest of the four men. The linked news report provided the information that was not made clear in the
original report. The bust would inspire more confidence had the suspects been apprehended with live munitions.

And for a cynical commentary on the coverage:  News Anchors Repeat the Official Account of the Plot

There are times when the backwardness which permeates contemporary society, is a disconcerting distraction from
whatever else there is. Times when actions spawned by regressive ideas, offend the concepts of common sense and
natural law. Such as when 'the state' sees fit to usurp an individual's free will, and forcibly impose the will of the state,
upon that individual.

Example; When the legal system (in this case, 1 jurist or judge) decides that a person who does not desire to undergo
some so called medical treatment, is forced to submit to some procedure(s) or become a fugitive. Forced to flee,
in order to avoid the state from inflicting upon them, the of whim of the court and that of some...Herbert.

Specifically, the woman and her son from Minnesota, now both on the run. Reports are, that after one round of
chemotherapy, the  13 year old boy wants  no more chemotherapy whatsoever. For those of us that think we live
in a free society, think again. State courts hold to the idea that they know better than you, what is best for your child.

Are the parents correct or not in their decision, is a separate discussion from the issue of  'the state' injecting itself
into the role of guardian, nullifying the parents rights. The message is clear. Your child is the property of 'the state'.

For a second example, one should review the  Terry Schiavo case. She was being kept alive by artificial means.
Only after a lengthy battle in the courts (her parents fought heroically to keep her alive), did 'the state' order that
her means of life support be terminated, completely contrary to the wishes of her parents. Shortly after life support
was removed, she died.

In the first example, a person not wanting medical treatment, is being forced by the state to accept a procedure
which includes a series of treatments. In the second case, the state decided that the person getting treatment
will not be allowed by the state, to continue treatment.

Two examples which do well to illustrate backwardness at some of its reprehensible best.

This blog will not make a value judgment regarding the parent's choice to support their son. The boy does not want
to submit to any more chemotherapy. His parents support his choice. Incidents such as this are not without precedent.

One case this writer remembers, which made the local news here, was that of a boy named Billy Best. In 1994,
Best was a teenager that ran away to escape chemotherapy for cancer similar to that of Hauser. Best recently
appeared at a news conference in Minnesota, in support of the Hausers. Billy Best claims he was cured by
natural remedies. Whatever, he rejected chemotherapy. 15 years later, he is still around to talk about it.

There may be an upcoming U.S. Senate race in Louisiana  that could potentially unseat the incumbent. If only for
the novelty of the juxtaposition, it would be interesting to see what the outcome of that election will be. This blog
considers it a no brainer, which of the two (the politician or the porn star) is more honest about who they screw.

This post is for all the global warming climate change 'chicken little' type crackpots and their dubious political agendas.
In the May 14th issue of  Fortune Magazine, there was an article titled:

What if Global-Warming Fears are Overblown?

The writer of the article, interviewed climatologist John Christy, director of the Earth System Science Center at
University of Alabama-Huntsville. A number of questions from the interview were included in the article, but one
question in particular stands out as 'an inconvenient truth' (inconvenient to the global warming liars):

"During your House Ways and Means testimony, you showed a chart
juxtaposing predictions made by NASA's Jim Hansen in 1988 for
future temperature increases against the actual recorded
temperature increases over the past 20 years. Not only were
the actual increases much lower, but they were lower than
what Hansen expected if there were drastic cuts in CO2 emissions -
which of course there haven't been.

[Hansen is a noted scientist who was featured prominently in Al Gore's
global warming documentary, "An Inconvenient Truth."]

Indeed, an inconvenient truth which glaringly contradicts global warming/climate change alarmism.

The World Health Organization has seen fit to declare false, the theory of Australian Virologist Adrian Gibb's
(accidental laboratory creation of the strain of swine flu responsible for the current outbreak). The quick rejection
of the theory by the W.H.O., in the perspective of this blog, reeks of backwardness.

As far as this blog can ascertain, no evidence or data has been presented to support the rejection, only statements
such as this one from W.H.O. Assistant Director-General for Health Security, "Based on that evaluation by all
of the laboratories, the conclusion is that this group of scientists
feels that the hypothesis does not really
stand up to scrutiny"
. That statement stands up to scrutiny because it came from a W.H.O. hack? I think not.

(Hack is defined as a professional who renounces or surrenders individual independence,
integrity, belief, etc., in return for money or other reward in the performance of a task.)

At the same time, those scientists which reject the theory, still can not (or will not) delineate the where the virus
came from. A little applied thought indicates that both claims could be correct. Common sense dictates that this
strain could have come from a lab, and then once out of the lab, further mutated into the strain that it is now.
If that is the case, then the W.H.O. scientists and Gibbs both would be correct.

However, if the World Health Organization were to be viewed in the context of  'being in the pocket' of  the
pharmaceutical companies, then any claims made by the W.H.O. must be viewed as suspect due to an obvious
conflict of interest. With that thought in mind, this blog must ask; Where exactly does financial support for the
W.H.O. derive from? If one were to follow the money, where would it lead to? Transnational corporations?

Just try to imagine the expression on my face, when I saw this headline on the internet today:

Obama Says U.S. Long-Term Debt Load 'Unsustainable'

In the article, the President "warned of skyrocketing interest rates for consumers if the U.S. continues to
finance government by borrowing"
... and he was quoted as saying, "We have to pay interest on that debt,
and that means we are mortgaging our children's future with more and more debt."

It may be redundant to say so but those concepts have been discussed in this blog several times.
More to the point, saying such things and doing so only a few days after this news report hit the web;
White House: Budget deficit to top $1.8 trillion, 4 times 2008's record, could compell a person to think,
someone speaks with a forked tongue and does so from both sides of their mouth.

It is a reasonable question to ask, how a virus created in a laboratory, could escape....

Canadian Scientist Arrested For Smuggling Vials Used For Ebola Research

"The incident has sparked controversy and serious questions
about security protocols at the Winnipeg lab that contains
some of the world's most deadliest pathogens"
.

This blog asserts that the clean rooms, sterile environments, "security protocols", internal controls
and all the safety precautions in the known universe, can not guard us against one simple fact of life:

"There will always be sufficient fools to overcome any fool proof system".
Quote from a Russian nuclear physicist speaking of the Chernobyl disaster

05-13-2009
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control is claiming the virus responsible for the 2009 swine flu outbreak is a
never before seen strain. Would that not indicate 1 of 2 things must then be true? A mutated swine flu virus
or a laboratory generated (either by accident or bio-engineering) viral strain.  CDC - New Virus Emerges

Then two days later, a news report is published, which focuses on statements made by a retired virologist
from Oz (Australia). In the on camera interview, he discusses the idea that this new strain of the swine flu
may have been accidentally created. If one did not know better, they would think that there is an incremental
process of information disclosure in progress, regarding the origins of the current strain of swine flu.

To perform any kind of analytical analysis of the available information, its best to discard the preconceptions
of conventional wisdom (the concepts that fit within the system of cultural allowances which has been
constructed for us). Once that is done, deductive reasoning can be used to ascertain the feasibility of
possible scenarios to determine what conclusion is most probable.

As we get more information, the likelihood that this strain of swine flu is a random mutation, is rapidly diminishing.

This entry pertains to the "unrelated related" part of yesterdays blog entry. An interesting curiosity,
the headline in the news story linked to in this blog's 5-11-2009 post, has (mysteriously) been changed,
(and without the typical 'updated' indication from Yahoo.com). The headline was changed from this:

White House: Budget deficit to top $1.8 trillion, 4 times 2008's record
To:
US red ink rising even higher, to $1.8T

The (truncated) headline from the Associated Press story, as of this writing,  can still be found  on the web.
Question is, why was the headline changed and at the behest of whom?

Could it be that someone at the White House, saw the original headline on the web (just as I did) and they
decided that from a public relations stand point, it reflected negatively on the current Administration? Then
they initiated some action which resulted in the headline being changed from what it was to what it is now?

Somehow this writer doubts White House staff is above utilizing such information management (spin control) tactics.

Today, saw a news report about a massive healthcare reform proposal which may be in the works. The news report said,
savings from the proposed changes would help fund healthcare coverage for the uninsured.

This writer is amused at how the report was worded...a person does not have to be genius to read between the lines of
that report to ascertain that, in total, the proposed healthcare reform savings will be insufficient to fund the entire plan.
Bottom line, the proposed healthcare reform will inevitably cost taxpayers more money. Considerably more if past
performance is an indicator of the future funding requirements of a new government initiative.

And in a unrelated related story,  White House: Budget deficit to top $1.8 trillion, 4 times 2008's record

For a number of months now, the downward spiral of the global financial crisis appears to have stabilized
(is not getting any worse or any better) and this writer is somewhat bewildered by that. The downward spiral
should not have stopped, (in my view) because the system has not yet completely collapsed (finished imploding).

The following snips of text were copied from some other internet rant, and in context, make some sense.

...because even at the very top of the world pecking order there is confusion...

...a new financial system has been set up but that the owners of the Federal Reserve Board
do not want to give up their dollar printing press. The result is a stalemate that could drag on for a while yet.

The bottom line though, is that the Federal Reserve Board is bankrupt and all its owners can do is play for time...

Proper context is, basically two factions of  'money power'  exist. They are battling for supremacy, and control
of the global financial system. This blog thus would speculate that the pause in the collapse is the "stalemate".

Perhaps readers saw news reports about the aptly named  "Scare Force One"  incident a few weeks ago which
occurred in the sky over New York City. This writer was not going to blog about it, then yesterday I saw this
news report:  Statue of Liberty's Crown, Closed Since 9/11, to Reopen July 4.

And in a related news story also released yesterday,  White House Aide Resigns Over NYC Flyover.

More or less, the point of this blog entry is to express the fact that this writer does not want to see
any other news worthy events related to the Statue of Liberty.

Saw the new Star Trek movie last night. If you plan to see it, go to a matinee and spend less money on it.

Of the eleven Star Trek movies, this one was by far the weakest. Take away the Star Trek franchise label,
and it is just another stupid action movie with a story which is not that good. While all the regulars from the
original series made it into the movie, true trekies will be utterly disappointed by the fact the movie deviates
in the extreme from Star Trek lore, unlike the other 10 movies, 4 tv series & 1 animated tv series, inspired by
The Original Star Trek Series.

This writer is aghast that a professional writer, writing a script for a Star Trek movie, would deviate so severely
from known Star Trek lore, and that the producers would allow such a thing. The movie, the story, and the
inconsistency with much of the fictional historical precedents of  Star Trek Lore,  was indeed disappointing.

From the website RightSoup.com:

Census Comes Early, With a GPS to Map Your Front Door

The U.S. Census Bureau is doing an Address Canvassing Operation
using GPS- equipped handheld computers to GPS every front door of
homes, apartments, converted garages, homeless shelters, and anything
they believe that someone might live in, in America, so that the Bureau
can send every household a Census Questionnaire in March of 2010

Coincidence or Synchronisity, as I was writing this entry, imagine my surprise when the wife told me that,
not more than 2 weeks ago, she witnessed one these GPS carrying census takers doing exactly what is described
above. It was a brief interaction and no questions were asked by the census taker. After GPS mapping (painting)
the house, the census taker walked across the street to the next house and repeated the process.

The idea of a census agent showing up at one's door an is aesthetically grim prospect, but the existence of
a database which contains the GPS coordinates of the front door of every domicile is the country, is an
intellectually grim prospect. Access to such a database would be an important tool if your part of a
commando team rounding up dissidents and resisters. When your kicking down someone's door
at 4 o'clock in the morning, you want to be certain your at the right location.

05-07-2009
As a general rule, this writer holds to the idea that there are no coincidences, only synchronisities.
There are however, those rare occasions when coincidence does indeed manifest. Then there are
those things, which thru consistency of repetition, eliminate the probability of coincidence. For example
when a discernible pattern of behavior emerges between a not so random group of people.

Its not a secret handshake but a  hand gesture.

A little simple research revealed a fascinating curiosity. The gesture in question, differs only slightly
from the sign language gesture for 'I love you'. Once that information was obtained, it took little
imagination to recognize that, the two gestures, displayed in sequence,
form a very clear (and disturbing) symbolic message.

Click this link to view a not so random, gesturing, sample population.

The swine flu scare seems to be subsiding (at least for the time being) so this blog
will review some revealing points (for discernment) of the Swine Flu Scare of 2009:

And then there is an article posted May 1st at Examiner.com;   Is the Swine Flu a Hoax?

The author suggests the idea that, "the swine flu scare...has a noticeable subplot - preparing you
for draconian measures to combat a future pandemic as well as forcing you to accept the idea
of mandatory vaccinations
".

Is not discouraging to see, there is someone else out there (a voice in the wilderness), paying attention.

It occurred to me after seeing a live Miss U.S.A. - Donald Trump press conference, that Carrie Prejean,
Miss California and first runner-up in the 2009 Miss U.S.A. Pageant, will get more publicity not winning

to win the Miss Universe Pageant as well).

There is a news story circulating, Canada: Officials Announce First Case of Pigs With Swine Flu.

The AP story says, "Officials Announce First Case of Pigs With Swine Flu", meanwhile,
W.H.O. says, "there is no evidence that pigs are passing the virus to humans"

Maybe this writer thinks too much, but one would think  a pig farm  La Gloria, Mexico, the so called
epicenter of this swine flu outbreak, would and should be the first place where pigs with the swine flu
would be found (of course such an idea is valid only if the virus is random in origin). News reports
indicate Agricultural Inspection Officials say there is no swine flu virus among the pigs in La Gloria.

Further into the story the W.H.O. is quoted as saying, "The World Health Organization has insisted
there is no evidence that pigs are passing the virus to humans
". If that is true then how did folks in
La Gloria become infected with swine flu?  People giving swine flu to pigs is indicative of  backwardness.

Absolute backwardness.

This blog entry, explores the potential long term danger which the current swine flu outbreak represents.

There are many people which hold the belief that the mark of the beast  referred to in the new Testament
Book of Revelation (13:16), is going to be an implantable microchip which we will all be forced to take
lest we become outcast. A year or two ago, this writer was exposed to the idea that the 'mark' will be
a vaccination. This blog does not know if either idea will prove correct however, this writer still carries
the mark (scar) from the small pox vaccination I received 40 years ago (the kid in line ahead of me
was screaming as though they were ripping his arm off...not something I will soon forget
).

It is now reasonable to expect, that later this year, an H1N1 flu vaccine will be introduced. Perhaps
you are old enough to recall the Swine flu 'debacle' of 1976. The vaccine developed then, is widely
accepted to have led to a percentage of people receiving it, getting sick and a percentage of those
died from illnesses resulting from their unfortunate choice (to accept the vaccine).

If this current strain of H1N1 swine flu is going to be "the killer virus", it will not become so until after
people start receiving the vaccine created to protect people from it...absolute backwardness.

So, when the time comes, if nothing else, remember two things,  Ferengi Rules of Acquisition,
rule 218) Always know what you are buying  and  rule 252) Let the buyer beware.

This blog asserts there are two primary dangers related to the swine flu outbreak,
an immediate potential issue and a potential long term threat.

Short term is mass hysteria, whipped up and fueled by over blown media coverage and the
warnings of the World Health Organization. How long will it take for folks (individually and
collectively) to begin shunning individuals which display even the slightest hint of a flu symptom?
How long before they start avoiding public places in which large crowds gather?

There are those people, even before this outbreak, which get really uptight when another
person so much as sneezes in their vicinity. How are those people going to react
in the face of an (over hyped) flu outbreak? What will the economic impact be?

The concept of the potential long term threat will be explored in a blog entry tomorrow.

Said it before in this blog and will say it again, the internet rarely disappoints.

There is a spectacle which occurs at Progressive Field in Cleveland (home of the Indians baseball franchise),
which I have seen more than a half a dozen times over the last 3 seasons of MLB baseball. A sight which is
distracting in visual effect, insignificant in scope...disturbing in stupidity...yet brilliant in its simplicity.

With the plethora of minutia posted and indexed on the web, googled the Indians fluorescent hat guy
He sits in the front row up on the first base side. First time I saw it didn't think much of it...some guy
wearing a fluorescent yellow hat. Then came the second inning and there is the same guy wearing
a fluorescent pink hat. Third inning, fluorescent green...turns out this jerk has a different hat for
every inning. Someone says he has been doing it for 15 years...guess he found his niche in life.

We are (globally) all being psychologically stampeded into a swine flu fear mentality.

Four years of bird flu hype has been used as a vehicle to prime (acclimate) populations for the idea of
a possible future flu outbreak, and that it would be a problem. If one were to hypothesize a ongoing
sequence of events, which would begin with bird flu hype being used as a propaganda meme,
then this swine flu outbreak may only be (as others have suggested) a "beta test" or a trial run of,
how far a virus will spread and how fast, as well as a test of system controls and organizational
responses. The final preparations (making certain all the pieces are in place) for the time when
the real killer virus is to be released?

This is where we are now, 2 possibilities: 1) A random strain of flu virus has emerged from a
pig farm in Mexico, or 2) There has been a release of a specific strain of flu virus.

Given that this swine flu outbreak is increasing in scope, after the typical end of flu season, combined
with four years of  H5N1 avian (bird) flu hype, and with the emergence a few years ago of the federal
government's (self described) "One-stop access to U.S. Government swine, avian and pandemic flu
information
" website,  www.pandemicflu.gov, it is difficult to accept the idea that this outbreak of the
swine flu as a random event. The alternative explanation (of a planned release) is even more difficult
to accept, but now after 4+ years of warnings, speculations and other available information,
accepting the idea of some random swine as the virus' vector source, is not an option (for this blog).

Viewing this swine flu outbreak in a 'fair and balanced' perspective, we see CNN is running a news story
which states: Regular flu has killed thousands since January,  meanwhile the current swine flu outbreak has
killed under 200 people according to reports. To illustrate the concept that media coverage of swine flu has
been disproportionately excessive, versus media coverage of ordinary flu. I did a  Google news search  of
2008 2009 flu season deaths  and  2009 swine flu deaths.  The results support my assertion:

2008 2009 flu season deaths query, yielded 719 results and many thousands of deaths.
2009 swine flu deaths query, yielded 13,723 results and a few hundred deaths.

A ratio of more than 19 to 1. Why so much hype so quickly? Is it a key part of a planned event?
Today as the 19 to 1 ratio bears out, swine flu is more about the hype than anything else.
We are being psychologically stampeded into a swine flu fear mentality.

Lets take a moment to recap a partial list of flu related articles posted on my news page:

04-27-2009
This writer first heard news reports about the current swine flu outbreak on April 24th. After 48 hours
of escalating coverage of the story, I thought it would be an interesting exercise to see how far back
news stories about the outbreak could be tracked. The oldest story found was dated April 21. Day 1.

Is this the flu outbreak we have been getting warnings (and related hints) about for at least the last
4 years? It is to soon to know the answer to that question. However, the weekend newscasts have
given this story considerable coverage. Coverage which was disproportionately excessive relative to
the actual number of confirmed swine flu cases (and so it begins).

If this swine flu outbreak is as some people have been asserting for a number of years now, (that it
would be a planned event, which would mean the virus was intentionally and maliciously released
into the general population), then this writer would conjecture that perhaps, releasing the virus is not
as much about culling populations as it is about implementing the next gradual step toward world
government, and here in the U.S., a giant leap in the on going process of moving this nation closer
to something resembling more than anything else, a system which is functionally totalitarian, thus
leaving us with a country which will be a democratic republic in name only.

If that is the nature of what is going on with this swine flu thing? And if continues to spread, then we
best prepare ourselves for, at the very least; quarantines, travel restrictions, forced vaccinations and
perhaps Marshall Law. Or maybe the whole thing will simply fade into obscurity in a few weeks.
Readers will have to determine for themselves, if this blog tending toward the side of alarmism.

Alarmist or not, blogging about the issue and being wrong, is better than not blogging and being correct.
In the event this swine flu outbreak, as a news story, does not go away any time soon, the timeline in this
blog entry will remain as the first post on this blog (while new entries continue to be posted just below),
until such time that the (swine flu outbreak) story ceases to be relevant (we all should hope will be soon).

And then there is this story;   "acting chief financial officer of troubled U.S. mortgage giant Freddie Mac,
was found dead in his suburban Virginia home after apparently committing suicide"
, essentially saying
case closed. This blog insists (based primarily on common sense) that my backwardness theory is
absolutely applicable in this case. The entire story about this guy's death (however brief the story is),
is precise in appearance and outcome, of how a murder is covered up as a suicide on tv and in the movies.

This guy hung himself in his cellar? This writer does not believe a word of it.

And from across the pond we have this story, which may or may not be of a similar ilk.
It was the next to the last paragraph which introduced the element of suspicion:
Top Cancer Scientist Killed by Chemicals

While one can imagine how such an incident could occur, one can expect the probability of such an event
to be low. Whatever else, this blog must ask, is this another story (cancer researcher suddenly dies and
a murder is proclaimed a suicide, that has been seen by this writer on television as part of a scifi/drama
tv show plot), in which life is imitating art?

Today this blog takes a moment to point out a few observations. Political correctness is, among other things,
a plague. To be in support of the anti "global warming" movement is politically correct. Only recently has this
writer observed that the term global warming has been replaced by the less specific term of climate change.

Do not know about where anyone else lives, but here the climate changes everyday. The so called global
warming issue is, and has been, nothing but a political movement based on half truths and lies. Now that
it is becoming sufficiently exposed as such, its become expedient for the movement to alter its catch phrase.

When this writer posted an entry in this blog earlier this month about the Department of Homeland
Security "intelligence assessment" and the criticism it drew, I did consider including a comment on
the lack of mention in the DHS report of the threat of left wing terrorists. At the time this writer did
surmise that such an omission in the DHS report was odd, curious and noteworthy. I did not
speculate about the failure to include the terror threat of radical leftists in the report because
it would have been a distraction from the primary point of the blog entry.

BTW, a grade A example of left wing terrorists, are the so called eco-terrorists. Some of those are
the radical tree hugger types and the like who torch upscale homes under construction and burn
automobiles at Hummer dealerships, and in general commit wanton acts of violence and destruction
(my guess is that the Unabomber, being an apparent neo-luddite, was also a radical far left winger).

Now it is a few weeks later and out of nowhere, I see a  news report  about how the FBI has added
some random, left wing radical to its most wanted list for crimes committed in 2003. Well talk about
a day late...more like 6 years. And as the late Paul Harvey would say, "Now for the rest of the story".

While flipping through the channels on the television a few days ago, stopped to see two talking heads,
one griping, the other listening, so I paused to see what about. One of them was stating their belief
(in no uncertain terms) that there is a direct correlation between the guy recently added to the FBI's
most wanted list, and the widespread criticism of the DHS report on potential right wing threats and
that the 'White House' was the driving force which prompted that addition to the FBI most wanted list.

Until the not so stupid talking head said it, I hadn't given the news report much thought.

Now in retrospect, the motivation of adding such an individual to the list does seem a bit blatant and
flagrant (as well as dubious). This blog expects the move will do little to mitigate the criticism of the
DHS report. In the view of this blog, the move was nothing more than a feckless public relations ploy.

Have you been to see a doctor lately. Perhaps you have and when the visit was over, you came out of there
with new prescription drug it is recommended you add to your existing daily prescription drug regiment.
To me, the frequency and predictability of such an outcome, is a disconcerting fact of life (a truism).

While on an infrequent visit to a "family medicine" doctors office, could not help but notice a pharmaceutical
company sales representative sitting with me in the waiting room. She was not there as a patient but as an agent
of her employer, doing whatever it is someone in that line of work does (hawking their wares I would imagine).

At the Dr.'s office new drug prescriptions are entered into a computer. At the pharmacy, everything is
computerized. It does not take much to imagine a world where the pharmaceutical companies have,
or can obtain access to, information on which doctor's are writing prescriptions for what drugs and
where those scripts are being filled, and that perhaps, someone back at the drug prescriptions
point of origin, is being compensated accordingly.

Pure speculation of course. One thing this writer does know, when it comes to turning a profit, shareholders
take precedence over all others including employees. Example: there are companies which are currently still
profitable, but none the less, are cutting employee's wages citing economic conditions and the need to reduce
expenses. The types of business practices corporate entities will engage in to increase profits, should never be
underestimated and should always be diligently scrutinized.

Just wait, it gets better. Then it became time for me to find a new dentist. That was another eye opening
and disconcerting adventure. Seems modern dental practices have their own gimmick for generating
revenue and increasing profits for the business.

For the first 30 some odd years of my life, for teeth cleaning and related dental work, I went to one dentist.
His practice was the picture of simplicity. One dentist, one receptionist/assistant and it never changed until
the day he retired. Even better was that he was old school...no frills, just get'em in, and get'em out and
do so at a reasonable cost to the patient. He had a successful dental practice.

A few years ago, while in a far off state visiting with some folks, a person there was describing how his
dentist intended to proceed with regard to some needed dental work (just some basic dental work).
This dentist wanted to schedule 4 visits to do work which my old school dentist typically performed
in 1 visit. Would have thought little of his story, except for the fact it precisely mirrored my recent
experience (with a dentist new to me). Imagine my surprise.

It took no imagination to realize how that could be, given that the 2 practices are four states and more
than 300 miles apart. Both practices are obviously operating from the very same business model.
That model (whatever its called) must be teaching how any specific dental procedures are to be
performed so as to maximize revenue for the business. Based on my observations, this is coordinated
in such a way as to max out the patient's yearly dental health insurance benefit.

As this writer has learned, old school is no longer how dentistry is practiced. The old school model is
either no longer taught or has fallen out of favor, and has been replaced by the Greet'em, Grease'em,
Fix'em & Fleece'em
model of how to operate a modern dental practice.

There is at least one dentist out there, which does seem to have deviated slightly from the GGFF model.
Judging by the look of the office and the staff, my guess is that his practice is sufficiently profitable,
so he doesn't see the need to fleece his customers (and their dental insurance providers) in the same way
many other dental practices clearly do.

Lets go back to the doctor's office for moment. My last two visits there, I was not seen by the doctor.
The last visit it was a  nurse practitioner  and the visit before that it was a  physicians assistant.

The Tea Party tax protests which took place all over the country yesterday, are something this blog
can not let pass with out comment. The protests mean nothing unless there is a second nationwide,
Tea Party tax protest.

The limited television coverage this writer has seen of the protests, on two mass media cable tv
news channels was enlightening. One channel's coverage was indeed (as they constantly claim)
fair and balanced. The coverage I saw from the other mass media cable tv news channel was
many things except, fair and balanced.

This week has seen the news coverage of a Department of Homeland Security "intelligence assessment
released to law enforcement" agencies, which according to the news report, was released last week.
Also there is coverage of the widespread criticism of the "assessment". The Department of Homeland
Security's Secretary responsed to the criticism. Here is a quote from a Washingtontimes.com article:

"The document on right-wing extremism sent last week by this
department's Office of Intelligence and Analysis is one in an
ongoing series of assessments to provide situational awareness to
state, local and tribal law enforcement agencies on the phenomenon
and trends of violent radicalization in the United States..."
The Homeland Security Secretary said in her statement.

When words such as, "assessments to provide situational awareness" and "the phenomenon and
trends of violent radicalization"
are used, one could expect that those are code words which indicate
high level government officials are anticipating civil unrest and/or, its just a pretense for future further
constriction of civil liberties in general. Some people would assert it is yet another in a series of
incremental steps, continuing the ongoing process of the converting a free society into a police state.

If the government were to label nearly all citizens as a potential extremism risks, it takes little or
no imagination to see that where it will take us as a society and a nation, will not be a happy place.

Do the American people need to 'read between the lines' of what the report is saying? This blog must ask,
what message is it that is being sent by this so called report on right wing extrexemism? Is this report an
indication of the formative stages of an upcoming, planned  Problem-Reaction-Solution  scenario, ie.
another Oklahoma City type event? We should all hope it is not.

There are no coincidences, only synchronicities. This writer finds it indeed curious that the department of
Homeland Security's "intelligence assessment", becomes a news story one week before the 14th anniversary
of the attack on Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City.

Today this blog focuses on a topic, of which, the only real point of reference this writer has, is from
hearing it as a discussion topic on late night talk radio, (so called) Shadow People. My interest in
the topic itself, which folks refer to as shadow people, ends with my curiosity to understand what
these people are actually seeing (or think they are seeing).

This blog is but one web page of a larger web site which explores many topics. Since the creation,
more than a few years ago, of our web site, by far the most visited page on our site is and has been
the shadow people page. A strong second on the visitor hit count is our Red Planet Mars web page.

This writer continues to be astonished by amount of visitor traffic the page gets, relative to our other
pages, and even more fascinating is the search parameters (key words) which people type into search
engines to get to our Shadow People page.

Equally interesting is the amount of page visits which originate from health care and related organizations.
One can not help but wonder if the people who are querying the internet about shadow people from
hospitals and the like, are doing so because of something they have personally experienced or if they
are motivated to search the web by the ravings and/or complaints of patients which they interacting with.

This writer thinks it likely what people are seeing, in at least some instances, are identifiable things which
are unidentifiable to them at the time. Whatever it is people are seeing, it is obviously unknown to them
and because they have no other point of reference, the observer decides...must be shadow people.

The extent to which this writer intends to speculate on the issue of shadow people ends there. My conclusion:
Shadow people simply becomes yet another subject to which no definitive determination can be made thus
there can be no informed opinion on the topic. As UFO researcher Stanton Friedman, often says,
"we'll just have to file it into the Gray Basket".

And just so it is not a topic for speculation by readers of this blog, be it known this writer did not generate
any of the content on our Shadow People web page. I am responsible only for formatting the content into
readable HTML. Story contributions from actual readers of the page and the musings of my partner,
account for most all the content on that particular web page.

The author of the following article poses 2 different scenarios and postulates as to which one is correct.
Problem is, BOTH are correct:  Sleepwalking our way towards a world currency

04-08-2009
A few days ago there was a major earthquake in a region of central Italy. Typically this blog would not
make note of such an event. However there are reports that an Italian scientist predicted an earthquake
in a nearby region. The timing of the prediction was within a week of the actual temblor. A report stated
that the guy who made the prediction and was warning people in advance and as a result, was subsequently
reported to the authorities regarding complaints of him "spreading alarm".

This is not the first time this writer has heard of an earthquake prediction followed up by an actual earthquake.
As can be expected, there are those scientists who, despite the outcome, simply will not accept the idea of the
possibility, of a correct earthquake prediction (to do so would interfere with their paradigm).

The methodology is irrelevant. Whether or not some type of real or 'junk science' was used to make such
a prediction matters not. The guy cried earthquake and was most certainly, not entirely incorrect.

This blog entry is an update on the North Korean rocket launch. Apparently the rocket was launched
and reports indicate that according to N.K., a communications satellite is now in orbit. More to the point,
it does seems the world community is not in any way, in agreement on how to respond, and in some cases,
are doubtful if should there be a response to the alleged missile test.

Perhaps even more interesting is the failure of Japan to make good on its published threat to shoot down
the rocket if it was launched. It is just a random thought but, this blog expects the Japanese military did
not shoot down the N.K. rocket because they (and their military hardware) are incapable of doing so.

This blog did not expect to have to write about the phenomenon of mass shootings again, this soon.
But in the time between this blog entry and the related previous blog entry (5 days), there has been
three more incidents relevant to the topic. To say that it represents a disturbing trend, says nothing
of what the causative factors are, behind each incident.

    Binghamton, N.Y. - Gunman kills 13, self
Pittsburg, Pa. - Gunman kills 3 Police Officers, injures 2 others
Graham, Wa. - Father kills 5 children, himself

In for no other reason than this writer having issues with accepting most anything at face value, the
question is asked: Are these shootings part of a larger agenda, a Problem-Reaction-Solution scenario?
How many more people will have to die in senseless incidents such as these before people cry out
in mass that something must be done? And when they do, what will be offered as the solution?

Even if all these occurrences are individual isolated incidents, one must also ask the question:
When will the next incident occur and how offensive will that one be to our sensibilities?

Ok time for the soap box again. What people do not understand is the that current global economic crisis
is  a planned event.  It is an orchestrated  Problem-Reaction-Solution  scenario. This is a crucial step in
the process of herding the world's societies into the idea of a collective system of global governance.

The long term goals of the small group of puppet masters who control global economics and politics, include
a prolonged severe economic downturn. That a global economic crisis is now occurring, is as far as this writer
is concerned, an expected and predicted result (heard a person 10 years ago say this was coming, and why).

The so called crisis is set into motion, by what in its simplest terms is withdrawing the availability of credit.
After that, everything falls like so many dominos.

As means to deeper understanding of the 'lager picture', this blog copies from and links to someone else's blog:

04-03-2009
This blog entry is primarily for the purpose of describing and understanding for myself, some
thing which this writer (whether I like it or not) inadvertently continues to observe. Have been
trying to ignore and dismiss it, but apparently the longer I do, the more intense and unsettling
the phenomenon becomes the next time it is observed.

For several months now, more often than not, when the President is seen speaking on tv (video clip
sound bite or press conference, doesn't matter), I get a sense of something not being right, an intangible
perception of falseness or of something being false (not to be confused with disingenuousness).

The impression (of something seeming false) was especially pronounced during my viewing of a video
clip seen on a tv news broadcast of the President speaking during the G-20 meeting in London earlier
this week.

Could it be that, subconsciously some visual cues are being picked up on or is some kind of pattern
recognition thing going on, or is the whole thing just a figment of my imagination, I do not know.

Perhaps because I have now chosen to acknowledge it, the condition will fade into obscurity.

04-01-2009
Once again, according to newspaper, tv and radio news reports, some Islamofascist who has been
claimed by the same reports, to be the leader of the Pakistani Taliban, has issued a warning or threat
declaring there will soon be an attack on Washington D.C. which will "amaze" everybody.

Excuse me while I yawn. This is not the first time since 9-11 we have heard such a proclamation
followed up by absolutely nothing. Assuming that such a threat has actually been made, this blog
asserts that if talk is cheap, then that fool will be proven to be quite stingy. There will be no attack
on DC or any other American target perpetrated by Islamofascist fanatics or anyone else.

With that said, if some related type of event does occur, this writer expects that the most likely candidate
to which the finger of blame will be pointed by the mass media, will be Iran. This blog predicts that if there
were to be a terrorist event and Iran does not get the blame, then that so called leader of the Pakistani
Taliban will be propagandized in such a way that he will be made into the next terrorist boogie man.

03-31-2009
Yet again there has been a seemingly inexplicable random mass shooting spree, this time at a nursing
home in North Carolina, which has left eight people dead. To be certain, a unnecessary and tragic event.

If one were to include in the count the mass shooting in Winnenden, Germany earlier this month,
the recent spate of mass shootings is now no less than three separate incidents in March 2009.
The kid in Germany, the guy that rampaged across 2 counties in Alabama and the incident Sunday.

The phenomenon of the mass shooting is not new. We have only to look back to the 1990's
to recall a disturbing number of mass shootings at schools. That particular spate did seem
to cease rather abruptly. Such events seem to defy rational explanation. This blog will not
speculate as to whether or not these are isolated, copy cat incidents or if there are larger
forces and agendas at work. Dunno but anything is possible.

With that said this writer asserts that whatever else is true, with all certainty, before
the end of this year, the federal government will enact new restrictive gun legislation
into law. It has happened before and it will likely happen again.

Several days ago, the wife and I attended a wedding and the reception. While we were there,
it took little time for me to recognize that a blog entry would be inspired by the function.

Tradition dictates that the family of the bride is who pays for the wedding and the reception.
To my (twisted?) way of thinking, this tradition is completely backwards (or the opposite of what
the tradition should be). Also this tradition could be seen as being consistent with, and in part,
illustrative of, the trend of backwardness within contemporary western cultures.

In a different forum, the explanation of my thinking on the tradition would be explained
in very crude and vulgar terms (this would be to facilitate a simple understanding of my
point of view, and just for fun).

In short the family of a bride are already giving (their daughter). The groom is thus on the
receiving end of the equation. Therefor the tradition of who pays for the festivities, is in
error and backwards. But who is this writer to question tradition or conventional wisdom.

If one were to follow a logical progression of thought on this topic, the question could
be asked: When the people getting married are a 'same sex' couple, who pays for the wedding?

03-27-2009
Back to, for a moment, the rocket launch by North Korea, which it seems will be some time next week.
In that blog entry, this writer should have more clearly stated the nature of the available information.

The basic propaganda line being disseminated by the western corporate media is that it is a missile test.
According to the same media sources, the North Korean propaganda line is that the rocket will be
carrying a communications satellite.

This writer, being unconvinced North Korea has the capability to launch a satellite into Earth orbit, finds
the missile test explanation to be the more plausible of the two, (assuming the launch actually occurs).

03-26-2009
This writer has been reluctant to blog in any way, about the AIG bailout fiasco, until this morning.
Heard a news report on the radio (WCBS 880am NYC) which seemed to be saying that some
AIG executives would not be forced to testify somewhere in Connecticut, because of concerns
for their safety. The concern for safety is the aspect of the radio news report which is most
pertinent to this blog entry.

One could speculate that legislation which authorizes bonuses for executives of a company
which has received billions of taxpayer dollars, is as other have insisted, be it indirect or
direct, a method of cultivating class envy among those people which comprise the lower
levels of socioeconomic stratum, which ultimately evokes an overall negative societal response.

Violent responses to economic hardship have already become a reality in many countries
around the world, in the form of rioting. Thus one must ask; Have mass protests and rioting
improved the economic conditions which people are visibly upset about? Rioting and violence
are the worst possible choices a society can choose as a response to economic hardship.

Violent choices will with all certainty, result in a violent response by authorities.
Who benefits from that? Be assured it is not the average joe or the society as a whole.
Is it difficult to tell the difference between a crackpot and pragmatist?

The economic conditions here are not yet as bad as it is going to get. Further deterioration
will occur (it is going to get worse folks, maybe a lot worse). When it does, the risk of
violent protests here in the 'states' will increase substantially. This is a bad thing!
Let this blog be abundantly clear...Rioting and violent protests are very bad choices.

Please remain calm at all times...This is only a test.

03-25-2009
Apparently several days from now, in a much publicized development, North Korea will test launch
a missile. For any number of reasons, this writer is interested to see where exactly the missile goes
(and what it does). Also as a geopolitically charged event, this blog the can hardly wait to see where
the rest of the story goes.

Today in what is not entirely an unexpected turn of events, Japan's  Asahi Shimbun  newspaper has
reported that Japan will order its self defense forces to destroy the North Korean rocket if its launched.

Yup, this could be a big nothing or, a portent of disaster for the region.

Several times today, have heard news stories which mention "ridding banks" of up to a trillion
dollars of toxic assets. Those are code words for shifting ownership of bad debt to the government
(the taxpayers). It is all just more smoke and mirrors...more shat, continuing to flow downhill.

Recently, news stories about space junk being a navigational hazard for the ISS, have become not
uncommon. The sudden publicity regarding space junk and the threat it poses to the international
space station, begs the question is there some larger as yet unrevealed issue or agenda driving these
news reports? One would expect, these news stories are culled from NASA press releases.

Are these stories intended to prepare the public for a sudden unexpected (however expected by NASA),
evacuation of the ISS? And or a covertly planned, total abandonment of the international space station?

Because of the consistant affirmation of  backwardness theory, news reports such as these can seldom be
accepted at face value, thus this blog must ask: What is the rest of the story?

Just seeing television commercials, a person can ascertain that having the so called octo-mom, repeatedly
appear as a guest on your tv show must be good for ratings. By my count (just from seeing commercial
advertisements for the program) she has been on at least three episodes of the Dr. Phil show
(btw, commentary on Dr. Phil would require its own blog entry and that is not going to happen).

The octo-mom is a woman (already a single mother) who by means of artificial insemination, has gestated
eight children in one pregnancy. She was unable to carry them to full term, but news reports are indicating
that all 8 are apparently in good enough condition considering their circumstances.

Now comes the point of this blog entry: Like so many conditions which exist in our society, those which
we are forced to live with and those which we are enticed to observe, I add the octo-mom to the list of
things which just do not leave me with a good feeling.

Since childhood this writer has been observing events, policies, practices and conditions which even as
a preadolescent, instinctually resonated with me as being inaccurate, false, divisive, defective and perverse.
At that time, there was no point of reference with which I could use to construct my opinions and I saw
things in the stark, simple contexts in which they existed. And very often things defied common sense.

What was observed then, has not only continued unabated, it has accelerated. The American way of life,
as it was, has been altered economically, socially, politically and demographically for the purposes of
fragmenting the people and the nation. To characterize what has been seen as fragmentation is the result
(the outcome they desire) but it is more accurate to identify the observed things as the means by which
the society is being intentionally eroded from both the inside out and around the edges. And we, as
members of the society, to a large extent have been and are still being influenced and enticed to participate
in the planned destruction. And an ever increasing number of people are being victimized by the results.

It is the incremental changes written of in this blog before. The analogy applies, if you toss a frog
in a pot of boiling water it will quickly jump out. But put it in a pot of cold water and gradually
increase the heat, the frog will stay in the pot and slowly cook.

Folks, the water is getting rather hot these days.

03-18-2009
This blog entry seems to have been inspired by a recent price increase by manufacturers of cigarettes.
At least several producers have increased the price of these products in the range of 8 to 15 percent,
all at the same time...could there be any collusion involved? More to the point, the manufacturers of
these products raise their prices 3 week before a new 61 cent a pack federal tax takes effect on
April 1, 2009 (an ironically twisted date for a new tax and the people which will pay it).

Cigarettes prices seem to be immune (or ignorant) to the finer points of supply and demand economics,
as there has always been both ample supply and demand. And the government's role in the ever
increasing cost of cigarettes can not pass without further comment.

In principal, usage taxes are not an unreasonable method to generate tax revenue. However such taxes
become unreasonable and burdensome when they are incrementally increased over time for the purpose
of supplementing decreasing tax revenue, when overall tax revenues fail to meet budgeted expectations.
Case in point, the commonwealth of Massachusetts.

This writer has only to look to a neighboring state to see the effrontery and insolence of increasing usage
taxes because of an overall decline in tax revenue. There has been a one dollar increase in cigarette taxes
already, there is a proposed increase in the gasoline tax as well as a proposal to increase tolls on certain
parts of the Mass Turnpike (the more heavily traveled parts of course).

All those items costed less in this state than in that state, before the tax increases! Thus the argument
can be made that those tax rates are excessive. Of course when tax revenue do not meet expectations,
the knee jerk response is to raise taxes instead of implementing the more common sense approach of
spending less money (and still no mention of liquidating any portion of off budget assets and revenues).

The lying to and fleecing of the people who do the work in our society, irresistibly continues.
Long live the king.

03-16-2009
There is something which for some time now has repeatedly manifested in our society and has
done so for far to long. People who cite the constitutional separation of church and state to
assert their rejection to any public display which could be perceived as religious, as a means
of declaring their freedom from religion.

Seems to be about every three weeks or so when there is a news story in which there is some
pending litigation or legal action involved in some perceived separation of church and state issue.

Any belief in the idea that the 'Founding Fathers' had the intent to separate religion from society
is incorrect. "Separation of church and state is a political and legal doctrine that government and
religious institutions are to be kept separate and independent from each other."

"Specifically, the First Amendment to the US Constitution, states that the government cannot
make any laws to establish a state religion or prohibit the free exercise of religion".

Too many people find the distinction inconvenient and they ignore it (and/or are ignorant of it).
They have no problem using the idea as a means to appease their own petty personal crusades.

Normally this blog does not post links to websites or articles which this writer has not read. Today this blog
makes an exception. On the basis of the title (and having in the past read a 1000+ pages of the authors musings)
I have no reservation about posting the link to a brief essay called, Don't Riot - It's Just What They Want

The author is David Icke. As far as this writer has been able to discern, a person has to be somebody to
be invited to the speak at the Oxford Union Debating Society. Icke must be somebody then. His appearance
there can be seen on youtube.com. In his speaking engagement at Oxford, Icke expresses political realities
in terms which us average folks can comprehend.

This post is from the 'stupid is as stupid does' department. Monday March 2nd, a group which calls themselves
Capitol Climate Action, staged a global warming protest in Washington DC, and it snowed. Perhaps that day,
Mother nature saw fit to spit in the faces of some of the 'junk science' climate change chicken littles.

Strangest thing. Last week this writer saw a story on the Fox News Channel which reported Secretary of State
Clinton had granted China Eminent Domain over United States property as collateral for the billions of dollars
United States debt, which China owns.

To say it is a geopolitically significant development severely understates the reality of such a move. Now here is
the strangest part of the story...there is no story. After searching the internet repeatedly, altering my search
parameters several times in the process, could find not 1 main stream media story on the topic, none.

The story has received ample coverage on non-main stream websites but corporate mass media, zero coverage:

"The United States of America has tendered to China a written agreement which grants
to the People's Republic of China, an option to exercise Eminent Domain within the USA,
as collateral for China's continued purchase of US Treasury Notes and existing US Currency
reserves ... The written agreement was brought to Beijing by Secretary of State
Hillary Clinton and was formalized and agreed to during her recent trip to China."

Why no coverage of such a news story? It is refered to as, a conspiracy of silence.  However,
no amount of denial or skepticism can alter the fact I did see the story covered on a corporate cable
television news show last week, before the story was disappeared by the corporate owned media outlets.

Feds Grant Eminent Domain as Collateral to China for US Debts

This evening the President, once again, will speak on nationwide television.

Despite whatever the President is going to say, how anybody can actually believe the economy
will ever get better, is almost beyond my understanding. This blog asserts that there are two
primary ideas which explain why people would think the economy will improve.

1) Historical precedent seems to indicate the economy is cyclical and currently is at or approaching
the low end of a cycle. That argument fails on the basis of unprecedented federal government
spending which has resulted in unprecedented, astronomical debt accumulation. When ever
you hear any person speak of 'printing more money', know that those are code words for
the creation of more debt. Debt which, under the current system, can only be serviced and
never retired. The result of this reckless, unprecedented creation of debt means indenturing
all future generations of Americans to the foreign entities which own the United States'
multi trillion dollar debt.

2) Plain old fashion fear. People have a psychological need to believe economic conditions
will improve. They have this need because without it, there is no hope for them for the future.
There is only apprehension, fear and uncertainty. This blog sees no rational reason to think
improvement of the economy is on the way, ever. Quite the opposite.

The only potential which could change the world in terms of economics (the production and
distribution of resources) is a three pronged change: The introduction of a new economic
system in which resources are allocated without respect to accumulation, greed or wealth.
Such a change is likely only to occur with the introduction of a new, clean and
thermodynamically more efficient energy producing technology.

Those two things, in conjunction with a new paradigm, is the "real change" which is required
to restore the economics of the 'global village' to a system able to provide sustainable resources
to a continually increasing world population. If there is a better answer to resolving the global
'economic meltdown', this writer has yet to hear it.

Today while channel surfing the tv to see what was on, that sucked less than what ever else was on,
this viewer was just in time to see the President's "Briefing on the Fiscal Responsibility Summit".

What can be said of such a thing, at this point? Fiscal Responsibility Summit. The irony and oxymoronism
of such a concept, illustrates in ways which few other words can, backwardness theory. Perhaps even
to the point of transforming theory into fact.

Yes, a Fiscal Responsibility Summit...sounds like an idea whose time has come.
Unfortunately it is 10 years to late and 11 trillion dollars too short.

Two things this blog takes issue with: 1) Reckless spending of money and 2) is one fact of the function
of the Legislative branch of the United States government which continues relentlessly unabated;
compounding stupidity with yet more, unrepentant stupidity.

Case in point, the $780,000,000,000 so called stimulus package. This money (which does not exist)
is going to be taken (magically) from one black hole and immediately will be put into another black hole.
In terms of the average American citizen, who of us is actually going to see any of that money?

780 BILLION DOLLARS or approximately $2600 for every person in this country and all we get of it
is about a $13 reduction of Federal income tax withholding from our paychecks. I am absolutely giddy
with excitement over the prospect of an extra $52 a month.

The compound interest we and uncounted future generations (yet to be born) will have to pay is
compounded even further by incomprehensible Executive and Legislative compound stupidity,
thus diminishing the potential future growth of capital...the net result of which...the United States
will become the world's largest third world country (and thats when the final stages of
the break up of the United States will conclude?).

Today in this blog, a constant of pop culture takes a hit. The television game show phenomenon.
There is one game show in particular which this writer insists is just plain evil. Deal or No Deal.

Any game show in which the contestant can win several hundred thousand dollars, and still feel like
a jackass afterward, is by its very nature, insidious. For example, a contestant takes a deal for
$250,000 but in the process gives away the case they originally selected which contains the
$1,000,000 prize. Despite the fact one can easily appreciate the dilemma of the contestant,
if that were me, feeling like a jackass would be severely understating the magnitude of folly.

From there, it just gets worse. On a recently aired episode of the show, a contestant, we'll call
him Dick, got all the way down to just two cases. His case and the one random case left.

One case contained the $1,000,000 prize and the other had one dollar. Dick's mom was very clear,
"Take the deal". The deal was about $650,000. Dick, determined to live up to his name, did not
listen to his mom. He rejected the deal, held on to his case to find it was the one with the dollar.
The outcome was not a surprise, as it was the inevitable conclusion of a fool and his money.

This is a follow up entry regarding the status of New Hampshire Republican Senator Judd Gregg.
Several days ago, Gregg unexpectedly withdrew his name from nomination to the post of Secretary
of Commerce. Also, at least one person had already announced their candidacy for his Senate seat.

A statement from Senator Judd Gregg, among other things said, "on issues such as the stimulus package
and the Census there are irresolvable conflicts for me
". Given that this blog in a prior post, initially
questioned the true reason for Judd's selection to a Cabinet position, this outcome should not be surprising.

For some time, this writer has considered blogging on a topic, which to be blunt, is beyond
my comprehension. Discussion on this topic is not new in conspiracy circles on the internet,
and has now recently had some limited exposure (introduction to the masses?) on at least
one mainstream mass media television news program. The topic is...

The dissolution of the United States of America into smaller regional entities. Quite often
the concept is inextricably linked with a future civil war in the United States as well.

My first reaction has always been to dismiss such concepts as nonsense. These ideas are easily
cast aside by me, if for no other reason than the fact I do not posses the intellectual training
required to comprehend how such outcomes could manifest into reality.

It is always a treat when the rare occasion arises, that I am exposed to genuine intellectual
thought (which includes the writings and musings of those individuals who are intellectuals).
Ever heard of a guy who went by the name Marshall McLuhan. Not me, not until recently.

In March 1969 Mr. McLuhan did an interview with Playboy in which he discussed in scant
detail, the topic of the breakup of the United States. The interviewer was a person not known
to me, moreover, while reading it, I got the impression that Mr. McLuhan, at least in part,
was interviewing himself.

In the interview, he spoke of the various bureaucratic, cultural, societal and technological mechanisms
involved in the break up and approached the concept from the point of view that it was already in
progress (in 1969) and that it is the inevitable outcome of the combination of factors.

It is not clear to this writer if Mr. McLuhan's obvious intellect, or for that matter, if anything else,
testifies to the veracity of his assertions. However most fascinating is the fact he discussed how
people such as myself would find the idea of the dissolution of the United States "inconceivable".
When the interview was published, five years old I was. Nevertheless, he stated the primary
reason for my current rejection the concept of the break up of the United States.

The entire interview is fascinating, however the relevant content begins with the interviewer
asking, "Are you in favor of legalizing marijuana and hallucinogenic drugs?" McLuhan
then expresses some enlightened yet disturbing thoughts regarding our "fragmented culture".

In the past, any conjecture this writer has had exposure to regarding the concept of a future civil
war and susequent break up of the United States into smaller regional entities, has always suggested
that it would be part of a larger, New World Order contrived plot. However, that in no way,
shape or form, is what McLuhan has described in his interview.

What McLuhan discusses are functions of the transformational affect of "electric media", of which,
the primary medium has been television. As postulated by McLuhan, the affects on the society of
TV result from, as he states, "...the medium is the message, rather than the content; it is the
participatory nature of the TV experience itself that is important, rather than the content
of the particular TV image
". One brief excerpt of a much more lengthy, indepth explanation.

So then, the portion of the interview which was clipped and posted in a reader website forum
(the segment where McLuhan speaks of the break up of the U.S.), as it turns out, is not a
stand alone prediction but an observational extrapolation. Thus this blog must conclude that
his statements on that topic, in the way it was recently presented in an internet website forum,
are completely out of context.

After reading the entire interview, what McLuhan describes, taken in context, is considerably
more intriguing and illuminating than some oft spoken of, hypothetical New World Order plot.

Here is a link to the interview:   March 1969 Playboy Marshall McLuhan interview

For the last day or two, some of my blog time has been reallocated. The wife has seen fit
to update her blog. While she is solely responsible for the content of her blog, the task of
formatting it into readable HTML is more my fortè.

Her blog is titled  Lifting the Veil  and the content does provide some interesting insights.

My and her opinions differ considerably on the 2012 issue. The 2012 hype was mentioned
in a previous post in this blog. However, I neglected to expressly mention that the 2012 hype,
will play out in much the same way as the Y2K hype did (all hype and no substance).

Today the President spoke on television from the White House. Not a unusual occurrence.
What was unusual, was seeing an active outdoor background behind him. He was positioned
directly in front of a window, which, looking out the window behind him, what could be seen
was the snow covered landscape and two way automobile traffic on a busy enough street.

This writer can not recall ever seeing a President speak from inside the White House,
without an opaque backdrop. The window behind him clearly had some kind of transparent
covering over it. My guess is that it was some kind of one way tint which prevented
anyone on the outside from seeing in (a necessary security precaution one would think).

The President being positioned in front of a window with an active outdoor scene can not
have been random a choice. We can be assured it was planned that way. For what purpose
one can only guess. What I do know for certain is, being able to see thru the window behind
him, did in some measure, distract me from whatever it was that he did speak about.

Update
Today (Friday the 6th), once again the President was on television speaking from
the White House. This time, behind him was the customary opaque backdrop.

02-03-2009
Today news reports indicate the White House has confirmed rumors by nominating Senator Judd Gregg
(R)New Hampshire for the position United States Secretary of Commerce. A later report stated that Gregg
would only take the job if Governor Lynch (D) New Hampshire, would appoint a Republican to replace him.

If the Senator were to be confirmed for the job (a likely outcome), what are the chances that the
Democrat Governor Lynch would replace Gregg with a Democrat? Such an appointee would
give the Democrats in the Senate the key 60th seat which would solidify their control of the Senate.

The selection of a Republican by a Democratic President for a cabinet position, while not unprecedented,
does on the surface, give the indication of a bipartisan "reach across the aisle". Nonetheless, one can
only imagine the true political motivation driving Senator Gregg's nomination.

In what is a somewhat insignificant side note to this post, a combination of random chance
and acute awareness, provided the wife and I an unlikely opportunity to meet Senator Gregg.

It was one evening about four years ago, as we were walking thru Manchester Airport to meet
an inbound passenger, when I spotted Senator Gregg standing alone at a luggage carousel.
He was waiting for his bags looking much like any other ordinary business traveler.

The Senator was standing there and nobody at all was paying him a bit of attention. This writer
would expect people in general are demonstrably oblivious to the details of their surroundings.
or else other folks would realize they were walking right past our state's senior U.S. Senator.
I however, was not so oblivious. We welcomed the opportunity and approached the Senator.

He was actually quite affable. He had no idea the barrage of questions (and criticism of the Senate)
we could have unleashed upon him. However we intentionally limited the brief conversation to what
was essentially innocuous dialogue. Once the carousel became active, we moved on and left the
Senator to retrieve his luggage in peace.

In recent weeks, the price of gasoline at local retailers has increased 28 cents per gallon. A news
report today confirmed this observation, as well as my speculation as to the cause of price rise.

Sighting no notable increase in demand, the report indicated that there is no tangible explanation for
"the higher retail prices at the pump". Imagine my surprise regarding that revelation.

It seems that across the continent of Europe, rioting has quickly become a national past time.

Difficult economic realties all over Europe are resulting in populations getting angry and the people
are taking to the streets in violent protest. Russia  now joins the growing list of nations including
Bulgaria, France, Greece, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania. Several European online newspapers also
mentioned recent protests in Denmark, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, and Spain as well.

Question is, if or when similarly motivated behavior will irrupt here in the U.S.?

A number of times now, it has been reported (and I heard him say it once) that despite the fact the Presidents
stimulus package (so called, others assert it is a "pork filled budget increase") is likely to passed both houses
of Congress, the President soberly said, "the economy will get worse".

If nothing else, it was somewhat astounding to hear a politician at that level, in such stark and honest terms,
speak the truth regarding a subject most other politicians would prefer to sugarcoat.

This blog rarely has to wait long, before the next topic for examination presents itself. The mundane realities of
day to day life, offer a plethora of potential blog worthy curiosities.

Today this writer was witness to a curious sight. In the parking lot of the strip mall where the supermarket and
chinese restaurant are located, some high school kid was being questioned by several local law enforcement
officers. By the time I got out of the car, one of those officers was speaking with a guy, (closer to the store
entrance than the kid and other cop), who was apparently a school teacher, familiar with kid being questioned.
Information easily gleaned as I walked past them going into the supermarket.

My foray into the store took about ten minutes. It was after exiting the store, while approaching my vehicle, that I
noticed some borderline geriatric who looked like he had just escaped from the old folks home around the corner,
hobbling with his cane, just as fast as he could go (which was not very quick), walking across the parking lot,
directly toward the kid being questioned by the cop.

Just as I was thinking there could be no connection to the old man, and the kid being questioned by the cop,
the old man calls out, "Anthony!". Imagine my surprise. Must have been his grandpa and someone with a cell
phone gave the old man the 411 on little Anthony, thus sending one motivated, gimpy old man on an epic journey.

Now if body language is expressive of thought, after he spotted the old man, the kid was clearly thinking,
This really sucks. What else could go wrong?

The sight of the old man hobbling across the parking lot (taken in context) was like seeing a brief scene from
a tv reality show, from the camera's point of view. The whole thing was just pathetic. I did not wait there to see
if the hero of this story did indeed inflict himself into the conversation of the cop and the kid.

While watching the Presidential Inauguration last week, the dais was mentioned at least several times.
Dais was a word not familiar to me (believe it or not). Of course now, that condition no longer exists.

It was only after last evening that I actually familiarized myself with the word dais. Last evening, while
watching the tv game show Jeopardy, a question used the word Deus, thus reminding of the word dais.

Here is a screen capture of the dictionary.com definition of dais:
dais definition

Already being suspicious as to the meaning and origination of the word dais, part of a Jeopardy question
using the latin word Deus (meaning God), also a word unfamiliar to me, got my attention.

The similar spelling and pronunciation of the two words got me to wondering if a dais is a word created
to be some type of (twisted) humanistic, symbolic representation of the Godhead. It was after that,
when I sought out the definition of dais.

Dictionary.com's definition indicates my idea is wrong. However that is not sufficient evidence for this writer
to dismiss the concept. As stated in a previous entry in this blog, words have power. Words can and do,
sometimes have esoteric symbolic meanings which are pertinent to their origin and current use. A fact
typically not given much consideration by casual users of language.

This entry delves into concepts of municipal use of passive surveillance technology. As we drove through
the EZ Pass lane at a toll both, my passenger expressed an idea wondering if technology at the toll booth
could be taking our pictures and measuring our vital signs.

Don't know about the vitals, but for sure if a vehicle drives through that toll booth without paying the toll,
there is equipment in place which will photograph the license plate of the toll evader. As I told my passenger,
what they can detect of us as we pass thru the toll booth is limited only by the technologies available and
the willingness to deploy such devices.

When passive surveillance technology is developed and deployed, which would be able to scan our brains and
determine if a person is a genuine Kool-Aid drinker or just a poser who is going along to get along, or as in the
novel 1984, when the vid screen on the wall can look back at us and bark out commands, it will certainly be
to late to become alarmed.

By then, dissent would be irrelevant and perhaps even self destructive. To say this writer looks forward to
such technologies with some trepidation, would not be inaccurate. And if there is anybody who doubts that
those kinds of technology are in development (also miniture personal tracking devices)...good luck to them.

Like any substantial change of an existing system, which people in mass simply would not be willing to accept,
passive surveillance technology has been and will continue to be implemented as a gradual process of change.
The idea is that people will offer less resistance to the idea of an immense change (of any system) if its done in
incremental, gradual steps. The conversion from a free society to a surveillance state is no exception.

Mass media news reports are indicating there are a number of Senators and Congressional Representatives
which are opposed to the new President's economic stimulus package on the basis that it is to much spending
and not enough tax cuts. All things considered, how this writer may or may not feel about  Keynesian economics,
is not relevant to the larger point of this blog entry.

The $825 million stimulus package proposed by the new administration, would be paid for with more government
borrowing (yet more money which does not exist). The argument could be made that if the stimulus package is
going to receive any funding, then it should be given funding sufficient to achieve the package's intent. To argue
about the amount of money which would be spent, is a non sequitur. The money simply does not exist.
It would be created (magically) by creating more debt.

The fact of the matter is, regardless of the cost of the package, the funding will come from what in effect is
the equivalent of one of us working class folks maxing out our credit cards shortly before filing bankruptcy.

This is how the federal government has been operating for a number of years now and the game is simply
allowed (for what ever reason) to continue. A fact which begs the question, why shouldn't the federal
government be allowed to max out its line of credit (and then some)? In a previous post in this blog,
the answer to that very question has been addressed; "adding onto an existing national debt
that mathematically, can never be paid off"
.

Sometime last week purchasing gasoline at the local Irving convenience store, could not help but notice, directly
above the main entrance of the store, was a well lit sign strangely resembling the Circle K convenience stores logo.
A Circle K store is something not seen by me since the early 1990's while visiting sunny southern California.
But I digress. Then looking at the receipt for my purchase, printed prominently on the bottom were the words,
Thank You for shopping Blue Canoe.

Given this information one could conclude this store is suffering from some type of identity crisis.

This evening we arrived home from our trip to see my wife's family. A somewhat diverse group of people,
all of which are interesting and likable to me in their own special ways.

The drive home was for most part, unremarkable. Notable though, was the volume of traffic or more to the point,
the lack of. Yes there were cars, buses and some trucks on the roads but the reduced quantity of vehicles was
quite noticeable. For me to say that I have made this trip many times is a gross understatement. Volume was light.

The interstate 95 which traverses the Eastern seaboard of the U.S. goes directly through New York City
and is the shortest and most direct route for us to get home from New Jersey. Over time, this driver has
found the best way to get where I want to go is to travel around the city, avoiding that route 95 corridor.

Also I have learned (the hard way of course) that when the NYC news radio traffic report states the amount
of time it will take to pass through the tolls at the George Washington Bridge crossing (typically inbound),
they always understate (or just plain lie) about the length of time it will consume. What ever they say,
add at least 20 to 40 minutes. There was one time when we traversed that route, that the first 90 miles
took about as long as the remaining 220 miles, and about half of that was slowly inching through the
backed up traffic waiting at the tolls to cross the Hudson River at the GW (George Washington Bridge).

This time was different. We were able to drive right up to the toll booth and right thru with no delay.
That is indeed quite remarkable and only the second time in eight years it has occurred. Typically,
choosing that route to get where I want to go, is a bad idea. This day was rewardingly different.

Experience has taught me there is no good time to travel through NYC. And for the driver inexperienced
at traveling that particular route, the signage, lane drops, lane splits, left lane and right lane exits as well as
the decision which can be made whether to go over the upper level or the lower level of the GW bridge
and what to do after getting to the other side, can be rather daunting. If your not sure of where you are
going and or not paying close enough attention, you can end up finding yourself in some unhappy places.
Interstate route 95 passes directly through the Bronx, New York.

Yes this writer has gone on with little brevity in this post, on what to anyone reading this entry could consider
insignificant minutia. However it is my blog and thus will drone on about what ever I choose for as long as is
necessary to complete my thought. Additionally, if this writer were ever to suffer from some form of amnesia,
these musings of minutia would provide a written record which could prove of some value to me,
in the unlikely event of such an occurrence.

This blog considers any usage of the words "safe" and "cigarette" together, to be clearly oxymoronic.

Today we are off to the Jersey Pine Barrens, to visit with my in-laws. While my in-laws
are indeed quite pleasant to visit with, the nearly 700 mile round-trip is a grueling journey.

Here in Anytown, USA, in the retail space vacated by the Hallmark card store a number of months ago,
(one could also say an entirely conspicuous location, basically on Main Street in the center of town),
there is now a United States Army recruiting office. Whether or not the change is significant,
is relative to your point of view. For the buildings landlord, what better tenant to have than Uncle Sam.

What ever else can be said of President Obama, this writer considers the following to be true:
He is now in a unique position to alter, in a positive fashion, how other peoples around the world,
will perceive this nation. Such an outcome would certainly be better than the status quo.
However, if it would make any difference in the 'big picture', is an open question.

The transition of the power of the Presidency in the United States is a noteworthy event.
It is a event to behold and is a sign of stability which should never be taken for granted.

There are people in our midst which have come here from countries not so fortunate. Some
of them observe the transition of power from the current President to the new and are amazed
that the changeover of such a powerful position, does not involve multiple exchanges of gunfire.

01-19-2009
How much change "real change" will be, remains to be seen but at the very least, it should be
quite interesting to see what issues, both domestic and geopolitical, are going to develop into
something significant and how they will be dealt with during the next one to four years.

It may seem like a petty complaint (and perhaps it is) but those careless people who
drive their cars around without properly clearing off the snow, are more than stupid.
They are a menace to other drivers as well as a safety hazard on the roads.

Around these parts, there exist laws which prohibit such inconsiderate behavior.
Those statutes seem to have little affect in terms of compliance. This writer has
an idea about increasing compliance (so the brainless jerks will clear off their cars).

Back in the good old days, violators of the law, for their offense would sometimes be put
into the stocks and placed on public display. Something similar should be proposed.
For example, these morons could be publicly beaten with a stick. That would learn them.

Can not tell you how many times on the television, I have seen authorities in countries
abroad, beating crowds of people with sticks. I never really thought much about it until
a person at work said, "Did you see it Dano? They were beating them with sticks! ".
At the time, it appeared he was quite amused by the sight of such an awkward spectacle.

For at as long as I have been aware of its existence (probably longer) the Mayan calendar has had
an end date of December 21, 2012. There has been considerable speculation (some uninformed)
as to why the Mayans chose that date to end the counting of time (and it is not because they
ran out of room on the stone).

As far as this writer is concerned, it is not a mystery. Only in the last year or two, have I discovered
that 12-21-2012 is the (approximate?) date which ends (and begins a new), astronomical cycle
known as the precession of the equinox.

It can be ascertained from analyzing Mayan temples, monuments and other artifacts, that the
Mayan civilization had a relatively detailed knowledge of astronomy. Thus it is not likely a
coincidence that their calendar ends with the conclusion of a cycle of precession.
How the Mayans obtained such knowledge is speculation for another time.

A cycle of precession takes almost 26,000 years to complete. A cursory study of the available
information (Plato's depiction of the destruction of the Atlantian civilization) indicates the
destruction of Atlantis occurred very close to the half way point of the current cycle of precession.

One can barely imagine how it could lead people to speculate on the reoccurrence of a destructive
global catastrophe, at or about the time of the cycle's completion. Such speculation might assume
the Atlantians were not engaged in some foolish science experiment (like trying to create a black
hole in a particle accelerator for example) when it all went horribly wrong, destroying their civilization.

What ever the case, many people are under the impression that the date of 12-21-2012 has more
than just astronomical significance. Some folks seem inclined to believe there will be calamitous
events of earth shaking proportions which will occur at that time. I do not believe so.

With that said this writer sees the date of December 21, 2012 as simply another day which
will come and (uneventfully) will go just like any other. Furthermore I would assert attributing
some larger significance to the 12-21-2012 date is at best, premature.

There are many additional aspects and potentials which should be included in any
more comprehensive discussion regarding the 12-21-2012 hype. Indeed far too many
to be meaningfully detailed and scrutinized in a few hastily cobbled paragraphs.

Last week on the History Channel, the theme was something called Armageddon week.
It was a collection of various television programs which basically were a reiteration
of material and themes covered on past programs. The primary thrust of which was to
delineate potential future impending doom and various associated wretched horrors.
An uplifting and inspirational grouping of programs it was not.

For some reason, the concept of such a thing (Armageddon week) irked me. Its seems to me
that besides ratings, the only thing such broadcast program selection provides is a method
to generate fear and apprehension about the future (to those folks which are susceptible
and/or receptive to such ideas).

On topic and wanting to be ahead of the curve (on when the end of the world will occur),
there is one point which my research has not yet revealed: When exactly it will be time
to give up on societal norms, get comfortable, sit back and wait for 'the end' to arrive?

A valid question regarding such a dubitable yet intriguing topic, I do not know. However, if
television programs are going to inspire anything, it should be hope, not fear and apprehension.

This post was originally was intended to go in another direction, but because there are some
lines which this writer has no desire to cross in this forum the subject content was modified.

Something which I have learned from the teachings of others and have confirmed through unending
observation, is the fact that words have power. Words come from thought...the point is the universe
has given us the ability to individually and collectively affect reality through the use of words.

What this means in practical terms, needs to be considered in two parts. This first part is the
philosophical question. Do words really have power? Philosophically, a question each person must
answer for themselves individually (by people willing and able to intellectually explore the concept).

The second and more fascinating part of the question explores the practical applications of the idea
that words have power.

For example, there are those times when a desired yet seemingly unlikely outcome is achieved
through what can only be described as the sheer force of will. Simply put, the outcome is
arrived at by precision word usage and guided intent (applied thought). The fact that a person
can essentially force such a specific desired goal into reality, illustrates that words are
more than a symbolic expression of thought.

Now if one were to apply the concept of 'sheer force of will" on a larger scale, one could
expect that a group of people (given a sufficient population), all focusing their collective
words and thoughts to achieve the same specific outcome, would be an indomitable power
(to be passive to the concept is to allow others to shape and decide reality for the rest of us).

Today the President-Elect named a Navy Admiral as his selection for National Intelligence Director.
In and of itself, not a particularly noteworthy occurrence. However, Over the years I have noticed
quite often the person selected as the head of the NSA has been an active duty or former high ranking
military officer (a fact not overlooked by some modern movie producers). A little research indicates
the trend is more consistent than I had realized, as a list by the NSA of former directors shows.

This trend is likely more significant than we working class folks realize. Perhaps the differences
between Maritime Law and Constitutional law has some bearing on this trend?

Constitutional law pertains to individual nation/states whereas Admiralty law or Maritime law is
international in scope and concerns activity on the high seas. An obviously relevant distinction as
the the world's oceans cover 75 percent of planet Earth.

One time I did hear a person named Jordan Maxwell speak to this very issue. What he spoke to was a
few specific points on the topic of how Maritime law could pertain to individuals. I can see how some
of what he said could be accurate (yet in my mind rather unbelievable). In some measure, what he
spoke of, in a round about fashion, reveals the power of words. The topic of this blogs next entry.

This entry is one for the minutia category. Yesterday I encountered something which in my
experience is very rare. A U.S. Postal Service employee with a sense of humor.

During the process of getting my package mailed, as like so many others before, the clerk
droned on and on like a mindless automaton, asking "would you like to purchase stamps or
any other postal products"
. Then when he was done and I said no, without blinking an eye
or skipping a beat he said' "if you would like to have this information in CD format, please
visit my website"
.

Maybe it was one of those things that was funnier if you were there, but at the time,
it was indeed amusing (not to mention unexpected).

On late night talk radio (very early morning for me) the listener never knows from day to day
who the guest will be or what will be discussed.

On a recent broadcast I heard a guest express the idea that the human race would not be allowed
to destroy ourselves or the planet with the excessive use of nuclear weapons. The guest did not
come right out and say it but the implication was that space aliens would somehow prevent
such a cataclysmic event as global nuclear war from occurring.

This is not my first exposure to the concept. It was no less absurd, hearing it for a second or
third time, than it was the hearing it the first. The hard truth is plain and simple. If the
human race is going to need to be saved from itself, it will have to be us that does the saving.

If we are passive and make choices which amount to nothing, the void created by our unwillingness to
make the hard choices, will be filled by those in power (some of which have psychopathic tendencies).

The few, will be permitted (by us the many) to implement their choices in some sort of foolish
passive versus aggressive scenario which simply will not benefit the human race as a whole
(which in part, does well to describe where we are today).

Collectively either through action or inaction, our fate as a species (and/or as a civilization)
will ultimately be decided by the choices which we select. People should be cognizant of the fact
that to not make a choice (doing nothing), is also a choice.

This writer would prefer not to have the collective fate of the human race be decided by people
who achieve power because they posses the competitive advantages of psychopathic characteristics.

Whether or not we are aware of it, life is a never ending learning curve. Some of what we learn comes from
experience. There is much to be learned from the experiences of other people. Then there are those times
when people just have to learn something the hard way.

Yesterday as we completed 'final services' (the customary death rituals) for my Mom, whatever else I felt,
there was the sense that there should be more. But that is not the point of this blog entry.

How ever much time there is, or how ever much time you think there is, there is never enough. Never enough
time to be with the ones you love. In some way, I am ashamed to admit that it took at least three repetitions,
of similar incidents before it really sank in. There is never enough time to share with the people closest to you
(my thoughts on this should not be misconstrued as regret).

If you think there is plenty or enough time to share with the ones you love,
this writer strongly suggests you recheck your arithmetic.

There is now, never a moment when I think things can not get more stupid. Then this morning I web surfed
to this (new year same as the old) news story:

Governors of five U.S. states urged the federal government
to provide $1 trillion in aid...The governors of New York,
New Jersey, Massachusetts, Ohio and Wisconsin -- all Democrats...

One can understand all those states are experiencing decreased tax revenue as result of economic conditions,
but to ask the federal government for more money (money which does not exist) is an indication to this
writer of a denial neurosis or just plain incompetence to carry out the duties of public office.

There is no great mystery of what to do about state revenue declines which result in budget shortfalls.
Spend less money. I think it is called fiscal restraint. Combine that action with the liquidation
of some of the hidden off budget assets.

Its seems that few people understand that most, if not all federal, state and local governments keep
two sets of books. The one most people see is the Annual Financial Report (AFR) which includes the
operating budget and the revenues which fund it (primarily taxes and fees). Then there is the second
set of books (publicly unspoken of by politicians), the CAFR (Comprehensive Annual Financial Report).

The CAFR includes all the off budget assets such as institutional funds, financial holdings, investments,
total investment income, basically assets and moneys which are never appropriated to be used in the
operating budget and that most average people do not even know exist. This includes productive cash assets.

Simply stated, these government entities have access to considerably more liquid cash assets than they
will publicly admit to. The only time I remember a politician seriously discuss off budget assets, was
then Minnesota Governor Jessie Ventura. As Governor, he served one term and did not seek re-election.

To summarize, as a taxpayer and/or citizen, how ever severely you may think we are being cheated,
it is far more deceptive, unrelenting and extensive than we can ever imagine. Happy new year.

It is now new years day 2009. Repeatedly I keep hearing various people on television and in real life,
saying words to the effect, over the long term (often they speak of many years), the stock market
will come back. And that people in it for the long term will be ok.

Every time I hear this kind of talk, I am reminded of the 'fine print' of any investment broker
commercial which is shown on television. "Past performance is no guarantee of future returns".

Its was Sunday December 28, listening to the news report on the radio about events taking place
in Israel and Gaza when I experienced a surrealistic moment. The news report sounded exactly like
a scene from any number of movies I have seen which have culled their plots from a study of
Christian eschatology. It was weird and for that moment, slightly unsettling.

Then of course, there are going to be those people which would say it is life imitating art and yet
others who would say, it is in part, the fulfillment of Biblical prophecy. And still others who will
insist it is the result of a century long plot to foment future conflict in the region (the future is now).

Quoting  Star Trek again, this writer will just say, "Fascinating".

On this day of December 30th in the year of our Lord Two-Thousand-Eight (MMVIII), my Mom past away.
She was the best mother any person could ever hope for. I will miss her dearly. God rest her soul.

This post is an addendum to my 11-28-2008 blog entry regarding the picture of an object on Mars,
which appears to be a piece of wood. Recently on a syndicated radio program, an independent
researcher, categorically proclaimed the object in question to be a rock.

Well unless the researcher has been to Mars and scientifically examined the object close up and in person,
an informed, definitive conclusion of precisely what the object is or was can not be obtained. For anyone
to think otherwise is presumptive, arrogant and unscientific. As I wrote then, "shows what looks like...
piece of wood (my guess is petrified wood)
". Petrified wood is rock. A picture may be worth a 1000 words,
but it reveals information which is insufficient to achieve an absolute identification.

Merry Christmas. In a December 10th post, the question was posed, why by federal government mandate,
are we being switched to all digital tv broadcast signals. The answer provided by the government's Digital TV
Transition website was nothing more than meaningless double talk. After reading the nonsense explanation
of the reason for the conversion, I was reminded that we are never told all the facts (truth) about anything.

Have you ever heard of Silent Sound Spread Spectrum technology? It is a rather nasty (insidious) form
of nonlethal weaponry (as with any other effective new technology, the first use is usually military). I have
a vague recollection of reports of the use of some kind of nonlethal weapons technology used during the
Desert Storm conflict of 1991. It may well have been SSSS technology.

The essay linked to at the end of this post elucidates the potential applications of such technology.
If the real reason for the switch to digital tv broadcast signals is for the widespread application of
Silent Sound Spread Spectrum technology (which makes more sense than the government explanation),
then the next step in the process of turning this nation into a land of mindless zombies will take a
giant (sinister) leap forward on February 18, 2009. Digital TV: Mind Control by the Sound of Silence

And then there is the Bernard Madoff story (which of course this blog can not let pass without comment).
The former NASDAQ president turned Wall Street investor, it has been said, has pulled off the single
most lucrative con job (ponzi scheme, scam, fraud, swindle) ever perpetrated by an individual.

The mass media has been providing a steady stream daily reports of people and organizations which
have suffered substantial financial losses (in some cases completely wiped out) resulting from what
is claimed to have been a $50 billion scam. Also being reported is that, of the $50 billion there is
no money left, none. It is my guess there had to be at least some money left when the fraud was
exposed and somebody was able to get to it first.

Bernard Madoff has single handedly epitomized the financial system.

"Madoff's swindle...is the product of a systemic imperative and the economic culture...
The paper economy, hedge funds and all the 'sophisticated financial instruments' are
all 'Ponzi schemes'...they are not based on producing and selling goods and services"

Quoted from: Bernard Madoff: Wall Street Swindler Strikes Powerful Blows for Social Justice

And now it is being reported, a Wall Street investment broker said to have lost more than a billion dollars
as a result of investing with Madoff, has performed an Americanized of version hara-kiri. Indeed yet another
unfortunate outcome to the Madoff debacle. Along with what is likely to be many other people (one less now),
this writer would like to know what happened to all those billions of dollars.

It is that time of year again (Christmas time) when some politician or 'petty bureaucrat' will take it upon
themselves to transform the local public Christmas tree into the 'holiday tree' (all in the name of political
correctness). So far this season, I have seen two such incidents reported on by the mass media.

And though no person which is guilty of such an affront will publicly admit it, one can expect that at least
some of those tree transformers, have a extreme dislike of Christianity. These are too often the same people
which preach tolerance. Seems to me that many people who preach tolerance, are the some of most hate filled,
intolerant hypocrites around. Ironic and consistent with the pervasive backwardness of contemporary society.

For many years now (and always on a Saturday), I have become accustomed to hearing the Presidents
weekly radio address. Now for the third consecutive week, I have heard the president elect's weekly
radio address. In my memory there is no precedent for such a thing. Two of those such speeches were
given before the Electoral College had cast their votes (thus a bit presumptuous). Yet another
insignificant curiosity perhaps but one can not help but think, keep quiet and wait until your turn.

12-18-2008
Heard about it on the radio (WCBS 880 out of NYC) this morning and this afternoon seeing the video on FoxNews,
was a copy cat shoe throwing incident (and ya just knew it was gonna happen). In what looked to be spontaneous act,
an apparent (quite visibly upset) New York MTA passenger attempted to throw a shoe at the chairman of the MTA.

If appearances can be counted on, an otherwise mild mannered passenger was compelled to abandon decorum
and become (an attempted) shoe slinging spaz. During his inept endeavor, he could clearly be heard saying,
"This shoe is for you!". An apt catch phrase for the next copy cat? One can only hope.

In a November 5th post it was written that the november presidential election produced a clear winner.
While this is still true, I will not be conviced that that winner (or anyone else) will become president
until the person takes the oath of office.

While it would take an unlikely and unprecedented sequence of events to prevent the current president-elect
from becoming President it is not out of the realm of possibility (leaving the current President to retain the
office for the foreseeable future).

To be clear, this writer is not in any way, shape or form predicting such an outcome.

But because I do understand (however unlikely) such an outcome could occur, on the outside chance
that it does, I want to be able to (with credibilty) say "I told you so". That and only that, is the reason
for this blog to express such a concept.

12-17-2008
Hanging around at a friend's business the other day (as I do from time to time), a salesman
(huckster would be more accurate) showed up, hawking his employer's services. Let me
tell you, this bozo was slick. As I told him, they trained him well. He used many of the angles
and sales tactics which at one time or another, many of us have been subjected to.

Had it been my business and me being pitched to, it would have been one of those times
when with some pleasure, I get to say things like, "what part of no don't you understand"
and "do I stutter". This blockhead was so slick that it was only after he had left, that
I realized he had misrepresented himself and why he was there when he introduced himself.
A lie is a poor way to introduce one's self   [Star Trek TOS-28].

In a past post in this blog, it is written that things are better when people are nice
to each other. The incident described in this post, and others like it, are the exception.
Occasionally there are those times when it is just more effective to be caustic and antagonistic.
For example, when some cold canvassing clown is trying to hustle a buck from you.

And from the video clips you just can't see enough of department, at a press conference
in Iraq, an Iraqi reporter can be seen hurling his shoes (one at a time) at President Bush.

Not since Mike Milbury (at the time a member of the Boston Bruins hockey team)
climbed into the stands at Madison Square Garden and beat a New York Rangers fan
with his own shoe, have I seen a more entertaining incident which involved footwear.

12-15-2008
As a blogger, I have been contemplating a concept for some time which is now
being expressed in this blog. In some cases, or depending on how or when the
term is used, 'conspiracy theory' is an oxymoron (Illinois Governor Blagojevich's
arrest on among other things, conspiracy charges is a apt example of the term
'conspiracy theory' being an oxymoron).

If there is a known conspiracy and it can be proven, then it is not theory.

The mass media induces the general population through their propaganda machine,
to react negatively when we hear or read the term 'conspiracy theory'. Despite
the fact that conspiracies do exist, conventional wisdom derides people who
speculate on the existence of conspiracies.

From what this writer has been able to ascertain, a so-called conspiracy theorist
(as labeled by promoters of conventional wisdom) is a person which compiles available
information pertinent to conventional and unconventional wisdom to derive a conclusion.

If the conclusion does not align with the prescribed conventional wisdom, that person
is then labeled as a conspiracy nut. This is ironic. Often conclusions provided by
such people are substantially more plausible than explanations disseminated by
official sources (more plausible when analyzed without the prejudices of a
pre-existing personal belief structure or the standard spoon fed paradigm).

The entry will conclude with a quote from Arthur Schopenhauer:

"All truth passes through three stages.
    First it is ridiculed.
    Second it is violently opposed.
And third it is accepted as self-evident".

Here in New Hampshire, Thursday into Friday morning we got hit hard by a severe ice storm.
This ice storm is the worst I have ever seen in this area. Needless to say and as expected,
we experienced a power outage, which also knocked out our cable tv and cable internet
access. Which in and of its self, is irritating. But in the neighborhood where we reside, all the
electricity, telephone and cable television lines are underground.

Given that fact, it agitates the F'ing crap out of me that we should loss power at all
(telephone service was not at all interrupted). And yes, I do have a rudimentary understanding
of the logistics of electricity distribution, but in no way whatsoever does it alleviate my agitation
regarding this issue, considering there are no power lines to be knocked down where we live.

The power outage (in our neighborhood) lasted 60 hours (2 and a half days). Cell phone service
was lost for about 18 hours. The cable tv and internet access outage lasted more than three days.
As stated previously, the land line telephone was unaffected throughout this ordeal. Additionally,
it was reported that in New Hampshire, 400,000 customers had lost electricity. Some folks on the
other side of town, it has been said, will be without power for a week or longer.

I got a first hand report that utility crews from Maryland were restoring power in the Nashua area.
Apparently the damage done by the storm was not restricted to power lines and utility poles. Other
electrical infrastructure such as transformers and the like also suffered storm related damage.

It can not be understated, the degree to which our society depends on a steady supply of
electricity. My brother-in-law (my sister's husband) said he saw people fighting at a gas
station where they live (about 30 klicks due west of here). A couple of people fighting at a
fuel retailer underscores the extent of the ugliness which would occur during a more
widespread and/or more prolonged power outage.

Hats off, high fives and kudos to all the utility workers involved in the power restoration
process in this, and near by states. They have been working hard, in some adverse conditions
and without them, we would be forced to seek shelter else where. God bless them all!

Considering what history (and common sense) teaches us of Chicago politics, no informed person
should be surprised about the arrest Illinois' governor. The idea has been floated on national
talk radio that it also represents the first scandal of the incoming administration. This blog
would argue in favor of such an idea given that it is the president-elect's Senate seat which
is alleged to have been "up for sale".

A scandal erupting, before a new President is sworn in, as far I am aware is unprecedented
(scandals which have erupted during a presidential candidacy do not apply). There are claims and
denials about who spoke with whom about what, and what had been discussed. This writer simply
can not accept that there is no dubious component to at least some of the claims being made by
a number of people, related to the filling of the soon to be vacant Illinois Senate seat.

Despite the Illinois governor being center of the investigation, this scandal directly or indirectly,
involves the president-elect. Readers of this blog should not be at all surprised by this.
See this blog's 11-10-2008 post (even if it is a slight stretch).

This entry pertains to the arrest yesterday of the governor of Illinois on corruption charges.
Some guy (a caller) on the radio today said something interesting, so it will be repeated here:
"How much does a United States Senate seat cost?"

On February 18, 2009, by , all television broadcasters will discontinue
broadcasting their signals in analog and will broadcast in digital only.

Why are we switching to DTV? An internet search for exactly that question yielded
a consistent result. The explanation pretends to be specific but is actually ambiguous.

Given the way reality is formatted and packaged for us, nothing can or should be
accepted at face value. The purpose driving the federal government's forced conversion
of all television broadcast signals from analog to digital remains unclear.

Recently enough, this blog spoke of the of the 'big 3' auto makers being on Capitol Hill
looking for a "hand out". It seems that was a poor choice of words. It would have been
more accurate to have indicated they were looking for government financial assistance loans.
Semantics perhaps, however, that is not the point of this blog entry.

There is another side of the issue regarding the failure of those companies, which can be
summed up in two words. Manufacturing capacity (which realistically does not even begin
to address the economic 'trickle down' which emanates from the auto industry). This blog
could go into lengthy dissertation about how the loss of such manufacturing capacity should
be represented as a potential national security issue (in the short and long term).

This entry follows up this blog's 12-01-2008 post on the Mumbai attacks. Today there are reports
that two Indian nationals have been arrested in connection with the attacks. Also reported was
that one of the men is some kind undercover operative (consistent with a false flag premise)
and authorities are working to have him released (a later report said he had no connection
to the attacks...). Backwardness. Synchronicity and Coincidence in Mumbai

Today the price of gasoline is the same as I paid for it 18 years ago, $1.66. Back then,
irked me it did, the fact the price had risen to that level, Now $1.66 sounds much more
reasonable than it did then considering some places I have visited a only a few
months ago, had prices well over $4 a gallon. A not so insignificant curiosity.

A few more thoughts on the credit crisis, which has been many years in the making.
In the last (about) 30 or 40 years, unsound  monetary policy  and reckless government
spending have combined with wanton corporate greed to create the financial mess this nation
is now in. However those are not the only contributing factors.

The American people, through generations of ignorance and complacency, have allowed
a corrupt system which does not function in our best interests, to remain in place.
(The American people were especially guilty of inaction when they allowed "agents
of the government" to steal gold from them "under the guise of law", via Presidential
Executive Order 6102 more commonly known as the Gold Confiscation of 1933).

So when the economy soars into a nightmarish hyperinflationary spiral or the financial
system finally does collapse and it is announced that the United States of America is
bankrupt and all banks will temporarily close while a new system is put into place
which will likely wipe out a considerable amount of the wealth of the American people,
do not be surprised. If there is a more positive potential outcome (which is feasible)
for the long term, this blog would like to hear it.

Recent events which took place in Mumbai (Bomb Bay) India, present this blog
an opportunity to explore the topic of precision False Flag attacks. One point
must be made clear: This blog is not saying the Mumbai attacks were a false flag
attack, however the possibility does exist. Either way the pabulum the mass media will
spoon feed the masses, will in no way, reveal all the truth there is.

False flag attacks are perpetrated for the express purpose of implementing a sequence of
events known as a Problem-Reaction-Solution scenario (the attacks being the Problem).
The goal of the reaction part is to influence public opinion in a specific direction.
The solution part is what can and will be implemented once public opinion has been
successfully maneuvered into the proper direction by the manufactured problem.

Once again historical precedent must be cited. The event most generally accepted as a
false flag attack (conventional wisdom rears its ugly head again) is the 1933 burning
of the German Parliament building. History teaches that Hitler and his buddies,
burned the Reichstag and with some success, blamed the enemies of the Nazi party.

So who benefits most from Pakistan being blamed for the Mumbai attacks?

Problem: Pakistani terrorists in India. Reaction: Indian people demand action.
Solution: A disruption of the peace process between India and Pakistan and the
potential of increased Indian military aggression toward Pakistan. Conclusion:
Perhaps a radical faction within the Indian military stands to gain the most,
from the Mumbai attacks. Whoever benefits, there was more going on in Mumbai
than the indiscriminate killing of people. It should be noted that, considering the
political climate in the region, this scenario is just one possibility of many,
which could have motivated the (potential false flag) Mumbai attacks.

One must ask if what has been described in this post, is any more strange than
what is reported to have happened regarding the Mumbai attacks?

It is the guess of this blog, no matter what is revealed by the investigation
of the Mumbai attacks, the long term consequences will ultimately prove to be
troublesome for the country of Pakistan.

During the last 40 years, many thousands of pictures of the planet Mars, have been imaged
by a number of probes sent by several earth based space agencies. Some of those pictures
show things we would expect to see (expected things reflect conventional wisdom) such as
dirt, rocks, terrain, etc.. Then there are those pictures which show images of things
conventional wisdom dictates, should not be there. Like piece of wood for example.

This picture shows what looks like a railroad tie size piece of wood (my guess is petrified wood).
The image also shows the indication that water once flowed around the wood (either floating it
to a resting spot or by exposing the buried artifact).

This picture is archived on the NASA/JPL Mars Rovers web site along with 112,860 others,
not hidden from public view but right in plain sight for any one to see. After knowing where
to look, it took only a minute to navigate through the Mars Rovers (the Opportunity rover)
web site to find the archived image (as opposed to just clicking an already provided link).
The NASA/JPL commentary of the group of pictures makes no mention of the anomaly.

As with so many other images from Mars which show unconventional things, this too requires
further investigation. Be assured there will be none. Assuming the image was not posted
more recently and back dated (as a covert leak) it was posted on the web 4 1/2 years ago.

Such an image begs further explanation. Again be assured, there will be none. There never is.

Mass media coverage here in the states, of the credit crisis in Iceland has been sparse.
A near-riot and parliament besieged: Iceland boiling mad at credit crunch

Is this the reason for the rash of government bailout bandaids being given out? Thousands
of people protesting in Iceland, as a per capita ratio, equates to millions in the U.S..

11-24-2008
Today's blog is a continuation of my rant about the financial system meltdown.
As expected (although not predicted) bailout fever appears to be contagious.
More and more corporate entities are lining up looking for their share of bailout money.

Last week as we all saw on tv, the CEOs of Chrysler, Ford and General Motors
were on Capitol Hill, all looking for a hand out. All indications are that those clowns
had no plan (clue?) for what their respective companies would do with the money if
the Congress were to approve their requests.

Even more stupid, they all extravagantly roll into town in corporate jets,
while crying poor mouth and begging for a hand out. Now we find CITI GROUP
is looking for and will receive financial assistance from the federal government.

The big 3 auto makers, CITI bank and the other companies getting money from
the government, will not be able to resolve their financial woes with federal funds.
The idea of essentially just throwing money at their financial problems, is not
going to correct years of systemic problems. Increasing cash flow is an ill
conceived remedy and at best a short term fix.

Moreover, I still think most people do not understand there is no money.
I also think there are those who do understand but are apathetic to the long term
implications creating excessive, unsustainable debt. All the bailout money exists
only as debt (the creation of new debt is not money). Debt is an idea which
substitutes as money but in reality is nothing but 1's and 0's in a computer.

Identifying the creation of new debt as money (creating debt without the hard
currency to back it up) is precisely how the current financial system meltdown
came into existence. This point is not being addressed by corporate or government
leaders in any way, shape or form. This round of financial bailouts are at best,
smoke and mirrors gimmicks and at worst are blatant theft.

Debt is not money. Debt is a financial liability owed by one party to another.
Debt has placed the American people into an infinite loop of indentured servitude.
Under the current system, there can be no end to the servicing of debt, ever.

As this blog is being written, the President-elect is on television, announcing
his new economic team (that is what the caption on tv read). In the context
of this blog, one must ask; New boss...same as the old boss?

This story appeared on the bloomberg.com business news web site yesterday:
U.S. Government Pledges Top $7.7 Trillion to Ease Frozen Credit

A little simple arithmetic shows that figure to be more than 10 times the
cost of the $700 billion Troubled Asset Relief Program, more commonly known
as the 'bailout package'. It must be reitterated - money which does not exist.

Repeating the same policies which created the financial crisis and expecting
a different result is not logical. However these policies and bailouts,
are not meant to resovle the crisis but to push back the date of the
inevitable complete system failure (collapse).

Fighting bad debt with new debt, sounds much like robbing Peter to pay Paul.

This blogger can confirm this blog has now been randomly indexed on the Google search engine.
However a similar query of ten other internet search engines yielded no results. At least
half of those other search engines do have other pages from this web site indexed.
Just a few more facts for the insignificant curiosity department.

This is an unanticipated follow-up to the last post. The internet rarely disappoints.
A third person from the aforementioned web forum has introduced yet another component
(natural disaster, which I suppose could also be a stand alone prediction) to the already
existing forecast of peril. Why is this blog not surprised.

11-20-2008
This post is a rant about an issue, while insignificant in scope, still bugs me.
There is a web site which serves as a forum for its members to post on a wide variety
of topics. There is a recurring theme of posts on the site which could be accurately
characterized as forecasts of peril. These prognostications generally address
a short term time frame (a year or less) and often include a date.

The issue this blog has with that theme of posts is simple. People put these things
on the web, the date comes then goes and nothing remotely close to what was predicted
occurs. Normally this blog would not take issue with this fact. However due to the
quantity and frequency of the these failed attempts to divine the future, this blog
is taking time to grumble about the consistent failure of the lunatic ravings of that
web site (and others) to produce accurate forecasts of future events.

Typically those posts speak of unconventional outcomes to events which generally
produce a conventional outcome.(This blog does not over look the likely possibility
that sometimes such forecasts are based on information provided by seemingly reliable,
unreliable sources).

The most recent post reviewed by this blogger covers a time frame from early December
to early February 2009. If the event(s) in that post were to occur, this blog will
not be able claim surprise (having indeed been warned).

With that said, this blog would be quite shocked, if this specific forecast were to
prove accurate. To be fair it must be said that in an earlier post on the same web site,
a second person posted conjecture very similar to the primary point of the more recent
post. Two people saying the same thing, one speculating the other predicting. This blog
asserts the consistency of the two posts to be a moot point as both analyses will be
proven incorrect.

This blog sees no need to delineate the details of the outlined sequence of events.
If these events do play out as described, readers will know this just by watching
the evening news. You will be observing something taking place which is unprecedented
in the history of this nation, which would be divisive and intensely controversial.
(Probably resulting in wide spread civil unrest of some sort).

If such events do materialize (a low probability outcome), this blog will indeed
acknowledge its error in a future post, referencing this post and my error.

On the issue of climate change, this blog has been able to discern there is one
important fundamental truth regarding the global warming debate. All too often
political agendas supplant the reality on the ground. There are people with self
serving interests, which continue to advance a specific point of view, that
typically conflicts with empirical data. This equates to "science by proclamation",
representing a 'don't bother me with the facts' attitude.

The above described condition substantially detracts from the credibility of those
who argue for reduction of industrial and consumer green house gas emissions.
What does it all mean when broken down into the simplest terms?

Just more people, who right or wrong, are trying to change the world.

For a related story click on this link: The world has never seen such freezing heat
This is the link to the article but the page has a "script error" and
was maxing out my CPU usage, so follow the link at your own risk!

On an unrelated note, there has been some mass media coverage of people
in the state of California protesting a perceived civil rights issue.
Those are more people, for better or worse, trying to change the world.

This blog has once mentioned symbolism. In our daily lives we are bombarded with
a wide variety of symbolism and think nothing of it. Then there are times when one can
be sufficiently astute to recognize when symbolism is being displayed but the observer lacks
the insight to decode the symbolism. Was election night 2008 was such a time?

Attire as a symbolic coordinated message?      Analysis of a symbolic coordinated message?

There are those times when a "cigar is just a smoke". Which is it here, smoke or symbolism?

Today this blog delves into the realm of minutia. The other day while roaming around the local
Hess Express store, could not help but notice the display of Tums® Antacid, sandwiched in
between the coffee burners and the cappuccino machine. What ever else, an insignificant curiosity.

Not so insignificant is the price of gasoline. At its highest here $3.999 a gallon where i buy it.
Now it is half that at $1.999 per gallon, which is twice what I paid January 2002, $0.999 per.

Another aphorism most are likely familiar with, the road to hell is paved with good intentions
comes to mind after reading this: Google predicts spread of flu using huge search data
"New site claims to be able to raise the alarm over flu outbreaks
up to two weeks in advance of existing public services
"

It takes little imagination to see how something like this could feed on people's concerns and fears,
inadvertently inducing mass panic about something which does not exist. Never mind the fact that for
more than three and a half years, this website has been posting links to mass media news stories
of potential future flu pandemic.

This blog is not intended to be cynical (at least in this post). Readers of this blog may note
a somewhat regular use of the term 'historical precedent'. The obvious historical precedent for
mass media incited panic is the 1938 radio broadcast of the H.G. Wells War Of The Worlds.

That was achieved with a primitive radio broadcast. Now dare imagine the effectiveness
of current technology to induce mass hysteria. But I digress, that topic is for another time.

Paul Broun, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives (R-Georgia), recently delivered some
rather shocking commentary regarding some of the future plans of the incoming administration.

While I do not necessarily agree with Mr. Broun's comments, there is sufficient cause to store
what he said into memory for future reference, just in case his analysis proves to be accurate.

Readers are likely familiar with Murphy's Law. Lesser known is Murphy's Other Law.
If something is mentioned and it is bad it happens. If it is good it goes away.
If one were to apply Murphy's Other Law to Representative Broun's comments...

These days in which the plagues of political correctness and relativism are the rule not
the exception, this blog contends the possibilities of other types of high strangeness
which could occur, should not be underestimated.

Can't happen here you say? Think again folks. It can happen anytime, anywhere.

Here is something else this blog will not let pass without comment. There is a high ranking
U.S Treasury Department official who's name is Neel Kashkari (pronounced Cash -Carry).
The first time I read his name on a website, I honestly thought it was a joke. Then just the
other day, there he was on C-SPAN (cable tv) speaking somewhere about something.

How strange is it that a high ranking U.S Treasury Department official would have a name
which sounds like a method of transporting money? This blog finds it an ironically perfect fit.

To complete this trifecta post, remember the $700 billion bailout package? Remember how the U.S.
Secretary of the Treasury expressed the extreme urgency with which the "rescue plan" needed
to be enacted into law? That was more than a month ago.

Today the Treasury Secretary indicated the money will not be used as originally planned.
That indicates the funds are still available and by extension, indicates no urgent need.
Clearly the finer points of high finance elude me. Con jobs do not.

Last week I was willing to give the incoming Administration a wait and see attitude.
This week I snapped out of it and returned to reality. Since I reached voting age during
the Reagan Administration, that will be the baseline used for this post.

Each Administration has used dirty tricks to achieve its goals. In doing so each subsequent
Administration has raised the bar for the next, resulting in steady upward trend of contemptible
bad things (corrupt policy initiatives and evil deeds) they have been able to get away with.

Thus one could extrapolate that the incoming Administration will be the most flagrant
threat to, and usurpation of, Truth, Justice and the American Way yet seen.

Once again its time to cite historical precedent and play fill in the blank: _______ Youth...

The historical precedent for this is just too obvious. What will be the next citable historical precedent?
Kristallnacht 2009? How does the aphorism go...Those who forget history are Doomed to repeat it.
One can only hope these things are being over analyzed in this blog.

The American people are simply unaware of the level of penetration of  foreign infiltrators into the
Legislative and Executive branches of U.S. government and likely the intelligence agencies as well.
It has been going on for decades. I would like to believe that it is not true. That would be naive.

All indications are that it will continue unabated. So what should be done to correct the situation?
Maybe if we all continue to remain unaware and ignore the problem, it will just go away.
Then again maybe not. New White House chief of staff picked: Israeli Rahm Emanuel

The 2008 Presidential election results are in and there is a clear winner,
and there was a concession speech. But there is still the issue of vote and
election fraud (which I am sure will remain forever unaddressed).

The question is, since the Democratic party candidate won the election,
did the Democratic party machine perpetrate vote fraud in sufficient
quantity to overcome Republican party vote fraud?

With that said, the best thing now for this nation is to get to January 20, 2009
without incident. Also to get rid of the thousands (no exaggeration) of campaign
signs that are currently littering the landscape of the county in which I reside.

As for as the outcome of the election, the one thing I really take issue with
is the mindless fanaticism many people have had (and still do) toward the winner.
There is historical precedent of such devoted fanaticism and though it may be
a matter of opinion, seems to me that it nearly always ends badly.

And on a related note, a person commented to me today how everyone here at work
knows everything about the country now. My response was that they do not know enough
to comprehend how little they actually do know.

11-04-2008
Its is now election day so as you vote, consider these words of another internet writer:

"Republicans and Democrats are two sides of the same coin...They are the black cats
and the white cats that the mouse kingdom elects to rule over the mouse kingdom".

We are all bombarded daily with various methods and techniques of mass media persuasion.
After years of being subjected to such mind warping propaganda, I have developed theory.

Twentieth century history is replete with examples of implausible narrations of terrible events.
Backwardness Theory as I call it, hypothesizes that, what ever we the general public
are being told is the explanation for any specific (often destructive) high level event,
something much closer to the opposite of what is being reported is the actual truth.

Truth is not perception. Truth is fact and we are seldom told all the facts.
If you were to know the truth, the truth would make you angry. Ignorance is bliss.

10-26-2008
And now for a few words about political polls.

It seems to me that political polls have no real value other than as tools of
mass media persuasion. There also does appear to be an issue with regard to the
accuracy (the mathematically correct reflection of truth) of political polls, as results
can be influenced toward a specific outcome by selection of the demographic sample.

Then you get what we had here yesterday. Early in the afternoon, two young men
knocked on my door, and me, not feeling particularly antisocial that day, opened
the door to see why these two fools were bothering me.

Long story short, they were interested in knowing if I was registered to vote,
they were shilling for a particular Presidential candidate and asking polling
questions about which candidates that I would be interested in voting for.

Poor misguided youth. Because I believe their intent to have been sincere,
I spared them the ripping up one side and down the other they should have received
and gave them coherent yet vague responses to their predictable questions.
As it turned out, they were just happy that someone had actually talked to them.
(People should really read in between the lines here,
things are better when people are nice to each other)

As for the polling data they got from me...

As the news media continues to perpetuate the debate between the two Presidential
candidate's tax plans, nobody seems to be at all interested in the fact that this
debate between tax plans is just a smoke and mirrors distraction from fiscal reality.

The Federal government consistently spends more money than it receives in tax
revenue in every fiscal year. That difference between income and spending is made
up for by the government borrowing yet more money which simply is added onto the
already existing multi-trillion dollar national debt.

With that in mind, it seems logical to me to assert that for any candidate to propose
to raise taxes on any individual or business entity, is nothing more than a gimmick
or trick designed to elicit the favor of people like you, me and yes, Joe the plumber.

It does not seem unreasonable to this writer that if an elected official were genuine in
their desire to stimulate the economy, they would reduce all tax rates across the board.

The revenue shortfall could be made for up by less spending (like that will ever happen)
or with more borrowing, adding onto an existing national debt that mathematically, can never
be paid off anyway. (All payments currently made on the national debt are servicing only
the interest owed on the debt, not the principal.)

Let the workers and businesses of this nation keep more of their hard earned money.

Fast forward to November 5th 2008, if there is going to be one state where the
election results are going to be in dispute similar to Florida in the year 2000,
there have been sufficient queues given that we can expect that state to be Ohio.

This evening begins the 2008 World Series. I predict the Tampa Bay Rays will win
the 2008 World Series, going from 2007's worst team to 2008's best team.
updateThe Philadelphia Phillies are the 2008 World Series Champions.

I have been trying to resist commenting in any way about 'Joe the plumber'
but despite my own idea to dismiss him as irrelevant, Joe is in fact relevant.
When I Googled 'Joe the plumber', it returned 1,930,000 hits.

When I see the Christian Science Monitor run a story with the byline:
Colin Powell versus Joe the Plumber. Who's more powerful?
one must acknowledge the political impact Joe is having on the presidential race.
Joe seems to have hit a nerve with somebody somewhere and it does seem that
Colin Powell was listening close enough to see a chance to seize his own opportunity.

Joe has, at least in my world, become a working class hero. He has done so by being
the right person in the right place at the right time, armed only with a simple question.

Good luck Joe, your gonna need it.

Today the U.S. Supreme Court side stepped rendering a decision in an Ohio lawsuit
filed against the Secretary of State of Ohio regarding potential voter registration fraud,
ruling that the plaintiff had no Legal Standing. A clear example of  Judicial Inactivism?

Also today, reports say the FBI is investigating unspecified allegations of vote fraud.

   "The avalanche has already begun,
it is to late for the pebbles to vote."

The upcoming national election is not about who is the best choice
to lead this nation, it is not about the candidates and their personalities.

Presidential elections here have devolved into what I characterize as
a kind of stereotypical symbolism of ideology, instead of what it should be,
selecting the best course to pursue to improve our society and our nation.

All to often, as occurs with far to many people, votes are cast based on what are
purely personal psychological needs, which in the simplest terms represent either:

1) A need to soothe some form of internal guilt (a neurosis) or,

2) A fear response (sometimes manifesting as hate).

Politics is a religion because people react to it as such, and that is reflected
through the neurotically driven ideologies influencing many voters election choices.

10-13-2008
...And the current credit crisis is highlighting a fact which I have
been aware of for quite sometime: Despite the steady rise over
the last 40+ years of home prices, a house is only worth as much
as a bank will loan someone else to buy it.

Now that we are seeing (and will continue to see) more and more
people which possess upside down mortgages (owing more on a
mortgage than a property is worth)...we stumble into a problem in logic:

How much is a house worth (in monetary terms) if nobody can borrow
the money to buy it, and/or an owner can not borrow money against
the equity value because that equity value has been negatively revaluated?

For example, an guy with a credit rating above 750 can not get a $7000 loan
to replace his defunct home furnace because of a debt to equity ratio issue.

And on a related note, in 1802, Thomas Jefferson issued this warning:

"If the American people ever allow private banks to control
the issue of currency, first by inflation, then by deflation,
the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will
deprive the people of all property until their children
wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered."

FYI people, the Federal Reserve Bank system is privately owned and issues our currency.
The United States Treasury prints money for the FRBS, issued as Federal Reserve Notes,
which has proven to be the most lucrative financial swindle in all of recorded history.

And I should have posted this a few weeks ago when I realized the factors
in play and the forces at work...the current and future status of Sarah Palin.

In her various capacities in the state of Alaska, it has been proven that
her Jedi powers are indeed strong but in recent weeks it has become apparent
that the lords of the dark side are exerting influence upon her.

These dark lords view McCain at best as a transitional figure and see
Sarah Palin as the future (the 1 and only point where I and them may agree).

So what we got here is a woman that will have to decide which path she will
pursue as her destiny, a Luke Skywalker path (as a force of good) or the
Anikin Skywalker path (in the service of the evil dark lords).

Assuming that she herself is more than a 'flash in the pan', only time
will tell which path she has chosen....may the Force be with you Sarah.

Today the media is saying that this is the worst week for Wall Street ever.
What we are seeing with this downward stock market trend is the predictable,
planned collapse of the stock market.

For more than 20 years, the stock market has been fraudulently inflated and
artificially propped up by, what in its most simple terms, are nothing less than
government sanctioned criminal enterprises (the FRBS and Wall Street).

Also I hear talk of nationalizing some banks. If that happens, our nation will be
yet another step closer to becoming the USSA, the United Socialist State of Amerika.

On the day when Congress failed to pass the $700 billion bailout package (so called rescue plan),
the Dow Jones Industrial average went down 777 points. I saw that and thought, where have I seen
that number, 777 before? It was on a slot machine! Slot machine is a perfect metaphor for the
stock market: you put your money in and you takes your chances...do you feel lucky? Well do ya?

About Truthfulness
We are all bombarded daily with various methods and techniques of mass media persuasion.
After years of being subjected to such propaganda, I have developed a operative theory which
in part, attempts to introduce a better measure of credible plausibility for the seemingly
ridiculous explanations that are often given to the general population for significant events.

For a suitable example of a ridiculous explanation, I copied some text from a essay titled:
Why Americans Will Believe Almost Anything

"An airliner can be flown with professional precision by
a group of crazed amateurs into a 100-story building and
can cause that building to collapse on its own footprint. Twice."

That is as ridiculous an explanation as it sounds for events that actually occurred.

The truth is three buildings collapsed onto their own footprint that day. WTC building 7 imploded
later that afternoon, for no apparent reason. We saw 3 buildings come down that day on live television.

When the south tower came down, my first thought was amazement at how the collapse resembled
a  controlled demolition.   Now  watch this video clip of WTC 7 collapsing.

If you did not know that it was a WTC 911 collapse, one would think it was just another random
controlled demolition of a building like so many others we've in the past. I repeat,  Watch This Video.
Still think as we have been told, that WTC 7 was not a controlled demolition?

Twentieth century history is replete with examples of implausible narrations of terrible events.

Backwardness Theory as I call it, hypothesizes that, what ever we the general public
are being told is the explanation for any specific (often destructive) high level event,
something much closer to the opposite of what is being reported is the actual truth.

Truth is not perception. Truth is fact and we are seldom told all the facts.

About This Blog
This blog has not been not created to be agreed or disagreed with although readers are free
to do either at their leisure. This blog is a place in which this writer can articulate concepts
without distraction or conversational interuptions with the added benefit of hypertext links.
Readers of this blog will get some idea of what one could think of particular issues and concerns.

They should also understand it does not matter what views this blog accepts as true.
People will behave in accordance with what they think, not what others think. This is why
mass media persuasion is used to condition people's thoughts and influence their opinions.

I have concluded, that nearly all of the fundamental precepts on which our civilization and
societies are based, have been fundamentally corrupted and distorted to serve the self centered,
myopic agenda's of the ruling class. Their intent is to deceive the world population into believing
that reality is something other than what it actually is, a global mind control exercise.

Economics (which includes but is not limited to, banking, stock markets and control of currencies),
education, government, history, politics, religion, science, space exploration as well as
the way reality is being portrayed to us by all forms of  mass media, is deception.

The long term agenda of this forced perception of reality on the global population seems to be
the subjugation of the world's population by means Orwellian system of global governance
that will be set upon us, if not by consent then by force.

While aspects of this blog could be considered alarmist, the idea of being alarmist and then later being
proven wrong is not the worst possible outcome. To have known and not blogged would have been
safe but would offer no yardstick to measure conjecture versus the reality...in about...4, 8, 10 years.

Thus the inspiration for this blog.
