Web Based FTP (BETA)

Our web based FTP client is still in BETA. This means there are still bugs in it, and therefore it might not be compatible with some web browsers.

The following browsers are known to be compatible with WPC Web Based FTP.

Crazy Browser 1.0 (Windows), Internet Explorer 6 or below (Windows), Safari 1.3 or below (Mac) are known to have display and functional problems. Safari 2.0 or above on OSX 10.4 has not been tested yet.

When you are ready to try our WPC Web Based FTP, click the following link.

Best Way To Organize

The easiest way for you to organize your photos is to put them into seperate folders.  You can name the folders by size, finish, quantity, and special instructions, for examples: "4x6Matte1each","5x7GlossyWhiteBorders1each","WalletsMatte2pairsEach" ,"4x6MatteSloppyBorders5each", etc.

This way, we know exactly which image needs what kind of prints.  It is ok to put the same image in different folders.

Another way is to give us a list of which image needs what kinds of print. A text file would work fine for that.

Things to Remember

  • Try to leave NO SPACE in the file name or the folder name.  If you have to seperate the words, use underscore " _ " instead.  Also, always start a file and folder name with a letter or number.
  • We can print from JPEG, TIFF, GIF, PSD, and BMP. Make sure that the file is 8bits/channel.  We cannot print from file that is 16bits/channel yet.
  • The DPI (dot per inch) of your image is not important.  What's important is the image dimension in pixel.  Please refer to the Digital Services page for more information.
  • sRGB color space file can get a better match on print than Adobe RGB 1998.
  • We correct all color, density and contrast to our best judgement by default; if you do not want any or part of the corrections to be done, please let us know when you place the order.
  • If you need assistance, please call 206-545-4521 during normal business hours. :)

Why FTP?
Simply because you can upload the photos you wanted to be printed from your computer without making a trip to WPC.  It saves you time and money

Is FTP safe?
Yes it is. The only person who can access your files on our FTP is someone who has your login information (eg. yourself and our staff).

How much space do I have for uploading my photos?
You have an infinite amount of space to upload.  We will keep your digital files for at least one month from the date you uploaded them.  This way you can order reprints at any time.

Does it cost me anything to setup a FTP account?
Absolutely not! FTP service is free for all our customers.
