Pure Excitement Comics is maintained by Bill Nolan.

Welcome to the 27th big issue of Pure Excitement Comics, the number one source for original Golden Age comic book reprints on the Web!
On tap first this month is Dr. Nemesis, from Super-Mystery Comics vol. 4 no. 1, published in January of 1944 by Ace Periodicals, Inc. Dr. Nemesis appeared in Lightning Comics vol. 1 no. 6 through vol. 3 no. 1 and Super-Mystery Comics vol. 3 nos. 3, 4 & 6 and vol. 4 no. 1.
The second feature this month is The Marksman in a tale from Smash Comics no. 37, published in November of 1942 by Everett M. Arnold (Quality Comics). The Marksman appeared in Smash Comics 33-58.
In the final slot this month is Tabu, Wizard of the Jungle,, from Jungle Comics no. 15 (published in March of 1941 by Glen-Kel Publishing, Inc./Fiction House). Tabu appeared in Jungle Comics 1-41, 43-56, 58-117, 119-139 & 141, as well as Kaanga Comics no. 9.
SPECIAL NOTE: My fourth CD-ROM will be available next week. [Editor's Note: it is now available!] It is a "Double Feature" disk starring Pyroman and the American Eagle, each in seven great stories. A special bonus Capt. Future story rounds out the disk, bringing the total to 15 stories. The disk will be available for the usual great low price of $10 shipped! When it becomes officially available, more information about the new CD-ROM will be posted at this link! Check back soon!
Just a quick note relating to the new server for this site: if you plan to create a link to one of the stories at some point, please just link to the main index page and let people know in which issue to look. Only the last few issues will be kept on this site due to space considerations. After a while, older issues will be moved to one of my older servers, probably Fortune City, so direct links to stories may fail to work over time.
All stories are believed to be in the public domain*. If you enjoy this issue, be sure to write to let me know (it's also OK to write if you don't like this issue...all feedback is appreciated). You will find a link to my E-mail on the page following the stories or on this page in the column to the left. And be sure to join my mailing list to find out when I update any portion of my web site!
   * All stories are over 50 years old and believed to be in the public domain. Should a story appear which is not in the public domain and the holder of the copyright is opposed to its inclusion in Pure Excitement Comics, it will be immediately removed from this site upon notification. Pure Excitement Comics does not claim the copyright to any of these stories or characters. Information for this page was found in Howard Keltner's Index to Golden Age Comic Books.
