We've won
the
Million Writers Award for Best
Publisher of Novella-Length Fiction three times in a row. Here's the
notable stories they selected
from 2007. (We're also among the
top 10 online journals in terms of
being most-often chosen by Million Writers for "notable" stories.)
We're giving
$500 to Pat Rushin, the winner of our 2009 Blodgett Waxwing Prize in Literary
Fiction, for his novella, "The Call," and $100 to Andrew Rooney for
his novel-excerpt, "The Fact of Suffering." Congratulations to the
winners, and best wishes to all contestants. The winning manuscripts
will appear in our Spring 2009 issue.
