UPDATE!!!!!!

   We are are elated to report that a reunion has taken place. This past August we received correspondence via this web site from the children's father Norman, and we now have Nick living with us permanently. We have also visited Brittaney, and are able to have regular contact with her. Due to her chosen career path she is unable to join us in our home at this time, but may be able to do so in the future. Words cannot express our joy with this reunion, or for the chance to know and love each other as a family, as we should.

   We would also like to extend a special thanks to the community, police, and Parkplace Outreach Inc. of Savannah, Ga. for their invaluable assistance in this reunion.

The Story.....................

   Welcome to lookingforbritandnick. This site is dedicated to re-uniting a mother and two children whom she was separated from 10 years ago. The mother's name was Cheryl Townsend. She has since re-married and her last name is now Van der Slice. Cheryl is alive and well, and living in the town of Ocean City, Maryland, with her husband (Chris) and her 2 older sons, Chris and Tony. The two younger children are named Brittaney Nicole Townsend, and Nicholas Ryan Townsend. Brit and Nick are presumed to be with their father, Norman Lee Townsend, although their location is not known at this time.

   This family has been needlessly separated for far too long, and Cheryl, Chris, and Tony are all terribly upset by this separation. Each of them has spent time, effort, and finances in an effort to locate and re-connect with Brit and Nicky. Cheryl, Chris, and Tony all want both Brit and Nick to know that they are deeply missed and loved.

   The circumstances which caused or prolonged this agonizing separation are not the focus of this site or our search. Our purpose is to find and re-unite the members of this family that has too long been separated, and deprived of knowing each other, and the love they have all been denied amongst one and other.
