you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your
bodies a living

think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as
though some strange thing
happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of
Christ's sufferings;
that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with
exceeding joy.

he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.
Those Who Are Anxious Backsliders

judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such
things. And thinkest thou
this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same,
that thou shalt escape
the judgment of God?
Romans 14:10-12: But why
dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy
brother? for we shall all
stand before the judgment seat of Christ. For it is written, As I live,
saith
the Lord, every knee
shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. So then every one
of us shall give account
of himself to God.

distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and
gloominess,
a day of clouds and thick
darkness.

shall be required of
thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?

When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I
thought as a child: but
when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see through
a glass, darkly; but then
face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am
known.
Acts 4:13: Now when they

unlearned and ignorant
men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been
with Jesus.

dasheth thy little ones
against the stones.

should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him,

world, but he that
believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

the
good pleasure of his

shew
my power in thee, and
that my name might be declared throughout all the earth. Therefore hath
he
mercy on whom he will
have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth. . . . What if God, willing to
shew his wrath, and to
make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of
