I used a Meade 90mm ETX with 25mm eyepiece and held a Kodak DC4800 to the eyepiece and snapped away (warning: do NOT drink a Rockstar right before this type of activity!).

I also got a little widget to hold the camera and attach to an eyepiece which makes it much easier to use the camera. Here are some lame shots of sun spots using the widget on September 28, 2002. Using the ETX+solar filter with 26mm meade eyepiece and the Kodak DC4800 at 3x zoom afocally.
