RAARAAS is dedicated to all those fine folks not tied to permanent facilities and trapped in urban settings filled with a lust to run wild in open spaces. The principle functions of the society are to grab all your telescope gear and head for the dark, far away places and ponder the heavens. If you like the outdoors and you like the night sky and you need to get away from the big city and bright lights then you might want to be a RAARAAS member.
The only rules are to have fun, help keep the night sky dark, and don't cause trouble. Activities of the society will be posted under the activities link, which will consist of me posting when I'm taking off to the hinterlands or when other members notify me of their adventure plans.
So far there are a grand total of 2 members, me and somebody else. I hereby dub myself RAARAAS president, treasurer, secretary and sergeant of arms. Duties also include cleaning up Chico spew. If you want to join send me an email and declare your self in accordance with the above stated rules. Notify me of excursion plans and I'll post them. Email addresses, names and other member info ( other than updating the member count! ) will not be shared unless requested.
I'm going to make patches and bumper stickers for members, eventually....
