Most tourists who come to Florida are heading at least down to Orlando for Walt Disney World, if not further south. Jacksonville has historically and somewhat crudely been known merely as a "pee stop" on the way down. But for those of you who, like me, are "a migratory lifeform with a tropism for bookstores," you might just want to stop in Jacksonville and take a look at what this surprising city has to offer to the bibliophile.

Please note that this is merely a GUIDE to local used book stores. I am not a book dealer. And just to set your mind at rest, I own no interest in nor do I benefit in any way from any of these book stores or their owners. My only association with them is that I shop at each one from time to time, as money and transportation permit.
