This boat is the result of canoe camping trips I made in 2005 and another in 2006. The design is a 14 foot version of B&B Yacht Designs 12 foot Moccasin Canoe that I built in 2002 and took on the 2006 trip. The boat requirements of the 2005 trip could not be met by the 12 footer due to freeboard restrictions of the canoe circuit management. Graham Barnes of B&B Yacht Designs provided the upsized drawings based on my length, capacity and freeboard requirements for the new boat.
I write these pages in hope that they may encourage those that would like to build a well designed, light weight craft and maybe along the way you'll find some helpful information.
