I had to do the spacer blocks in groups of 25 to 30, limited by the number of clamps available. Took the better part of a week to get them all glued in.

Another section gluing.

They're all in!

Got over to the local marine supply store on the way home from work and picked up the bronze oarlocks and while I was there, looked at the oars they had available. Maybe I'll just whittle some out of a tubafor .......

Now that I have the bronze inserts, I can drill the holes in the oarlock blocks.

Countersunk them down about an eighth inch. I was going to make them flush with the top but decided I didn't want to weaken the oak surface further.

The last of the frames for the seats are in the clamps.

Frames do not extend to the bottom so water won't catch behind them.

I managed to create a suitable design for the breasthook from left-over strips and I am pleased with the look of it.

Glued up and roughed out with the plane

The curved face cut out and ready for final shaping.

And finally in the clamps.
I like that curve it has.

Temporary spreaders clamped in place of seats, almost ready for inwales.
Could varnish be far behind?

Work is progressing fitting the quarterknees to gunwales and transom, upon completion the inwale can be fitted and glued in place. Won't be long before it's time to turn the boat over again, but I think it's going to be a little heavier this time.
