BOY SCOUTS -- CANOEING -- GEOCACHING

Hello! Welcome to my website. Some of you may have visited my website on cybermesa.com previously. Since that site was published, I have moved to Illinois and am now in the process of moving some of that information to my new site and expanding it into other areas of current interest.

Welcome! And thank you for visiting. By way of introduction, my name is Bill Erickson and as an adult, I was active in Scouting in Los Alamos, NM from 1978 to 2005 and in Round Lake, IL since that time. As a youth, I was a member of Troop 77 in Gurnee, Illinois. I always enjoy hearing from fellow scouts and scouters so drop me a line (e-mail to wcerickson@comcast.net)

From here you can

  • View the history of Order of the Arrow Lodge 66 patches
  • Find out about a project to document the history of Boy Scouting in Los Alamos
  • Read about the 'T2K' trip seven of us took in June 2000 canoeing the Boundary Waters Fur Trade Route

2008 DAVID THOMPSON BRIGADE
In 1807, David Thompson discovered Howse Pass and thus a way thru the Canadian Rockies to the Pacific Ocean. The 2008 David Thompson Brigade Society organized and ran a commemorative canoe trip retracing the route Thompson traveled in 1808 to report his finding to the partners of the North West Company at their annual meeting at Ft. William (Thunder Bay, Ontario). Sharon Colht and I participated in this north canoe (26 foot long, 6-10 passenger canoe) trip.
