Chemung Hills Golf Course, Howell

Chemung Hills was a very difficult golf course on this day. You can tell by the scores, especially the net scores. The weather was beautiful, in high 70's, partly sunny, partly cloudy, with just a little bit of a breeze to keep us cool. The golf course was a little dry, especially the rough. If balls hit in the rough, they kept rolling, but the fairways and greens were in very good shape. The first hole is my favorite hole on that course, and only one player parred the hole in this outing. It is a great par 5, downhill tee shot, then fairway bends around a pond on the right, then goes uphill to the green which cannot be seen from the fairway due to a bunker protecting the front of the green. Awesome golf hole. Nobody made par on 5th and 15th holes. Only one person made par on 14th hole, another awesome golf hole, downhill par 4 with creek crossing the fairway at the 150 yard mark.
