You may be asking "What is the Lions Club all about?" The best answer to this question is the Lions Club motto: "We Serve". Founded in 1917, in Chicago, the Lions Club personifies the idea that people working together can accomplish more good than people working separately. Since its origin, Lions has grown to be the largest service organization worldwide. As of February 28, 2007, Lions Clube International had 1, 304, 620 members in 45,033 clubs and 757 districts in 200 countries and geographical locations (Lions Magazine, June, 2007).
The West Deptford Lions Club meets twice each month. Our dinner meetings are held at the Telford Inn on Route 45 in Mantua on the first Tuesday of every month, at 7:00 pm. Our business meetings are held at the Riverwinds Community Center in West Deptford every third Tuesday of the month, at 7:30 pm.
