Richard's Biography

Star Wars was Richard LeParmentier's third film after moving to Britain from the United States in 1975.

His role as Admiral Motti, the Imperial Officer who believed more in the power of his Death Star than the power of The Force earned him a memorable place in what has been voted "The Film of The Millennium".

When Darth Vader raised his finger and Admiral Motti momentarily lost the ability to breathe, movie audiences got their first inkling of the Dark Side.

With the passing of Peter Cushing and Don Henderson, Richard is the last surviving Imperial Officer from the original Star Wars. He has appeared in over fifty films and television shows in Britain and the United States. He has appeared in such international hits as Rollerball, Reds and Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

He now lives in Bath and works as a screenwriter. He has written extensively for the UK film and television industry, the US and for German television. Currently he is developing a television series for the BBC and is writing a feature film.
