Breeders of

Olde English Southdown

Babydoll Sheep

little lamb farm

We are a small, hobby , family farm in South Jersey.  We live on over three acres of land and three years ago we started a discussion about “what to do” with our extra acre and a half.  We talked about breeding dogs, starting with honey bees and many other ideas regarding integrating animals and nature into our world.  I had read a story about Babydoll Sheep in Countryside Magazine in 2002 and I recalled the article and my interest in these sheep.  Soon enough we visited some local breeders and started our world of shepherding with two adult ewes, Madeline and Clementine.  We purchased Smithwick, our white ram along with his buddy, Walter, a wether, from a different farm and our world as Babydoll breeders was begun.

We now shear our own sheep and send out the fleece for processing into natural wool yarn.  We care for our flock of sheep daily and they get lots of love from our family of five—as well as our extended family, neighbors and friends.  Interested in learning more?  Check out the rest of our site (which we are still working on) or email to ask questions!
