10/15/04
The time has arrived to kick off the Centralia Parlor Pickers
Society.  I've been chatting with lots of folks about this and there
seems to be enough interest. There will be a slow old-time jam every
Sunday evening at the Leach home in Centralia. We won't meet when
there is a schedule conflict, such as when John Flory has his monthly
Sunday jam.  We'll take two tunes and play the heck out of them at
a slower than normal tempo until everyone gets 'em.  And then take
the tunes from the previous session and play the heck out of them
too.  After awhile, we'll slowly crank up the tempo until we're playin'
'em all up to speed!  Tunes will start @ 6:30pm. We'll play until about
9:30 or so.  Check back here for news flashes and to see what tunes
have been played.  The first slow jam will be on Sunday, Oct. 24, 2004.
All you'll need to bring is your instrument(s).  Chips and salsa will
be provided as will the finest of box wines.  Any questions?
Email me or give me a call at 360-807-8461.

For our first meeting on the 24th, I suggest two tunes in the key of D,
Jackie Wilson and Big Liza Jane (yes, it's different than the one in A)
