This may have been U dot Conn's most on-target issue.

As multimedia editor, my first job was to learn how to use the department's cameras and iMovie, so I could be of some assistance to the reporters who were working with video. To this end, I made a movie of myself making pasta, (42 mb) to demonstrate photography and editing. I also made a second movie, in an effort to demonstrate how audio could be played under video. (4 mb) I e-mailed a link to this to the class along with a an explanation and a crude diagram.

I set standards for the format and size of videos, to make our web site consistent, and assisted some of the reporters as they edited their video.

As the issue progressed, I also took more of a hand in overseeing the reporters to assist them in meeting deadlines.
