Resumé 1080 WTIC AM As a reporter and news anchor at WTIC AM, Hartford, I cover issues of interest state-wide, and occasionally file stories with CBS Radio News. WTIC 1080 News is unique among Hartford-area radio stations, for its use of live reports from the field. WNPR Although my main duty at WNPR in Hartford was as a board operator and announcer, this part-time job also included some production work for the news department. I often wrote voicers or wraps for the Monday newscasts. On several occasions I filed short wraps or audio for NPR newscasts. I-98 FM/1400 WILI AM I anchored the news on both stations in afternoon drive, in Willimantic, Connecticut. As part of WILI AM’s focus on community reporting, I covered town government and local issues, both over the phone and in the field. I started full-time at WILI in September, 1999. Previously, I worked part-time in the news department. 560 WHYN AM My main responsibilities at WHYN were as a full-time board operator and producer. I also wrote for the news department, conducted phone interviews and cut actualities. 91.7 WHUS FM For two years, I was News Director at WHUS, UConn’s student/community radio station. In charge of a news staff of about 15 volunteers, I also sat on the station's decision-making operations board. My biggest technical achievement was helping to broadcast the station’s air signal on the world wide web. I also filled-in as acting operations manager, the head student position at the station. Awards: 2004 Regional Edward R. Murrow Award for Spot News Coverage, Radio Large Market (as part of a team); 2003 Regional Murrow Award for Feature Reporting; 2003 Associated Press Managing Editors Instant Citation; 2002 Connecticut Associated Press Broadcasters Association Award for Best Feature.
