Margate Man's Military Medal. - Private A. J. Brockman, R.A.M.C., Field Ambulance, was awarded the Military Medal for devotion to duty and especially for bringing in wounded under shell fire. Private Brockman, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Brockman, of 56 Eaton Road, Margate, was one of the first men to leave Margate on the outbreak of the war in August, 1914, and had previously served in the Territorials.
