Our first competition was in the Poconos at the Pocmont Resort.  Let us just say we were a little nervous. Not good nervous, but melt down nervous. We did not know how to enter a ballroom, how to get into proper dance position, how to acknowledge the judge, how to exit the floor; in short, we didn’t know how to DANCE. It showed in our scores - a third in Waltz, Seconds in Fox Trot, Tango and Swing, and a First in Rumba, probably because the judge happened to look at us when we weren’t tripping all over ourselves.  We dedicated ourselves to doing better next time.
