In January 2009 we went to a family wedding on Staten Island.  Not wanting to drive the 90 minute trek home after a night of revelry (and we do revel) we found this little charmer right on the water with a magnificent view of Manhattan, the Verrazano Bridge and the Statue of Liberty.  The place is pretty scruffy, but it is clean and neat.  The suite was inexpensive and the breakfast was pretty bare bones, but it saved us a late night drive back home.
