We stayed at the Mainstay in Cape May back in 1998 -- a wedding gift. It is very nicely appointed, but we never went back, mainly because of the community-style breakfasts.  We just are not into small talk in the morning. We have since found other B&B’s that are more accommodating.

I think this is the General Grant suite. If you check out the current Web site all of the furniture and window treatments have changed.

The wild curtains are still there but I think they have muted the fabric on the furniture and rather toned-down the whole mess.  It was a bit cluttered, Victorian-style.
