We were invited down to Rock Hall on the Eastern Shore of Maryland for an afternoon of sailing on the Chesapeake. We stayed at the Swan Haven, a newly renovated B&B which as of this writing was also for sale. Lovely property, but one enormous gaff -- they have centrally controlled HVAC, which means you have no control over the heating and air conditioning in your own room. We were lucky that it was an unseasonably cool August, or Carmella would have frozen to death.
