San Francisco and Carmel-by-the-Sea

We get to Sunnyvale on business occasionally and take the weekend to explore San Francisco and Carmel.  We never have enough time to see everything, but here are some cool places.  We did a trip to Napa in 1995 in the pre-digital days, so the pictures are not really good enough for this site.

We always go to the Wharf. Yes, it is touristy, but that is what we ARE.

Two bay icons - the Coit Tower and the Transamerica building.

Alcatraz at sunset.  How romantic.

McCormick and Kuleto’s for dinner. The bartender INSISTED on stirring our martinis instead of shaking them.  We suffered through the experience.

Carmel-by-the-Sea, view of Pebble Beach Golf Course.

Courtyard at the Hog’s Breath Inn.

Quaint architecture in Carmel-by-the-Sea.

The Crab House on Pier 39 has great chowda.

Sea Lions sunning themselves.

Another cityscape at sunset.

A famous trolly car at night.

Our favorite pub is Clint Eastwood’s Hog’s Breath Inn.

Bar at the Hog’s Breath Inn.

Carmella at Carmelo St. in Carmel.
