FANGIRL BIO INFO

Name:  Nic

Age: Pushing the big 3-0

 Quote or Motto:

God does not play dice with the universe: He plays an ineffable game of His own devising, which might be compared, from the perspective of any of the other players [i.e. everybody], to being involved in an obscure and complex variant of poker in a pitch-dark room, with blank cards, for infinite stakes, with a Dealer who won't tell you the rules, and who smiles all the time. - Neil ‘n’ Terry, Good Omens

1# Fangirlie Crush of All Time

That’s like asking me which one of my babies I want to rescue from a burning building. Sheesh! I guess since Hugh Jackman actually snogged me, he wins by default.  He’s tricksy, that one.

Short Bio

I hate talking about myself.  No, seriously - damn you, Jessie!  But I do.  Anyway, long story short - born and raised in LA. (the South Bay area specifically - Tarantino country, baby!)  Graduated from USC in 1997 with an exhorbitant amount of film electives that don’t merit a minor, but the knowledge is there, bub.  Been clawing my way through the ranks at the LA Weekly since graduating and am now a full-time promotions and online geek girl, which pays the bills and still allows me to freelance from time to time.  Christ, no one else around here is going to do a pick on The Poseidon Adventure marathon…what would they do without me?!

What made you realize you were a Fangirl?

The fact that I had Harrison Ford as Indy on my bedroom wall when I was six would have been an early indicator.  But when my first real boyfriend first told me he loved me and I reflexively responded with “I know” - that might have clinched it.

If you could be any character in any movie or TV show ever made, who would it be and why?

Slick already hollered dibs on Ellen Ripley, didn’t she?  Damn.  I mean, I could give the same answer but that’d be boring.  Let’s see - I know, I’d be Newt all grown-up in the far-superior fourth Alien film that would have resulted if they’d done Alien 3 MY way.  Oy, that sounds egotistical.  Can I be Jamie Summers with Emma Peel’s wardrobe?
