Marylou and I (a.k.a. Wally) have lived in Southeast Michigan for over thirty
years. Although our immediate family is close by, our extended family is located from California
to Florida to Massachusetts and many points in-between. We hope they'll stop by regularly to see what their
Michigan relatives are doing.
From time to time we also plan to post information related to some of our interests. These include,
not necessarily in order of importance, woodworking, travel, gardening and genealogy.
We hope some of this will be of interest to others.
Listed below are our current pages. Click on the picture or in left column to be magically transported there.
What's new with us?

We are fortunate to claim four grandchildren and three 'honorary' grandchildren as part of our extended family.
The picture at the left is of our oldest and youngest grandkids, covering a span of seventeen years. For many more pictures of
all the grandkids, click on the picture.
Like many families, we have relatives and friends all over the U.S. and elsewhere.
It's hard to keep up-to-date on what's going on with everyone. So, we're posting some
pictures of the S.E. Michigan relatives in case you want to keep track of us. To see us,
click on the picture, or at 'Family Picture Album'.

A few days before Christmas (2005) we went to The Henry Ford to see the Disney exhibit and
Christmas decorations. The decorations seemed more subdued than previous years and a lot
of renovations are being done. Should be a good year in 2006.

Kristin Nyquist, Marylou's great-niece was married to Todd Lehman in May 2005 in
St. Lucia. On July 9, 2005, they hosted a reception for family and friends at the Tampa (Florida) Museum
of Art. Here are some pictures from that happy event.

In late January 2005 we traveled the Intercoastal Waterway from Port Isabel to Galveston, Texas
on the River Explorer. For pictures of this trip, as well as pictures from three previous
trips, click on the picture.

Our Family Tree is finally grown. We have the Goffeney genealogy provided primarily by Shirley Roth
Goffeney, with some additional information from Kasey Ruegsegger ; the Champlin/Flynn tree
from local sources and research by Marylou Goffeney. Click the Genealogy button at the left.
My older brother, Joe Goffeney, served in the U.S.
Navy from 1939 until
after WW II and again during the Korean
conflict. From 1939 until almost
the end of WW II he served aboard the
destroyer U.S.S. Case DD-370 and
was at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941.
Recently he wrote a history of
the U.S.S. Case which I think you will
find interesting. Click on 'Navy' icon in the left column, or on Joe's picture.
