This was painted in 1997 and is already an historical work inasmuch as the ball park, originally called Riverfront Stadium, has been demolished, and a new baseball park has been built. The downtown scene is viewed from across the Ohio River in Covington, Kentucky.  Cincinnati commemorates the riverboat era every few years with its "Tall Stacks" celebrations.  The particular celebration shown, however, is when the Delta Queen, originally from the Sacramento River, came to be home based in Cincinnati.
