Mt. Tamalpias rules the skyline of Marin County and forms the backdrop to the view from this boat oriented community.  In the early fall the branches of the Corte Madera slough are alive with migrating fowl and local water birds.  The birds hatched earlier in the year are swimming along with their extended families.  Similarly, it is a time to recall the seasons long past when the human young sailed and paddled the waterway.
