Gaschurn, Tirol

This small Austrian ski resort was popular in the years following WW2. The Austrian "Arlberg ski method" was internationally taught, and traditional Austrian ski attire was the vogue. Climbing the slopes was made easier with rope tows, "J" bars, "T" bars and the new chair lifts. The action was primarily on this beautiful little mountain shown after a heavy snow storm.
