Customers come to market in the larger passenger boats and in their own small boats.  All food and hardware items are delivered without bags or wrapping, so customers come prepared with their buckets and wicker baskets. All vendors are identified with the white straw hats.  In the background is a typical public conveyance boat, notice that valises, parcels and other possessions are put on top of the roof of the vessel.
