1 | American sector DMZ Korea looking North from Camp Dodge just outside the EM club. From here witnesed ambush and fire fight Feb '68. No one was killed in fire fight but eight died when a helicopter carrying wounded and medics crashed in the snowstorm that developed during the fight. There was also a 7 vehicle pileup on the barrier road in the snow due to brass rushing out to get in on the action. Our motor pool worked all night clearing the wreckage.
