The Whatcom Canoe Club (WCC) is a fairly new club. It was started just a few years ago with a group of about 15 people in Bellingham, Washington. While being new the club is fairly active. The club has monthly meetings, summer picnics, training clinics, and boating trips. Some trips are day trips and others are multi-day expeditions like boating the Bowron Lake circuit. Most members currently live in the Bellingham, WA vicinity. For membership information see the section below.

The Nooksack River, Whatcom Lake, Samish Lake, and Lake Padden are all within the Bellingham area.
The Whatcom Canoe Club membership is open to all. Yearly membership requires completion and signature of a Membership Application form and costs $10 per year. Membership Application.
Meetings are generally the second Wednesday night of each month, except December. They start at 6 p.m. and end about 8:30 p.m. The meeting usually consists of an occasional potluck, business meeting, and some sort of presentation of boating information or a trip. All visitors are welcome to show up during any meeting at any time.
The Whatcom Canoe Club maintains a Yahoo group for members to easily communicate on the latest trips and issues. Valid membership in the Whatcom Canoe Club is required to become a member of the Yahoo group.
