Fuel Delivery

Fuel is delivered to the engine by an injector located in the throttle body. The injector requires anywhere from 14.5 - 36 psi depending on design. Typically throttle body injectors are set near 15psi. To achieve this fuel pressure a special fuel pump is used. The fuel is send to the filter and fuel regulator. The fuel regulator pinches the fuel line until the desired pressure is achieved. Any excess fuel is returned to the fuel tank.
