G?

Haplogroup G is closely
related to its “brother” haplogroups, H, I, and J. This is because all of these groups have an
immediate common ancestor, Haplogroup F.
The STR values that the founders of each of these haplogroups carried
was probably very close, differing on only a few markers. Therefore, it is often difficult to
distinguish these groups. Since
Haplogroup H is only very rarely found outside the Indian subcontinent, it will
not be considered here where the likely ancestry is European or Middle Eastern.
The only sure way to
determine Haplogroup G membership is to have a “SNP” test. For more information on SNP testing

Very few haplotypes will
have exactly the modal values of Haplogroup G.
