This Tip presents the third, and my favorite, of the Weekly Review ideas. Again, it is nothing more than a method to construct an aid, a checklist, to help guide you through your Weekly Review. This Tip's technique, however, offers the most opportunity for a personalized, visually appealing Weekly Review backdrop.
The screenshot here is a sample created for this tip, and is just one example of the possibilities.
The purpose behind using this Tip's technique is akin to David Allen's insistence on the value of identifying your file folders with "machine-produced" labels. It's a bit mysterious, but a neat, clean, visually appealing "tool" simply and undeniably improves the results of using that tool. I hope you'll experiment with how this technique can improve your Weekly Review process. So let's get started.

Each editing program may handle such things slightly differently, and you may need to experiment to get things working just right. If you do choose this method, the rest of this Tip should give you some clues on how to handle the links. The example Home Page above was created with such a program. However ...
You can achieve essentially the same results using Word or Excel. The remainder of this Tip illustrates how to use these programs to create your Home Page. Note: The screenshots show using Excel, but the steps for using Word are nearly or exactly the same.
