Pepsi, RC Cola, Double Cola Huh?
I can tell you one thing about the south, Pepsi, RC Cola, Double Cola, Soda, Pop... What's up with that IT's all the same thing people.... COKE!! :-). I recall a time in my youth when working in a local grocery store I came in contact with my first weird person (non southern hehe), I was working price changes (back in the good old days when you had to scrap the price label and put a new one on) when a man came up and said "Excuse me", I politely turned around in my innocense and asked him how I could help him, he then proceeds to ask me "Where is the Soda located, well as I said before in the south it's all COKE doesn't matter what brand it's all called coke, so not knowing any better I sent him to the aisle for Baking Soda, about 5 minutes later the guy came back and said he couldn't find it so I took him over to the aisle and handed him the baking soda, he turned red in the face and said not baking soda.... Pop I want pop.... well I was confused because I never had heard it called pop before and didn't know what the crap he was asking for... I told him so and he said that he wanted some soda drink which made the light bulb come on and I said ohhhh you want Coke!!! he said he didn't like Coke and wanted a different brand so I took him over and showed him to the pop!! bwahahaha geeez still cracks me up. I look back and think that "Of all the things in life I've lost... I miss my mind the most"
