Saturday Morning *sigh* the Illusion is gone!
Kids today have no concept of what is important in life. Saturday I was up before my twin boys and daughter so when they finally woke up I asked them if they wanted to watch cartoons to which they replied "no thanks... we will watch them later", now this is just so much different than it was when I was a kid and we LIVED for Saturday all week long waiting for Saturday to arrive so that I could wake up at 6am and watch cartoons till noon.... nothing was greater than this, that was living and life was GREAT! Today my kids have cartoon network and nickleodian and can watch cartoons many many times a day any time of the day they want or any day they want, so I say the Saturday Illusion is gone and my poor kids have no concept of what is important in kids lives :-). I guess my kids look at me like a old man when I tell them about longing for Saturday just like I used to look at my dad when he told me about walking to school barefoot in 3 inches of snow. Oh well such is life... and it's mine I want to keep it.WhoMe
