Things I learned Today!
So I had to go today to have my drivers license renewed, I could have done it over the Internet but Nooooo! I was delusional and decided to go wait in the never moving line. I get there and wait in a line for 45 min without moving and when this line finally starts moving I get to a desk where I hand my papers to this lady who in turn gives me a number, glad to have a number I follow her instructions and move to the next room where much to my dismay I see about 30 people sitting in chairs staring numbly at their number. I sat there beside a kid who is ranting and raving about this being a government run facility and how bad the government sucked, then for some reason unknown to me he asks what I do for a living, I smile at him in my best WhoMe smile and tell him that I work for the government, he just kind of gulps and within a few minutes he has switched seats :-). They finally call my number after another 30-40 minutes and I proceed to the photo booth, I hand over my papers and she tells me to smile for the camera and I ask if I can just keep my old picture which was me about 100pounds lighter she informs me that I can't this I can't understand and ask her why not since the last 3 people in front of me got to keep theirs, she informs me that I need a new picture, I guess the other one was just too SKINNY, anyway I smile for the camera and move to the waiting line, the lady calls me back and tells me the camera cut off my head, she then adjusts the camera and makes me smile yet again and then I move off to wait for the picture Id to come out, she calls me back yet again and tells me that it still cut the top of my head off and that I was going to have to SQUAT in front of the camera much to the amusement of everyone laughing in line behind and in front of me, needless to say the picture looks pretty stupid and I felt pretty dumb although I'm big enough that noone would get in my way if I was to get angry about it. So what did I learn today? I have learned that if it can be done over the Internet then so be it! I won't be back if I have the option.WhoMe
