| Voyeurs by Leloi Next to a tree Inuyasha sat in silence, watching a pile of clothing on the ground in the clearing beyond. Someone or something was beneath it, making it wiggle to some sort of steady rhythm. Kagome approached the hanyou, puzzlement in her eyes as she watched him watch the pile of clothes. “Inuyasha, why…?” In a flash, his hand went out and covered her mouth, bringing her body down next to his as he continued to watch. In the clearing the clothes were thrown back a bit and seemingly regurgitated Sango. Arching her back she let out a low moan as her body rocked over someone unseen. A pair of hands touched her back, the right one covered with a glove. Kagome’s eyes went wide as she turned to look at the hanyou that watched this. Her hand pulled his hand off of her mouth. “That’s…” His mouth came close to her ear. “Don’t distract them.” Reaching out, her own hands caught his head, bringing a soft ear down to her lips. “Why are you watching them?” In the clearing, Sango cried out and tensed, arching her back a moment before slumping down against the one below her. Inuyasha watched in silence a moment, holding his breath. “They asked me to keep watch. Many youkai would be glad to kill them when they are this vulnerable.” His words were infinitely soft and warm against her ear. In the clearing the pile of clothing moved and Miroku’s head emerged from beneath the robes. Rearranging their cover over him, his body began a new rhythm. “Why… are they?” Kagome breathed, watching as Sango’s naked leg appeared to wrap around the one above her. At the moment she was very aware as to how close Inuyasha was to her. His side and thigh touched hers as he leaned in close to whisper to her. Occasionally his chin rested on her shoulder as he spoke. “She agreed to provide him an heir. Now is her fertile time so… they have a really good chance of succeeding.” His eyes held hers a moment before the moans from the clearing made him look back. Another leg had joined the first and they were tightened on Miroku’s body. Arms were wrapped around his back, pulling him down. Inuyasha let out a bedraggled sigh and bowed his head, staring down at his lap. Kagome watched as Miroku’s body tensed for a moment and then relaxed in exhaustion. “Inuyasha…” But the hanyou was gone. Her attention had been so intent on what was happening in the clearing that she didn’t notice him getting up and leaving. Quickly she crawled behind a tree so as not to catch the monk or the demon slayer’s attention as they sat up and began to get dressed. When they finished, Miroku took Sango’s hand and began to lead her off in another direction, but not without looking in Kagome’s general direction and mouthing “Thanks, Inuyasha.” Kagome pressed herself against the tree, unsure what to do. Where was Inuyasha? Why had he left so suddenly? As if to answer, a warm, familiar body sat down next to her own. “Pesky little youkai…” Inuyasha sighed, leaning back against the tree. “It was waiting to strike at the last moment… but I stopped it.” A smile touched his lips at the satisfaction of a job well done. “Miroku and Sango left already.” Kagome breathed, looking at the hanyou. “I know.” “Then why…?” Inuyasha moved a bit so he could look at her with ease. “It excited you, didn’t it?” “What?” “Seeing them go at it like that. You were excited.” It wasn’t really a question, he had been stating a fact. “I… I don’t…” Kagome flustered, trying to hide her heated cheeks. “Admit it! You have ecchi thoughts too!” Inuyasha smirked at her knowingly. “And you didn’t?” The girl shot back. “You were just as engrossed with what they were doing and you watched LONGER than I did. You couldn’t keep your eyes off of them.” “I’m glad that youkai came when it did.” Inuyasha admitted, standing up and offering his hand to her. Warily she took his hand allowed him to pull her up into his arms. “Why is that?” Instead of answering, he clutched her to him, rubbing his face against her shoulder. His legs stepped closer as if he was trying to stand in the same spot she was occupying. It was closer than one of his deepest hugs. His body was pressed completely against hers and she could feel the racing of his heart in his chest. His arms were like iron around her back so it was a little difficult to breathe. Footsteps brought her back against the tree as his arms cradled her back away from the rough bark. Ragged breaths filled her ear as he trembled against her. “Inuyasha?” Her head rested against his shoulder, her nose touching his neck with his beads beneath her cheek. One of his legs slid between hers as his hips rested against her. His body sufficiently pinned her against the tree. “Can you feel it?” “What?” His hips moved a bit against hers. “This.” Kagome felt something hard between them. With his movements she became increasingly aware of it. “That’s… you?” Slowly he nodded and rested his face against her neck. “That’s why I’m glad when the youkai came. If I hadn’t been distracted from what I was watching, I may have…” His words stopped and he pulled away from her warm body. “Sorry if I scared you, holding you like that.” “You were excited too.” Bowing his head, he accepted her assessment. “What would you have done?” “You… don’t want to know.” Casually he shrugged his shoulders and squatted before her. Gracefully Kagome knelt before him. “Would it have hurt?” Biting his lip he looked away. “Probably.” “You would hurt me?” Slowly she leaned forward on her hands and crawled towards him. “Not on purpose… but I do have demon blood so there’s always that chance.” “So did your father and he was fully demon.” Sitting back on her heels, she stared up at him. “My father… was very powerful and very old.” “Do you think he ever feared he would harm your mother?” The hanyou’s breath caught and he shook his head. “I… don’t know.” His knee rested on the ground as he leaned against the other thigh. “I think… he may have held back for her sake. His true form was gigantic. Just keeping that in a smaller body must have been hard enough. I don’t have that problem. I don’t fear becoming gigantic and ripping you apart with my size.” A smile crossed his lips. “You’ve seen me naked… that’s about as big as I get.” Kagome blushed and looked away, embarrassed at his bluntness. “I mean… the only thing you’d probably have to worry about is me getting overly excited and pushing a little too fast a little too long… or maybe my claws scratching at you when the moment…” Blinking suddenly, he realized what exactly he had been rambling about to her. A blush crossed his face as he sat down before her. “Sorry about that. Those should be my fears, not yours.” Staring up at him with wide eyes, the girl audibly gulped. “Kagome…” Her name was spoken tenderly. “I would never intentionally harm you. If we ever were to… I think I can trust myself to be careful with you.” His hand beckoned her to him. Kagome crawled the distance between them and sat down between his knees, feeling his warm arms wrap around her. “Anyway, that’s not something we have to think about yet… not until you’re ready.” His cheek rested on the top of her head. “Are you ready?” A low chuckle escaped him as he rubbed his chin against her hair thoughtfully. “I’m demon. I’ve been physically mature for a while now. It makes no difference to me whether I mate now or a hundred years from now. Although… I would regret…” His words wouldn’t come out. Instead he held her tight against his body and closed his eyes, drinking in her scent. “Had Kikyou lived…” “I would have become human… and lived with her. But that was a long time ago. Things change.” Regret filled his voice as he nuzzled Kagome’s hair. “You would still… if she asked you to.” Pulling back a bit to look into her face, his eyes were filled with concern. “Dog demons are faithful to their mates, Kagome.” Taking a deep breath as if to brace herself, she looked back into his eyes. “Then who is your mate, Inuyasha?” The hanyou blinked, unprepared for her question. “I… Once you could have called Kikyou my mate.” Kagome looked away, berating herself for asking such a direct question. Of course, she already knew the answer. “But I lost her. Now…” “She’s back and you can continue to love her.” His arms tightened around her. “I know she has to return to the land of the dead. I’m not stupid. I know she must find peace.” “So… you would make love to her if she asked you to?” Kagome whispered, unsure why she said it. “No.” His tone was urgent, making her look back at him. “Kagome, I know she’s dead. My mate now…” His fingers trailed across her cheek, catching tears. “I may be sad at my loss, but I am faithful to my present mate. My… woman.” The word was filled with a gentle mocking from what the other demons termed Kagome… even his own brother. All except Kouga… but Kouga had delusions when it came to Kagome. His hand caught hers, bringing her fingertips to his lips. “My woman.” Slowly his tongue lapped at her fingers, tasting her skin. Closing his eyes, his lips brushed the palm of her hand before trailing off to her wrist. The hanyou held her hand to his cheek and stared back down at her. Kagome blinked up at him, staring at the warm hand that covered hers, cradling it against the cool cheek. “One day, Kagome…” His hand pulled hers away and clasped it in his own. “Have patience with me. There is so much I have to do before… before I can be a good mate to you.” Kissing her wrist, he finally set her hand free. “You have to settle for a not so good one… for now.” A smile crossed his lips as he stood up. “Miroku and Sango will be wondering where we are.” The girl nodded and regained her feet. “I won’t tell them that you were watching them go at it.” Inuyasha smirked, guiding her back through the forest. “You were watching too.” “But I was asked to.” “I don’t think THAT’S what they had in mind.” The girl pouted. “I wouldn’t want to be watched like that.” The hanyou chuckled. “Of course not. No youkai would dare interrupt when I was involved.” “I can imagine you stopping just to do battle.” Pursing his lips, Inuyasha gave her a nearly frightened look. “Don’t even joke about that… or it WILL happen.” Kagome laughed and continued on, followed by the hanyou.
