| Boxer Cross was developing a new semiconductor
instrumentation product to measure wafer characteristics. To control this hardware, software was
required. The software needed to be expandable, robust, easy to maintain, and near real time.

| A modular architecture was created using COM as the
interface between components. To handle real time hardware control, multithreading on Windows NT was
used. MFC allowed for quick development of the user interface portion. |
