Succulents and Caudiciforms

For me the beauty of succulents and caudiciforms comes from their strangeness. The growth forms and life strategies required to survive their harsh environments have resulted in plants that at times are downright bizarre in shape, form and color. Beauty is definitely in the eye of the beholder.

For the grower of these plants there is always something new to see. There is no one growth season, so at anytime of the year there are species in all stages of their yearly growth cycle. Because of this variety, an understanding of cultivation needs for each species is required to successfully grow these unique plants.  Please email me directly with comments, corrections, or trade:   wintergrower at comcast dot net   (change the at and dot - done to confuse spam spiders)
